I have a hunch that you are not hanging around the inner circle of Mike Ashley, or any other billionaire business men. Just a guess. . . .but i think an accurate one.

All Revenue/Players/Property is owned by Mike Ashley. He owns everything. So when he is apparently paying this loan off, he is paying a loan from himself, to himself. Not great business. He will make the money back when he sells, as this will be included in the sale price. Don't believe all nonsense that you hear.

lol is that right so when he sells club it will have no debts, look at blackburn m8 when mr walker own it every penny spent was in the form of loads which mr walker gave the club which were all paid back to walker family how do you think they make money from clubs just pour mils in take nothing back until you sell the club that's how hes a billionaire business man is it ???

Believable2 Unbelievable3

When he sells, it will not have debt. Ashley has paid the debt off with his own money. When he does sell he will want everything that he has put in plus whatever he can get. The profit that owners make is in the appreciation of the assets they hold. The sale of a going concern will also hold value to future owners, in the potential earnings that a business will attract. The Blackburn comparison does not hold any truth, a different situation from a different time.

Agree4 Disagree1

I agree, no comparison with blackburn. Fat Mike is playing the long game her, and will sell when he can make a profit on the sale. If he was taking money out and putting in his back pocket he will get less in the long term.

toite WILL HE BE AT THE club this coming season ???? tell you the truth hope its not the case look at facts first, all big earners will be gone why did he not give stephen ireland hes 50k ?????

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Tiote will be at the Toon next season. We rested him so he wouldn't pick up another yellow and be suspended for two games at the start of next season. Not the action of a club letting him go. Mind you this is Newcastle. . .!

Agree5 Disagree2

He doesn't want to be suspended for his next team

Eds any news if we r still in for jeremy menez.

Also any insight of who the three players Pardew is speaking of. Thanks

Alan Pardew said today:

"We've given a player a deadline this week, so that'll be interesting, " "We think that's 60-40 in our favor."

"We are pitching for a striker that we bid for that's been reported. We're hopeful on that but we'll have to wait and see. There's no real feedback from the club on that. And we're pitching for another couple of players."

{Ed010's Note -Earlier in the week, it was reported in some newspapers that it was a fight between Newcastle and Liverpool to secure his services. I may be wide of the mark but when this story broke, the author in at least one of the papers reported that Menez had a fallout with the Roma caretaker boss and that is why he wanted a move during the transfer window. It may well be Roma, that Pardew is talking about because it is possible that they are dragging their heels, out of spite to the player.

This comes from the owner no football player at this club will earn more than 35k aweek all big earners at the club will not be giving new contracts and where possible sold he will not let players run down cotracts he is running this club like a shop hope this is s**t if not ????????? ps budget for players 15mil wheres the money going to pay debts which are owed to MR ASHLEY

Believable0 Unbelievable2

How come he gave toite a 50k contract then?

And Enrique has just been offered more than that.

Agree2 Disagree0

I would guess that a lot of the players are on more than 35k. Those that are of the right age, and have proven their worth will be offered better terms than their original contract. I agree with the philosophy, although there should be some give and take included. The Barton situation appears Ashley is playing hard ball a bit too much. He has agreed a wage cut, but wants more than 2 years.

Agree0 Disagree1

27 May 2011 18:57:33
just to but the record stright these 2 players will not sign for us kevin gamiro and zog will not pay wages which will be £50000 plus ash wants a top wage bill £30000 plus bonuses so if that's the case which big signings are coming ??? the only lads to get long contracts are the youth team players

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Tiote's on 50k

Agree2 Disagree1

Barton and Colo are both on over 60k.

Just been in me chippie in Gateshead and there was a slight commotion as who should walk in but none other than Alan Pardew with his arms around the robust frame of Jon Parkin and lithe Steve Kabba. He pushed his way to the front of the queue and informed the shocked punters:

'Got my two forwards for next year boys and guess what? I don't have to spend any of that 35 million! Result or what? The kebabs and pies are on me!

I, as I'm sure you are, wait for next season with bated breath!

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Good story

Agree3 Disagree0

What you failed to mention was as part of Ashleys new contract he give to Bruce at Scumderland, Bruce would only sign it if he could have them two players. SMB SMB

Shearer sent ya doon!

Believable4 Unbelievable4

That's nice. Well done, you've almost managed to construct a sentence. What will you be learning next week, your two times table?

Agree4 Disagree1

Two times table? That's a bit on the ambitious side don't you think?

I don't want to appear too harsh as they may have a severe mental illness. The writing style has all the classic signs of the terrible SMB mental disorder. His confidence will be low, he will be married to his sister, and will be on first name terms with the dole office. Best to leave them to it.

Mackem Syndrome is such a terrible illness, I genuinely pity him.

Lol rather be mackem tbh the whole of england is laughing at you for geordie shore programme never been more proud to be a sunderland boy get in!

article on sky sports that we are trying to strike a deal for Achille Emana a Cameroon international midfielder could this be the one Pardew was on about? your views ed?

{Ed010's Note -It is a possibility but the point I am raising is in the hope that other readers can clarify the situation with Emana. As you have stated, Achille Emana is a midfielder and is from the Cameroon and this leads me to my point/question. Portsmouth tried to sign him a few years ago but were unable to secure a work permit. Looking at Emana's international appearances, he has played in 35 matches for Cameroon since 2003 and with the "work permit" rule, which states that non-EU players, applying for the permit, must have played for his country in at least 75% of its competitive 'A' team matches for which he was available for selection during the previous two years.

Has he complied with these regulations or could this yet be a stumbling block ?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Regards Emana: What's the point? We have a 28 year old midfielder who is dedicated to the Toon cause and what's a new contract and isn't going to disappear for the ACN every other year and wouldn't cost a transfer fee.

Mario Gotze has been suggested to Newcastle ! Is this a possibilty Ed ?

{Ed010's Note -Mario Gotze is a quality player and if Newcastle can secure his services, it would be a wonderful coup. He will be 19 next week and generally players of that age are told by their club, that it is in their best interest to remain with them. I have no doubt that representatives of Borussia Dortmund will already have chatted with Gotze. However, it is still a possibility that even at this stage in his career, he could be tempted to try his luck in the EPL and if that is the case, why not with Newcastle United.

Believable2 Unbelievable4

Youre kidding

Agree2 Disagree0

Dortmund told Man Utd a while back that trying to sign Gotze would be a "waste of time" so it looks like they want to hang on to him, or at least ask crazy money for him. Bear in mind too that they just sold Sahin so they need to keep a good CAM.

Wouldn't mind Lewandowski as a striker though.

Hey Ed,
'Pardew waiting on striker move' Any ideas who it might be?

{Ed010's Note - Possibly Charles N'Zogbia ?

Believable2 Unbelievable4

Pretty sure its Gameiro considering his last game of the season is this weekend and it all lies with Valencia if they have the funds to outbid nd the player who has said he would like to move to Spain.

Agree1 Disagree2

N'zog isn't a striker

Zog off to wearside :D

personally i can't see us getting gameiro which is a shame as hes the kind of striker and quality we are lacking, however if he doesn't get a move to spain, we are very much in with a shout. i doubt we will be paying the 15mil asking price for charlie either especially as wigan don't need to sell him now. gervinho certainly won't be joining us. however i remain optimistic over the summer, i can see us going for larsson and upson (pending on wages, as ashley won't want another sol campbell scenario), ive heard rumours about darren pratley also signing for us or bolton all on frees, that should leave plenty of cash to spend on important areas of the pitch! i think sturridge is a possibility if chelsea are going to sign the strikers being claimed in the media e.g. lukaku, neymar, aguero etc) as he won't get any game time ahead of them. the media isn't doing us any favours by quoting large figures for a relatively unproven striker prior to a 6 month loan deal at bolton. if we got sturridge and gamiero to lead the line next season i think we all would be very happy geordies come start of the season.

other rumours ive heard around the club recently: diego 7mil, mbengue (confirmed initial bid of 4mil rejected), charlie adam 10mil, wijanldum 8mil

Ashley is doing all the right things at the minute it's a shame about the Barton situation but Shane Ferguson is about to sign a five year deal. Newcastle are bidding on top quality players as well as bringing in talented youngsters like Abeid who is going to be giving his chance next season. Hopefully they can get a new deals for Nolan and Enrique( I am expecting the worst for Jose but you never know in football and especially at Toon).

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Yeah bidding top quality players and getting none same old

Newcastles bid for Gameiro has neither been accepted or rejected he is desperate to go to Valencia and Lorient are respecting his wishes and will wait til the end of this week to see if they match or increase on Newcastles offer if not they will accept bid.

from what i know 4 year deal has been offered to D. Pratley of swansea (free Transfer). Gervinho sitting down with pardew this week to sell club to player. K. Gamiero has been given till end of the week to decide whether to sign or not believing it is 60/40 in our favour. N'zogbia has agreed a 5 year deal at around 60k/week and just need to agree fee with wigan. most likely won't sign all 3 but positive start to transfer proceedings.

Hey Ed, Sorry for my post about Mike Cashley that caused all that hassel lol.I heard Martinez saying he won't sell zog unless they are a much bigger club than Wigan. (top 6). Whats the likelihood he will go back on this statement and sell to the toon? {Ed002's Note - How would I know?}

Youssef El Arabi or Park Chu Long who is reported to leave monaco in the summer. All Ligue 1 strikers

Eds - do we have any interest in eren derdiyok, sevilla supposedly interested for 8 million euros {Ed002's Note - I am guessing you are just throwing up random names. I am sorry but we don't have any time to deal with such things.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

27 May 2011 00:43:29
Ed002 any yohan cabaye news? or any other French CM's/ Wingers we have shown interest in. beside the kid we just signed Mehdi Abeid and the usual links of marvin martin, tabnou, gervinho {Ed002's Note - I am getting a strange feeling of deja vu. All I know about the player is that there was a planned loan to Montpellier in 2009 that fell though and an enquiry from Arsenal a few weeks ago. I don't know anything of any interest from Liverpool, but there could be.}

definately need 2 strikers and lose 2 don't care which ones leave cos all 4 look average at best.hope barton stays quality player who is not asking for more money just a longer contract .not bothered about signing nzogbia he might ruin team spirit at the club even though hes a fantastic player .a player im surprised we havn t been linked with is bentley who also plays right midfield same as barton.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Bentley should be a no go, as he is a billy big bollox. Over paid, over hyped player. Has done nothing for about 3 seasons, couldn't get into a relegation side. Unless he's free and would take a huge wage cut, then stay clear. Certainly not a replacement for Barton, who although played on the right this season is better in the middle of the park.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree i don't want nzogbia he likes to be centre of attention, we need a keeper, right bk cover for centre bk 1 mid and 2 forwards don't for we got golsing come bk he quality and plays right side

Agree1 Disagree1

Its areet he is going to sunderland anyway apparently

Bentley suits u then
