I just want to get this off my chest here and i'm not going to get my hopes up for the citeh game.
I do not fear relegation, all I think we should aim for is top 10 and europa league, but it's easier said then done. If we line up like this against city, there will be no reason why we can't win it.

Someone's already posted this, but i'll say it again, we will massively benefit from cabaye going into the free role and sissoko as a DM who can help us drive through the midfield. Against reading at home, cabaye was in the free role and gave cisse loads of support, and we should of battered reading. But I honestly believe tiote can still pick up his last season form. Him and sissoko will be beasts and will give us a very physical presence against city. City may line up with 3 at the back which means they'll play all through the middle so that's why we'll benefit with sissoko and tiote in the holding midfielders roles. But other than that, it will be 4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1. Now because they know they've lost the title, they will play with more freedom and more relaxed, and there are two sides from looking at this. The disadvantages of this is that they will be more dangerous and more adventurous on the attack. The advantages for us, is that we can try and scare them, put them under pressure right from the start and try and get an early goal. There is something about us, we seem to be more of a threat against top 6 teams, because we get men forward and get more possession. Take our 4-3 loss to man u, if we had our new signings, we'd probably of won that, same for arsenal (maybe a draw), tottenham, liverpool. Pardew has to set the team up right, and put everyone in the right position, otherwise we've got no chance. We need at least a point from this game, and there's no reason why we can't get it, even a win. One thing we cannot do is go defensive, otherwise we'll get torn apart. Just attack right from kick off, scare them, silence the crowd, and we might just get our 2nd away win of the season. On paper, man city have got more quality, but so do we! I reckon it will be a high scoring game, and if we turn up right, 3-2 to the toon!

Go Go Go geordie scare the pants off Man City, silence the crowd, sit down and take a reality pill for heavens sake. Your posts are getting into the realms of pure fantasy now. Enjoy all football banter but come on, keep it credible.
Or maybe we could go:
Elliott
M'biwa Perch Taylor Anita/Jonas
Anita/Jonas Sissoko
Marveaux Cabaye Gouffran
Cisse
Definetley agree on cabaye playing in the free role, he will give cisse loads of support and hopefully we can score a few goals. If pardew lines up with something like this then I've got a good feeling for the game.
