I fear it may be pardew times up if we get knocked out by city and lose to Chelsea and spurs

Believable0 Unbelievable0

JToon reading all your posts over the last week you are an absolute joke. You predict a 4-0 win and then now feel hard done by and your analysis of the game is nothing short of hilarious. It was 2 v poor teams, Sunderland showed more fight and Newcastle did not at any point in the game play 'amazing' football. In fact with some v good players in that team your brand of football is really poor. You had pressure in parts but never looked dominant. Both teams have some immense and sensible supporters. your definitely not one of them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lemonchops, the football we played was way better there was no cutting edge. All of sunderlands' play was literally like stoke. but yes we were very poor and were beat by the worst team in the league who are destined for relegation.

For a top flight club we must have one of the worst management teams in the history of the Premier League. DOF Joe Kinnear, Manager Alan Pardew, 1st team coaches, John Carver & Steve Stone. Where else would they get their positions in a premier or even a championship club?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I disagree about pardew but I agree with the rest. originally pardew wanted malky mackay as his number 2. steve stone is a poor coach, need someone like gian biscotti

Agree0 Disagree0

No I disagree
Just because you lose the derby doesn't mean you can pile crap on the management
I can't really say anything on Mike and Kinnear as I know nowt about them but Pardew has done alright

You are solid in mid table, shouldn't really be having complaints

Agree0 Disagree0

Pardew makes the same changes week in week out. It is all to obvious. Once again we start slow and for me we have to many players who don't understand or dare I say care what a derby is all about. We got beat because Sunderland wanted it more. Beaten by the worst team in the league says it all really.

Agree0 Disagree0

No complaints? Mr mackem Newcastle is one of the biggest clubs in the land and should be up there fighting for top 6

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with JToon, I think Pardew's tactics and team selections have been very good. It is clear though that we lack something in the coaching department, that extra edge to tighten things up.

We are close to being a good side, but silly errors keep costing us.

Agree0 Disagree0

We are not a big club. We just have a very big and loyal fan base. That doesn't make us big. We had a our chance to start competing at the right end when we finished 5th but our illustrious leaders passed that by and instead are happy with mediocrity and surviving in the PL.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fnuklnuk yes we are a big club, no questions about it. You cannot be a big club with out a big and loyal and passionate fanbase.

Agree0 Disagree0

JToon you flatter yourself
We have a good fan base and support
We even had the Pope with a top
We had the best attendance is accordance with local population last season yet we don't rate ourselves that good, it's how good ya play not the size of the stadium

If Manchester United got relegated in 10 years and struggled in the top league, would you class them as a big club? No

Agree0 Disagree0

Top 6 - have you been watching?

Agree0 Disagree0

JToon as much as I admire your blind faith and passion for the club you are certainly misguided. A big club wins thing. When was the last time we did? A big club shows ambition and has players wanting to sign. We don't have any of that. The only thing that is big about our club is the fan base and the ground.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's not blind faith ffs, and mr mackem please don't compare Sunderland to Newcastle in club stature.

More and more Geordies becoming more negative and pessimistic, and it's the crisis the club has been through many times in the last 6 or 7 years. Ashley and JFK are the ones who make us look like a small club! Newcastle United is a sleeping giant that will never be awaken under Ashley or kinnear. You can say "pardew out" all you want and he could very well be sacked soon, but who will we get? Bielsa? Rijkaard? Laudrup? Well we're not going to get any of them with these two clowns at a once great club!

Agree0 Disagree0

Here we go again. Have you been reading the standard football catchphrase book? Newcastle are a sleeping giant. Don't make me laugh!

Please advise when you were this said giant? Last top division title 1927, last FA cup 1955, last league cup 1976. Your giant must have been in a century long hibernation!

And before you start I am not one of those deluded SAFC supporters. I thought you outplayed us yesterday but we out battled you. Draw was probably a fair result but like you said one of those goals just happened to go in for once!

As for stature, why not compare both clubs? Both North East, both with good stadiums, both with decent average attendances when compared to other PL teams and both with passionate fans.

You got beat, move on! And concentrate on your team instead of slagging us off!

As for your 'Stoke' style of play comments, that was good tactical awareness from our new manager. You had your 4th and 5th choice CB's playing so it made sense to play two big front men and bombard you!

As for Mike Ashley, he might not be everyone's cup of tea but he has you club on on a good financial ground now with the ability to meet the new FFP regulations. Stops you becoming the next Leeds or Portsmouth!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes we are a sleeping giant. Sunderland nowhere near as big as newcastle and have always been in our shadow FACT. Look at all the legends that have played and managed us. keegan, we somehow squandered a 12 point lead to losing the title to man u. bobby robson was treated so badly by shephard and hall. shearer-best premier league striker ever. david ginola, les ferdinand, andy cole I could go on. Newcastle have always been known as a big club. and did you know what Sir alex ferguson- the greatest manager that's ever lived, said about newcastle? "I feel newcastle is the one job that is an opportunity missed, if not regretted" "To go without a sniff of success for so many years and retain that passion and support is unique" Oh yeah, I won't repeat what he said about sunderland

Agree0 Disagree0

Didn't Sir alex call Newcastle a wee club from the north east or did I dream that?

Agree0 Disagree0

JTOON. Nice to see you ignored every point I made and countered with more BS!

So you are a giant because some good players were in your squad once, Keegan was so poor a manager he squandered a 12 point lead and your board treat a great man, yes even I a SAFC fan agree SRB was as great, like s***!

All SAF meant was how can fans maintain their passion when their club wins nothing meaning Managers offered the position should take it as if they succeed there is plenty of support there.

I shall allow you to go back to your deluded world where you play great football but just can't find the end product boo hoo, and the giant is still in slumber!

We need Kurt Zouma and Micah Richards/Sam Byram in January, the defence is awful

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Totally agree defence is crap. like your choice. also why does cabaye think that every ball he hits from outside the box is going to get a goal ok sometimes it works but not that often. he had plenty of chances to feed remy but takes a wild shot. benny had a crap game very disappointed with him. why can't we get motivated jtoon for the big occasion.

Agree0 Disagree0

The game was scripted for sunderland to get a result, that's the annoying thing, we played some great football but no end product, the just played like stoke and our boys (especially dummett) couldn't handle their physicality.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd also like to see someone like Ciaran Clark as well, british and got potential

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldn't hold ya breath on them signings

In my opinion Sunderland wanted it more than us again. midfield need to feed ball up front and give strikers some service. tiote gets ball and keeps playing it across the back or play backwards. that's ok sometimes but not all the time. ffs play it up and let the strikers chase the ball. remy didn't get a sniff. then he subs players on that haven't played for months and cisse couldn't hit a barn door if he was sat on the handle. dummett was crap the occasion was to big for him but in his defence first goal he was held down by. totally disappointed all I can say is its time for a change.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Magmad, yes sunderland wanted it more but did they deserve it? no. We were the ones who played football, they were the ones who played like stoke. What can pardew do when he's only williamson as a proper CB at his disposal, yes there was no end product but we got some good passing moves going.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lost the game when our tactical genius took off a pacy striker with movement and replaced him with a statue. Their ageing defence could relax and push forward. Your right about midfield, NO service for the lads up top and Ben Arfa needs to realise its a team game, umpteen times he could have released players but had to beat another man and let them regroup. Mackems wanted it more than our lot and these are massive points dropped against one of the worst sides in the premier league. I can also see us losing at places like Palace and I fear we are in for a very hard season. Another struggle.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree with your comments wouldn't mind Roberto de matteo as next manager what you think

Agree0 Disagree0

Team is carrying HBA.

you can tell that there is a definite change in philosophy, we got some good passing moves going there was just no end product. Benny had a shocker. Dummett the poor lad was up against two strong strikers and sunderland played hoofball. When it was 1-1 we should of scored, we should of punished them, we were absolutely dominating but the defence just falls to sleep at the wrong moments. remy was inconsistent, cisse was just frustrating. cabaye was ok, tiote was ok but gave away stupid fouls. *sigh it was scripted for the to win, I wouldn't be surprised if they have a new manager for the next derby just to fire their players up. Although yes, they were more hungry for the win, closed us down and we lacked that vision to split their defence open.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Reminds me when derby got relegated the only team they beat that season was us. but never mind we got beat ( I know its hard to take ). we really need an impact player to come off the bench late on in games ie: borini.

Agree0 Disagree0

Borini's goal was just a wonder strike that would 9 times out of 10 go into row z. on a different day one of the ameobi/santon shots would of gone in.

Only one team playing football today. and that was newcastle.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think a draw would have been a fair result, it was an even enough game.

Our last choice CB and a Rookie Left back playing at CB beside him was very telling, we got caught out in what was like a cup final for Sunderland.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well, we lost, so I'm not sure how you've come to that conclusion. There is more than one way to play football, and they beat us fair and square.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree harvey, on another day one of those santon/ameobi strikes would of went in. it was scripted for sunderland to get a result just like the 3-0 loss, we were the much better team in the second half, it was a bit even maybe more sunderland's way in the first, but it was only a wonder strike that got them an underserved win.

Agree0 Disagree0

They didn't beat us fair and square it was a wonder strike that would of gone into row z 9/10

olease get Guffran off put Bennie on right and Cisse back in the middle. If you keep doing the same thing over and over again and expect different results you are a fool, why are our corners the same holy huddle barging and shoving when it hasn't worked for nearly 2 years. come on you attack coaches earn your money

Believable0 Unbelievable0

27 Oct 2013 14:19:54
1-0 down, all I can say is that we've been playing some fantastic football perhaps not finding the end product, and for Sunderland, well, it's just like watching stoke. C'mon pardew get the team and really try and get back into the game early.

Line up for Sunderland
Krul
Debuchy. williamson dummet santon
Tiote Cabaye
Gouffran. Remy
Ben arfa

Believable0 Unbelievable0

They've targeted Dummett. We're playing great we just need to score early then we can take it from there

Need a result today n good performance. its one of our biggests set of fixtures since the infamous champs league exit.

Citeh or chelsea. what would you take.

Beat citeh we'd probably get gooners or chelsea away

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Its about time we beat both sunderland and citeh

Right, pardew and the players need to make up for the 3-0 loss by really battering Sunderland! As long as we go out and play like we did against Liverpool for a full 90 mins, not get distracted from the gameplan and we should win. Sunderland will no doubt be motivated but we need to go out attack from kick off and score first early. C'mon the toon!
