You lot need to face reality. Ashley has pumped 130 million of his own hard earned pounds into your club to keep it alive, and you all just hate him. You absolutely despise him. You blame him for every failure and every defeat. So what's he going to do? Invest as little as possible, take out as much as possible until he's got his money back, then sell to anyone, absolutely anyone who will take you off his hands. He will not give two hoots if they are 'right and proper' just as long as they have cash. And frankly, what would anyone else do in his situation?

You hate him because he won't put even more money into your club to meet your totally misguided aspirations to be some kind of footballing powerhouse. Face the facts, your not, you never were, and your not going to be.

A lot of this mess is because Ashley is clueless about football. A lot is because his predecesors were far too flash with the cash. A lot is because of your own unreasonable and unattainable expectations that you want this Reading barrow boy to bankroll. You should all take a long hard look at yourselves.

Let me tell you, I'm predicting you're a mackem by the way you're saying we were never powerhouses and never will be which is BS. First of all, Newcastle United has always been one of the biggest clubs in the land, it has been known to have the most loyal and passionate fanbase. Even Di Canio knows it, Fergie knows it. In the words of Fergie "Newcastle is a great club and deserve more success than they have"
Ashley keeps us in a solid financial position, hardly pumps anything into transfers, which shows he couldn't care less about us. How would you like to have a billionaire owner who shows no ambition won't give any money to get new signings in to make the team better? It's painful. Why couldn't Ashley care less about are club? Well for starters if he loved the club he wouldn't of hired Jokinnear. His record spend on a player is about 10m.

Face it, Ashley is happy enough for Newcastle to just stay in the prem, but what he doesn't realise is that other teams around us are getting stronger, because they're owners are showing ambition. And that he thinks we can just survive every premier league season with the same squad and only needs max 2 senior signings.

Newcastle is a massive club, has always been known as a club who should be challenging the top 8. We've had so many legends here. We will only reach those heights of finishing top 4, fighting for the title until we have a new owner who will love the club, is prepared to spend 50million each summer to strengthen the squad and determined to make us a great club again.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm a mackem, it was obviously a mackem who wrote this, but why may I ask?. What's the point, its Newcastles business not ours, banter is fine but your getting a bit deep writing that.

If we had Ashley taking the pi$$ like that we would be the same. Newcastle fans deluded as most are don't deserve to be treated like they have been.

If Ashley doesn't want to spend so what that's not the main problem, its pardew, kinnear etc Ashley is purposly trying to anger and pi$$ off Newcastle fans, he couldn't give a monkeys and that's the problem. He's amateur and childish and pathetic. He's a bell end to be frank.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hold on your say Ashley put 130 million in club but how much has he took out I think it will be a lot more than 130 million tv money sponsorship money players being sold plus nearly 52000 every home game how many clubs would get this if they had what's going on at Newcastle answer none

Agree0 Disagree0

Ashley has not taken a penny out if the club to date. He's trying to get the club to live within it's own means. That seems to mean a few years of just about retaining prem status.

Agree0 Disagree0

Get your facts right mate, the accounts clearly show he took out £11m from the club at the last set of accounts.

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic get 60k every home game their merchandising must be in the top 6 in the world they got 20mill from champions league nearly 20 mill from sale of hooper and wynayama and can't afford to pay out 3 or 4 mill for new players and they don't pay out wages like clubs in epl. so obviously there is not as much money to some clubs as their fans would like to think some of the big money earners at the club will have to leave if Newcastle are to sign some of the players mentioned on here

Ive looked at the Arsenal midfield and I can't see how Cabaye would get into their starting X1 that's prob why Venger hasn't upped his bid 20m for a man on the bench is a lot

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Why would Wenger pay £20m when he paid £15m for Cazorla, who is better than Cabaye. expect another low bid from Arsenal on deadline day followed by a transfer request.

Out of the managers that don't have a club and have managed in the last 3 seasons who would you choose to manage Newcastle United for me it has to be Marcelo Bielsa (El Loco)? (Tito Vilanova is not available due to his health concerns)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Chris hughton

Mark my words,
I said over a month or more ago
Cabaye to be sold,
No players in
And Ashley keeping money

Now just

I wish I had put a tenner on it tho

Agree0 Disagree0

Frank Rijkaard and Marcelo bielsa as back up.

Agree0 Disagree0

When will you lot realise that kinnear is there to take over from pardew when he is sacked or walks, lambias will come back and take over kinnears position as director! only the newcastle fans that are not deluded know this deep in their hearts

Remember when big names wanted to come to Newcastle?

Now players chose Everton, Swansea and other teams we used to be bigger than.

Since Ashley came, we have slowly become a bottom league club, no ambition.

We will sign borderline championship players that will get us mid table, even Joe Kinnear said he wants us mid table.

to me, that just not good enough for a club that has a billionaire owner.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

That just not good enough for a club that has a billionaire owner.

It is not because we have a rich owner that we should be better than we are. We have one of the best supported clubs in the land and that support is constant regardless - it should be repaid with a team to match

Agree0 Disagree0

Why Trashley can do what he wants he has no alegience to Newcastle or its fans. Fact is he should not be anywhere football Full Stop.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont know about the "used to be bigger than Everton" comment mate, check your history

Degs

Agree0 Disagree0

Degs, even though Everton were more successful I think Newcastle had the slightly better fanbase. Newcastle is great, fantastic club and we won't be back to those days until Ashley, pardew and kinnear get out

Agree0 Disagree0

Newcastle are not bigger than EVERTON, they've NEVER been bigger than EVERTON & they'll NEVER be bigger than EVERTON!
Tipicle DELUDED geordie!
Mr Blue Sky

Agree0 Disagree0

Bit harsh that Blue Sky, personally I love Geordies myself and if you read their posts you will see they are defo not deluded mate.

Degs

Agree0 Disagree0

Ashley dropped the ball big time when he did not sign any players in the summer after we finished 5th.

One of perks of finishing high up the table is that you can attract players, and get them for a reasonable fee. Apparently Sammy Ameobi & Shane Ferguson were going to keep up fighting at the top of the table, what a complete disaster, rocks for brains.

I have this horrible feeling that nobody else will sign for us, and on deadline day in the final few hours, Cabaye and Krul will be off and we are in such sh*t, Pardew will get sacked and Kinnear will take charge and make no difference what so ever

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Newcastle are willing to sell Cabaye IF the money is right.

WHAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE IF THE MONEY IS RIGHT OR NOT?

We know that the money will never be reinvested into the team. And what are the chances of getting anyone as good as Cabaye in?.

Looking at it, I can't see why people would want to come to the club.
We have no aims. Except to make a profit! (staying in the league comes second to making money)
Why would a good player leave the team they are at for a team that battles to stay in the league
The team its self doesn't seem to have a clue what is going on themselves, never mind the fans.
AND
With JFK there no one will want to come when they are approached by this muppet! and he bad attuide (know it all, and thinks he's the Top Boy in the league!)

I honestly don;t know what's the worst thing to happen to our club this year, and the seaosn has only started.

I do applogise for my lack of optisim as normally I am the one saying the team will do well, and prove us all wrong again. I just can not see it happening.
Im planning my weekend away down Blackpool for next season already, I have that much faith these days!

{Ed003's Note - blackpool might go up,don't book just yet.}

Theres a pic of him holding the shirt on twitter with some lads. no1 says they are signing him. made yourself look stupid there like

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha. They're still blinded by the "di canio revolution" circus

Agree0 Disagree0

Well, we both have our fair share of children
Yours for example
Mata, Oscar, Erikson, Rooney, Menez, Eto'o, Willian, Lewandowski and Neymar!

Have I missed anyone

Look at the money spent by Southampton, Cardiff, Norwich, Swansea. and look at the players they have bought.
It puts our so called "big club" to shame.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

BUT has the penny not dropped yet for a lot of fans Newcastle is not a big club anymore and we are behind the clubs mentioned. We are a shambles a disgrace and no hopers.

Agree0 Disagree0

Those clubs are playing catch up in the player /wages stakes. We can realistically only spend £4m this season on wages and stay within FFP AND PL regulations I believe. Next season those teams won't be spending so big either,

We need to get replacements for Cabeye in now even if he doesn't leave. As is going to take a long time to get him playing again.
Plus the lack of creativity in the midfield is the main issue with the team at the moment.
Need a left winger and 2 creative CMs, are plenty good players out there that we can afford and may want to come to us. Ayew, Allessandrini, Ince, Hughes, Traore just to mention afew.
We just don't have the ambition to go out and get them. Everyone is improving their squads apart from us (and arsenal).
We should go for all Chelsea's squad players. Every player on Chelsea's bench against Man U would get in our first team, and then Moses wasn't even on the bench. Lukaku looks af if he is behind Shurrle, Torres, Ba and Mourinho still wants Rooney. Even if we could get him on loan it would help keep us in the BPL for another year.

surely Ashley and Kinnear can't be so stupid as to think what we have got is enough? they've got to bring new players in.

Hi Geordies, Everton fan in peace.

Our manager has stated no bid for McCarthy so he may be coming your way, if Martinez has stated we have not bid then that's the truth as he doesn't bull sh*t.

Good luck for the season guys, top club with great fans, especially those gorgeous geordie lasses

Degs

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Barkley looks good for everton, he will be a very good player for you

Cardiff in for Alfred Finnbogasson. £4m. it's a snip for a Shola replacement.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

4 million is a bit much just for a Shola replacement.

Shola has never been good enough for Newcastle, he needed replaced 11 years ago.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is a fantastic player, one we really should be in for, his goal tally is something like 30 in 36 I believe.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Celtic have been on his trail for a while. It seems that deal could hinge on their CL qualification.}

If Alderwield is that good and available for approx 8mil why hasn't anyone signed him yet?

Have never seen him play, but all the hype over him sounds good but look at Anita from the Dutch league. he has really struggled since we got him. Although Vertongan came from Ajax as well and he looks good for Spurs.

The dutch league looks like it has a lot of good players but just don't know if they can hack the premier league.

Watched Ath. Madrid win 5-0 the other day and Turan Scored one and set up 2. Looks a very good player but if he's first team at a CL team is no chance he would come to us.

I'm getting worried window is nearly shut and apart from made up paper stories etc there's no solid info on anyone coming in. If we sell cabaye and don't bring anyone in our midfield will be soo lacking in a playmaker and the forwards will hardly get the ball. Getting the pray matt out I think.
