we need two pacy wingers a right back and a centre half prioity

Believable2 Unbelievable0

We dont need pace on the wings, we have pace jonas and obertan are not slow! we need a crosser or 2, so we have service to ba and cisse and arent alway relying on cabaye or the other striker to provide the killer ball

Agree0 Disagree2

Jonas isnt that fast! obertans fast but hes s**t tbh. elia from juve. douglas or vertoghan. and a left back

Agree2 Disagree0

I wish people would give Obertan a break, yeah he may of not set the world on fire, but he has as much skill as Ben Arfa i think, and atleast he puts in a shift. People soon forget hat he was in the team for the 11 game unbeaten run we had, and I honestly didnt think he should be dropped. I think the right would look much stronger with R Taylor at RB and Obertan on RM.

Agree3 Disagree1

When i say 2 pacey wingers i meant 2 pacy wingers who can cross the ball also who find space and can hold the ballup....as an attacker Jonas is coming up short (i know he scored on Sat but he is not doing the job of a winger, he is part of the reason we are getting overrun in midfield he loses the ball or gives a sh.t pass same as Obertan

Agree0 Disagree0

Not many pacey wingers about who can beat a man and actually get a good cross in sunderland have found a gem in that kid mclellan excellant distribution

Agree1 Disagree1

We could try ferguson a bit more of the bench and Marveax (spellig) back soon

Agree1 Disagree0

I like how some fans slate our players like obertan.....but want someone like Elia to replace him......In my eyes yet another pacey/tricky winger with a questionable crossing....give me the crossing quality of a Solano or a Beckham anyday over a headless chicken wit pace

Agree1 Disagree0

Agree with the obertan comment he's nit the greatest but we have much better shape and play better with him in the team. Leave of Simpson tho he looked good with Stephen Taylor inside cafu would struggle next to Williamson
Leazes end mag

Agree3 Disagree0

I say lets take walcott from arsenal. not saying he would want to come. but if the chance came i'd take him. hes getting slated at arsenal.

Agree0 Disagree1

Walcott from arsenal?? deluded geordies, why would he want to come to a worse club for?SGBS

Agree4 Disagree1

We are all behind Simpson Obertanetc but this a banter page where we can give our opinions say how we feel we all see things differently

Agree0 Disagree0

Im a sunderland fan and think obertans got tremendous pace but his end product is naff he looks like one of those players can ye improve him or do ye move him on and in a couple of years regret it lads

Agree0 Disagree0

If you watch Obertan on Man Uniteds pre-season tour of America he has the ability so I'm not sure what's going on with him maybe its a confidence thing if so being dropped wouldn't of helped.

Agree1 Disagree1

Zaha of palace had no end product last year and all the skills but this year has developeed into a cracking young player

Agree0 Disagree0

Ive always maintained that obertan is the best player to bring on when we are winning say 2-1 or something... you can bang the ball into the space and let him run onto it.

he is not a player you can bring on when you are loosing 2-1 though - unless you have to.

Also tiote has to be playing to cover his mistakes

Agree0 Disagree0

Score tomorrow Sports Direct Utd 1 Sunderland 3!

We've been getting over run in midfield for weeks now. Im fed of Pardew coming into an interview saying "We had to change our formation to match their style of play". Whay cant we make a team match our style of play! We need more bodies in the middle and the modern game just isnt played for 2 up front. Do you think Cisse or Ba could operate either on the wing as part of a 5 man middle or as part of a 3 up front?

Believable1 Unbelievable2

4-1-2-1-2
----tiote----
cabaye-jonas
---benarfa---
Cisse--Ba

Agree0 Disagree1

Ba spent much of his time in german football playing as the left side front player in a 4-3-3

I think this would would with ba left, cisse middle and ben arfa right

then play tiote, buthrie and cabaye in the middle.

It would be good to try at least.....might make our full backs more vulnerable without cover but they seem to get caught out a lot anyway.
