I always found his final ball was not good enugh

For me he used to drift out of the game too much, and was inconsistent. He always came across as a bit of a moaner don't know if he was, but we weren't the only ones where he didn't stay long, he has had quite a few clubs in his career and the majority have been short stays like ourselves

I was a fan of Routledge when he was here but was never consistent, moving to Swansea was easily the best decision he has made in his career.

Swansea are playing him more central.
All we did was shove him out on the wing and tell him to run for the line.
We did not see he had more to his game than just sprinting.

buzzing for villa game, sissoko next patrick vierra, mbiwa future NUFC captain leading us to champions league in a few years :) if we beat villa, it will change our whole season around. Get a few wins on the bounce, with good football being played? avoid relegation? more like top 10!
team for villa:
krul
debuchy mbiwa coloccini santon
cabaye anita sissoko
marveaux cisse gouffran

Forget Viera, Sissoko is the new Yaya Toure, quick and strong like Toure, with driving runs up the pitch - fantastic signing.

Agree, a win against Aston villa will be a season changer, if we win it will carry motivation to beat chelsea. Win 10 of our remaining 15 games, we're guaranteed to stay up and possibly finish mid table top 10. This will count as a one off season for AP, next season if we're still not challenging top 7, we'll get laurent blanc, but I have every faith pardew can lead us to Europa league, but this villa game is a must win.

Have to agree with the Mackem a couple of youtube clips and people start getting ahead of themselves. Give our new players some time playing in the EPL before judging how good they are, there have been so many players labelled as the next ...... and they haven't lived up to it.

Tell that to Ben Arfa, one of the most technically gifted players in the league. He's at Newcastle so clearly we've got some kind of appeal to world class players, stop being such a downer.

The two player that we should buy before the Window close are dries mertens for left central forward and miralem sulejmani for left winger and send a few of the youths out on loan and go for siem de jong and luuk de jong now or in the summer.

This player is a bit old but can still a job for us at left back john arne rise and I know we have brought a lb but he would be better in the development squad.

Don't see the point in bringing Haidara who was starting every game in the Nancy first team and putting him in the development squad were he won't improve we should of just sent him back to Nancy on loan til the end of the season if he's not first team.

Alan Pardew defending his transfer plicy earlier, should he have to? Many toons saying he should have signed young english talent, I think he has been canny. The young french players are just as good and have more experience. when you look in comparison- Phil Jones- 16 million or Yanga M'Biwa- 6 million. Jack Rodwell- 15 million or Moussa Sissoko- free. Daniel Sturridge- 12 million or Yoann Gouffran- again very little money. Cisse, Cabaye, Tiote were vertually unheard of before Newcastle, Ba had only played 6 months at West Ham, Santon was a product of the Inter youth system, Collocini not a target for europe's elite. I think the new signings could prove many people wrong!

Phil Jones was 18 not 23 and he is likely to be a future England captain. The other Englishmen are also younger probably increasing their price but they are still too expensive

So which young english talent should we have bought

And maybe phil jones won't be england captain

Mason Bennett - Derby County - Forward
Devante Cole - Manchester City - Forward
Nathaniel Chalobah - Chelsea - Defender
Harry Kane - Tottenham Hotspur - Forward
Ravel Morrison - West Ham United - Midfielder/Forward
Ross Barkley - Everton - Midfielder
Jack Butland - Birmingham City - Goalkeeper
Josh McEachran - Chelsea - Midfielder
and then you could even add tom ince, luke shaw, delfoneso,
I would of even spent 12mil on sturridge
