Are any other Toon faithful feeling smug about the first 3 games? I just hope we cans stuff QPR in the next match with a big 2 fingers to Joey. Also, we can only get better, HBA back soon and hopefully 3 more player before Wednesday... Howay the lads.

Fantastic win today we are getting wins without playing well,signs of a good team and with villa everton spurs arsenal ets struggling we could get top5/6,one problem though the empty seats today ten thousand of them on the back of a derby win,we are hypocrites laughing at sunderland but they don't have that many I recall they had 48 thousand last home match and there next home match chelsea is nearly sold out.granted there last match was us and I will judge them when they play fulham etc.
Believable5
Unbelievable0
I agree about attendances,I also think it is pathetic when newcastle fans try and belittle sunderlands attendances it makes me cringe,gone are the days anyone can afford a ticket and both clubs fans have to pick and choose matches.42 thousand is still good alot of Prem teams would love that.both nufc and safc have great fans and are looked at with envy.
Agree3
Disagree0
I was at the game and the small patches that could be seen in the ground of empty seats was ridiculous.
All the "fans" that have decided to stay away in protest at MA will be back if we carry on doing well and then claim to be true 100% fans thru thick and thin which is stupidity and shallowness.
Never thought we would get glory supporters after our recent history but looks like it
The seat 2 away from me has been occupied by the same guy for las 4 year and he hasnt been seen this season so when he gets back i think we will torture him for being a prawn sarnie supporter
Agree0
Disagree0
Supposedly people were having trouble getting tickets i heard when people were ringing up to order tickets they're were being told there was no seats together just single seats.
Agree0
Disagree0
Bollocks there was loads of empty seats together even rows of about ten,at the end of the day its fulham and we are picking and choosing matches.I bought four together about twenty minutes before kickoff for relatives down south,southend united fans.My brother and he's wife went and they are mackems because there was nothing on at the cinema.
Agree0
Disagree0
Wasnt many seats available cos some season ticket holders who have seats reserved didnt turn up which means the seat wasnt freed up for sale

The doom mongers were telling us that the Management were destroying the team spirit in the club.Anyone who has watched the team in the 4 matches played are clearly aware that that prediction was wrong.I think there is more togetherness in the squad,as it done quietly,calmly and done as a group,without the Nolan /Barton hystreonics and is building increasing confidence among the group,in sharp contrast to the brittle atmosphere that typified team spirit last season.Take a bow John Carver it looks like a bit of Sir Bobby's philosophy is being put back into our club.
Believable4

Booby was a great man to man manager and carver seems very up with that and it could be the main reason we doing well and looking togethor.

I know how you guys love to quote goals to games as a measure of how good a player is.
I've heard we can have a striker who has scored 8 goals in 13 matches and he can play for us even after the transfer window closes.
That player is Leon Best ,not a bad strike rate
Believable5
Unbelievable2
I like what ive seen from him People seem to hate him for some reason but hes proving good
Agree5
Disagree0
Him and demba ba are best strikers we hav atm. shola okay as back up and loverboy is useless
Agree2
Disagree2
Best is worth keeping just cos he has a really good scoring record against london clubs
Agree1
Disagree0
Best started to come good last season when he got injured and was out for near enough rest of the season. He deserves a chance and AP will give him it too. He said in todays papers he had known him for years and is a good player who benefits from runs in the side which he will get this year

i think ashley, llambias and pardew have done a great job this season look at the signings we've made and the players who have left. you can see a big change in our play. we were defensive and offensive.
Believable7
Unbelievable4
Ashley is a T**T
Agree2

So what match did you watch today. Fulham were the better team, We passed the ball sideways and back, sideways and back, sideways and back so many times. Our two goals were poor from Fulhams point of view, Fisrt was a keepers error, second a lack of defensive concentration. I love NUFC but this team is crap
Agree2
Disagree3
What you on about are you a mackem? fulham were better sometimes and we were better other times, we had most chances and how was the goal bad keeping he made a good save but best was at the right place at the right time

Newcastle have launched a shock triple bid to sign Lionel Messi, C Ronaldo and Maicon.
What?
Just as probable as some of the other rumours on here
(this is not actually true)
On a more serious note, anyone know how good this goalkeeper is?
And also a friend of mine who has just been to France came back on the same flight as Aly Cissokho today.
I dont know whether they're pulling my leg or not, but if not looks like we have our new left back?

After another win today pardew feels that another striker is needed he is going to put his faith in leon best shola, obertan and lovenkrands.
Thats bad news for most fans but pardew said after the game that he had faith in best and he feels happy with him.
Yes he scores but hes just not good enough
Ali cissokho or erik pieters will sign before the end of the window maybe even both hopefully. Santon was looked at on loan but that seems unlikely.
Believable1
Unbelievable0
Please read your post back to yourself slowly it makes no sense at all.. are you saying that after the win pards said we need strikers but he is going to keep faith in the ones we have?

"Another striker IS needed".... That's bad news for toon fans? Have you just crawled out of a cave?

Pieters in PSV squad and Maigo is playing for souchx as i type, we are getting NO-ONE in are we?? If either deal was close they would not be risked in their club games today, another load of lies from the Puppet

Thought Pieters was playing his farewell game and the striker was playing on the condition his club would talk to us? Maybe wrong but just what I've heard.

Like gyan would be sold to newcastle and I don't think agent ashley has 25m to afford him. sorry he does but won't part with his money
Agree0

As if gyan would be 25 million you thick smb more like 10 and thats to much i think..especially when crouch is available for 8 or 9 million...
Agree2

Gyan is around the 15 mark
Agree0

Funny so sunderland paid 13.2m for him, he scores 10 goals for us last season, yet Mandy Carroll scores 10 goals and is sold for 35m?? shut up you clown sunderland would expect at least double what we paid for him so 25m would be the minimum asking price.SGBS

MA will now seriously think that the good start to our season means he can keep his wallet firmly closed. If we don't invest in further additions to our squad I believe we will face a long hard season and without doubt another relegation campaign. And Mr Ashley don't think that the warning signs were never there as I have no doubts that a majority of our fans will agree................... I hope I'm wrong and that he opens the cheque book in the next 3 days, but I have this feeling he won't.

Ed what I don't get is that Carr watched tiote for three years at twente. There are loads of great talents at twente like Douglas and Ruiz to name two. Why hasn't carr preached these players to Ashley, Pardew and the board?
{Ed042's Note - Honest answer, I dont know mate, maybe he has, just know he is very thorough with his scouting, as you said about Tiote... not thinking of signings or lack of for now tbh just enjoying a good performance and win, will worry about signings tomorrow}
Believable3

Pieters in in the starting 11 for PSV, he isn't coming to us. If he was close to signing, he would have been left out today.
We will not sign anyone new, the bright start has MA thinking we don't need anyone, he is wrong.

does,nt krull look like he,s going to be one of best keepers in premiership i mean sunderland paid 9 million for gorden(over priced totally) and united paid a fortune for there new keeper..and cabaye is getting better as is obertan think they settled in to the pace ed042 what you think mate
{Ed042's Note - Really impressive again, two or three top notch saves again today.. a lot of good performances today especially 2nd half, Cabaye and Obertan very impressive as well as Krul, between the 3 for motm imo}

Relegation battle after 3 games?? you geordies are funny, 2 points away from home against liverpool and swansea, one loss but we didn't pay Howard Webb did we unlike you did, great going when your best player is Krul, what happens when he has bad games and makes mistakes. Your luck will run out soon especially after it comes to wed and you haven't made anymore signings and have been lied to by pardew again. SGBS

Sports direct is his business nufc is his play thing

He made 800 million from sports direct he wont make any thing from nufc..simples
Agree0

Your comment makes no sense as most people love their playthings and would not want to see them hurt or damaged .This applies to all playthings ,animal ,human, prize motor or football club.
Agree1
Disagree0
I think ashley originally bought it thinking it was a quick way to make a couple hundred million but never new about the loan with barclays that become repayable as soon as the club became sold thats what is known as due diligance...but one thing for sure he knows how to make money simple as that and honestly think the man knows what he,s doing even if we agree or not..
Agree0
Disagree0
Love him or hate him the clubs on a financial footing now that most other clubs can dream of..we have no debt no loans at all and we are making money. 99% of people would rather make more money than they spend simples so ashley is no different the only thing is he,s far more gifted than most people on here as he,s a self made billionaire and there aint a lot of them about so love him or hate him the clubs financially strong with no money worries...ed042 do you agree?
{Ed042's Note - I will let you know come Thursday morning ha look love him or hate him, and I think most hate him, financially you cant complain tbh, done a hell of a lot for the club, think the team has been improved, youth system is now producing quality young talent, squad has depth for the first time in god knows how long, even agree with most if not all the sales/players gone, but all that good work hinges on getting two players over the next 3 days, LB and ST, have had faith they will come in and still do but if they dont fan backlash will be a big one, regardless of the great start we`ve had and all the other good that has been done, next few days are make or break for Big Mike and DL, if they dont deliver the fans will turn on them for good this time imo}
Agree0
Disagree0
The club has no debt?
Of course we have debt - just that it's not to the banks now but to Ashley himself.
It still has to be paid even if Ashley walks away.
Do you honestly believe the tight one has just waved his magic wand and said "oh vanish debt - begone"?
In fact I heard we now have more debt than when Freddie turned the club over.
{Ed042's Note - Sorry should have said that. We do have an interest free loan owed to Ashley, which is much better than owing it to a bank, large chunk of what was killing us was the interest combined with penalties of millions for Freddie not paying the loans for nearly 3 years. As for the rumour that we have more debt now than when Shepherd left, its complete BS mate dont believe it}
Agree0
Disagree0
Thats what i meant its common knowledge he put is own money in..but how stupid does it sound its like saying your going to borrow yourself money to fix your own car(if you know what i mean)anyway since ashley joined he,s paid for every thing inc players cash add that up what he,s spent sice buying us..there is only man city and chelsea pay cash every one else pays over a set period...on top of that when he came sheppard had spent all our sponsor money on getting owen..ashley does invest it...ed042 do you agree with this aswell

{Ed042's Note - Nail on the head lad. Would be very surprised if there`s any real developments today with the match being on. At least we know we`re guaranteed a frantic three days. Latest on FW situation is posted on other post, LB situation remains the same, tomorrow should reveal a lot}

its been 48hours since we were ment to tie up the deal for the LB and there is nothing maybe one of the 2 will be at the game today? ed do you have any news on the striker situation? who is the cisse guy?
{Ed042's Note - Maigas agent was quoted as saying he and the club agreed a deal which if he agreed to play in their last game they would green light a move. Nolan Roux last night for Brest and was said to have been "like a ghost" by the French media ha looked as if he wasnt arsed which is very unlike him, read into that what you will, as for Cisse we have been linked along with Fulham but would take a 10m+ offer as far as i`m aware}

can everyone stop panicking still few days of window left , things always heat up last few days, also i think we should give ma a chance as much as i hate him , he has balanced things out at club finacially, we spent millions years ago and still got relegated have some faith in what we have got, they need support not negative comments, try and reserve judgment till window is closed lads, we will do well this season
Believable2
Unbelievable1
The trouble with waiting so late to sign up players is prices get over inflated and clubs end up panic buying imo. For what its worth i still can't see us signing anyone and frankly if Maiga is the only forward on offer at that price i would not risk it.
