I have just been reading this quote supposedly recently released by Mike Ashley about the club the fans and the financial issues but it was this that shocked me.

"The fans want this process to happen more quickly and they want huge amounts spent in the transfer market so that the club can compete at the top table of European football now. I am not stupid and have listened to the fans. I have really loved taking my kids to the games, being next to them and all the fans. But I am now a dad who can't take his kids to a football game on a Saturday because I am advised that we would be assaulted. Therefore, I am no longer prepared to subsidise Newcastle United.

I am putting the club up for sale. I hope that the fans get what they want and that the next owner is someone who can lavish the amount of money on the club that the fans want."

This quote is at least a year old mate.

You have got to laugh at the SMB's we've been looking at Jermain Lens for ages and now they start looking at him and suddenly we're stealing their transfer list haha.

Exactly mate. We've been tracking Jeremain Lens for some time, so any smb's saying we are stealing their targets can stop spouting rubbish.
Jeremain Lens is a very good player, would love him at the toon.

And you were looking at Gardner, Larsson and Gibson, one has signed, one is coming up for talks tomorrow and should sign and the other should be confirmed aswell shortly. Unlucky SGBS

The only one that we had a confirmed interest in was Larsson. That was in Jan. We ceased to be interested at that point. The other players, we have no interest in, and believe me when i say every NUFC fan will breath a sigh of relief if they all sign for you SMB's.

Newcastle were looking at Larrson until January and have not talked or offered him a deal and the other two are paper talk.

To be honest i don't want any of them 3 at newcastle, you can have them.
Really hope the rumours of us being interested in gibson arent true. Average player who just shoots from 30 yards out every chance he gets.

The names mentioned on this site are from geordie dreamers. You will not have a marquee signing that you wish for because lets face it who wants to play for Allan Pardew?
Before you all rant and rave, think about how perlious your club was 18 months ago. Super Mike is trying to balance your club and he took on the debt personally so the banks didn't put you in admin.

i was being sarcastic with the english players coming, its ok buying foreign players on the cheap but what happens when fifa change the home grown talent rules

We are more than covered for the homegrown rule.

My mate was at the plate on sat and was speaking to S Stone, he asked who'll be wearing the No.9 this season and Stone said " a big name striker is signing very soon" but he couldn't give my mate any names Any ideas Ed? The shire milky bar kid.

new villa manager alex mcCLeish may have a raid of some premier league clubs including newcastle. it is reported that cheik tiote, barton and as a replace for ashley young, jonas guitierez. with the possiblilty of emile heskey and carlos cuellar going the other way.

also jose enrique to liverpool to replace flop paul koncheskey, because he looks set for a move away from anfield after only 1 season there

Lua Lua is not good enough for the premier league. As for Ireland, all he is good for is keeping the physio room warm. Havent seen much of Gibson. But Manu are no mugs, they never get rid of descent players.

Lua lua seemed to cope fine against Chelsea. he should be given a shot. See what he can do in pre-season then sell on if he won't fit in.

Young ameobi came on in that game against chelsea too and both him and young lua lua should be held on to. both look like they got bags of pace which any defence hates and loads of potential. just what we need at the minute

This is obviously a scumberland fan he can't even spell money or mike. they should really set up some schools there. .

We could go out an spend 15million on Whickham, 6 million on Gibson, $ million on Wes Brown, and 5 million on Carlton Cole.
OR, we could wait and secure our top targets for the smallest fees possible, leaving back up funding for the future. I for one hope we don't get sucked into paying way over the odds for average players. . like the tramps down the road are doing.

Mate, the window isn't open yet, hardly any teams have made major moves yet and most players are still on holiday. After 1st July expect alot of movement and a few big money deals.

Don't think we've been let down by the fat controller, july the 1st the transfer window opens, stop been too impatient wait till the season starts to see who we get in then slag him off , can't grumble with ben arfa , maverix , ba , cabaye, big ash is bringing in flair speed and skill to our midfield while he gets rid of one paced Nolan and Barton , i believe he will spend the money on strikers hes got 5 weeks to do it . i hope so anyway lol

Gardner is good, Gibson is s**t no matter who they play for. To all SMB's that seem to think that spendings millions on players like Gardner, and Gibson, Dong, Wickham, Brown, O'Shea is exciting, and good business. Do you think it will be good business once you have been relegated and have to try and sell these average players for a loss.
I'd rather stick with what we've got than sign this dross (apart from Wickham but not for 8million plus).

sunderland hav had a 9mill bid rising to 13mill accepted by ipswich not saying we will get him but maybe this might shut some of yous mags up who say we have got no money to spend that's just the start at least this is one transfer rumour yous can't jump on cos yous can't afford it
