as a Newcastle fan that was born in stoke and has lived here my entire life I am a very happy happy man today. despite being back at work. First of all the current run we are on is amazing and I think we will be well up for the arsenal game and think pardew has been tactically brilliant this year in changing things and trying to keep it fresh when needed. the xmas period really tests that and seeing benny back was great. however i'm not sure playing him against arsenal is ideal. at least not from the off. back to filling the midfield for me. tiote cabaye anita sissoko and goufran for me. with remy up top. I would however bring in haidara at left back. really like the look of the lad. santon needs a break. then instead of bringing benny on for sissoko on the right. bring him on for one of the anita, cabaye or tiote and let him play behind remy. I do see the argument to have in playing from the right as his performances out there cutting in tend to be his better ones however I think given a free role against the arsenal back line would make him very hard to pick up.

Only down side it saves Ashley spending any of the millions he is hoarding and we will see exactly what Joke Inear has been doing Striker imperative as is another Quality CB

Transfer window will probably be predictable but I think the arsenal game will have an impact on that. if we beat arsenal it can go one of 2 ways. either Ashley will stick with what we have cus he sees it as good enough or he will see there is a chance of something really specially (4th maybe, but I don't see us managing it with the others still doing ok above us) and invest. one thing I do know will have to happen is players will need to leave. hopefully not those around the first team but we now have some players who won't even make the bench and are more than capable of breaking into other teams. I can't see Jonas staying on at this point in his career he will want football, s tayloer as much as we might say we want him will prob have a few bids in from some teams. I actually think stoke would be a great move for the lad or westham. obertan to lower league. remy perm deal would be great but either way a striker is still a must I can't see cisse rediscovering form it just doesn't look likely. Chelsea are going to have a lot of strikers cus no doubt jose will be wanting a striker. there are some players there I would love to see come in. it won't happen but I think torres just on work rate alone would be great. less expectation and the chance to just play. and if we could get him on loan maybe?? well that would be a dream

I agree with santon being dropped nik, and would like either haidara or Mbiwa to replace him. I think haidara is one of our most promising young players. He looks pacey, solid and decent at crossing. And I agree with the 5 Man midfield of Tiote Cabaye Anita Sissoko Gouffran, get in their faces and attack arsenal, they won't know what's hit them!
