I would love to see xisco given a chance but apparently he has a clause in his contract meaning if he plays again we have to pay 2 mill, is he worth that? I dont think so

Believable2 Unbelievable0

If that is the case, then he will never play for the Toon again, but hopefully it is BS. The lad deserves a second chance, I mean look at Ranger and Barton and they both did time!

King Colo is the best defender I have seen play for Newcastle in 20 years. Ok we had Woodgate, but he was injured so much it was not worth it at all. Coloccini on the other hand is world class, I just hope that someone like Manc dont bid say 10 15 mi in Jan which they can afford to do even at his age. I would be deverstated if he left for another prem team. As I have said, in the 20 years of watching the mighty Toon, he is miles ahead of any centre half he have had.... and before anyone says Steve Howey, please, have a word with yourself and he was the same as woodgate, class yes, but injured all of the time. Also, Albert was not really a defender, but a midfielder or striker at international level.

He is world class. I ve said this many times before wouldn't swap him for any centre back in the premiership.

Were do you rate s.taylor. Second best cb in squad. Bleeds black and white. Should be in england team?

Now terrys gone i think saylor should be given a chance... lescott? cahill? jagielka? i would rather have saylor than these players plus i think hes younger (apart from cahill) so a longer term option

Agree1 Disagree0

I hate lescott as a footballer, has no skill on the ball just tackles, heads and hoofs down field.i like cahill and jagielka, but after that it should realy be taylor. Youve seen how hard he works for his home club, imagine how good hed be for his country

Agree0 Disagree1

Agree with above , saylor needs to have a good injury free run , hit some form , and see no reaso why not given a chance .

Colo for me is as good as any ch half , in my time following the lads , I am 49 ! Can remember back to early 70s , his first season , we went down . I spent whole summer telling people he needs to settle before you judge , was in a team with no direction constant changes of managers , what a player he turned out . All time great IMO .

Agree2 Disagree0

As above, Stevie Taylor is class and can be one of the best English centre halves in the country... nay the world, but he needs to get a good run in the team without injury otherwise he will be another Ledley King, qulaity when he plays, but never plays. I hope wor stevie can stay fit and help us up the table.

Yeah and Shearer dropped him for David Edgar. I think we had a lucky escape not having that ego maniac as permanent manager
