Really think we should have bought Remy in the summer
a couple of clubs will be showing an interest in him at the end of the season, if they belong to top 6 then we could miss out. We need to buy another striker in Jan and have a couple more lined up in summer

We still don't know whether he's got through his court case

Agree0 Disagree0

We still should have taken the chance

If we did and he turned out to be guilty, that would majorly put off ashley on transfers.

In the january transfer window, I think we need three players, a centre back, winger and striker.

Here are some options for each position, you choose who'd you prefer and keep it within a budget of 10-16m

Centre back:
Kurt Zouma (6-8m)
Winston Reid (4-8m)
Cheikhou Kouyate (3-7m)
Ciaran Clark (3-8m)
Curtis Davies (3-7m)

Winger:
Tom Ince (4-6m)
Wilfred Zaha (LOAN)

Striker:
Shane Long (4-8m)
Bafetimbi Gomis (2-4m)
Brown Ideye (4-8m)
Luuk De Jong (LOAN)
Alfred Finnbogason (3-6m)

Jtoon,

some good names on the list. I would really like to see shane long come in but iv said this for a couple of seasons now. hard working and can score but Remy has to stay. winger/midfielder I wouldn't mind lallana but I have a feeling he will be pretty pricey now. not a fan of zaha think would have the same problem as ben arfa. not sure he has the work effic yet but an out and out winger i'm not sure is needed anyway. if I had to choose I would go for ince. and in defence well there are lots I can think of. quite a fan of zouma I have to say but assuming pards is keen to brink in English players I would imagine he will be looking at young prospects on the cheap as cover to try to bring through.

Hey folks

I thought i'd pop on to see what people were saying about the performance against Norwich. have to say I thought at time specially first half the passing and movement looked spot on. I also wanted to pop on to see how many plaudits ameobi was getting for his perfromances the last few games and was bit disappointed not to see any. We all know he isn't the best in the world but he finally looks like he is adapting. he has someone with pace to run off him and is at last using his size (he just seems to get bigger and stronger lately) to hold up the play and to be fair he is doing a very good job of it. He is starting to win the ball hold it up and play it simple. we don't want him trying tricks and flicks. just win the ball shield it and play it easy. Hope he keeps it going because I think it gives us a real balance. a good target man he can actually do the job right. and if he can pop a few in too then all good. we know he can hit a ball its just getting it out of his feet he struggles with.

anyway that's enough about shola. another big game coming up and well I could list about 6 lineups I wouldn't mind seeing. I would say

krul
debuchy willo colo santon

anita tiote cabaye goufran
ameobi remy

but not so rigid 442 cus would like to see goufran playing up the pitch a lot. anita I would have purely because I still think debuchy gets stuck up field to much and anita is happy to drop to rb.
however I find it hard to find a reason for sissoko not to play and ben arfa. so cus we are at home i'd maybe like to see 4 2 3 1.

krul
debuchy willo colo santon
tiote cabaye
sissoko ameobi/benarfa goufran
remy

quite like the thought of ben arfa in the middle.

least it gives you folks something to read. I was bored, does it show

Nice to hear from you nick. Yes it has been quite quiet on this site!
As for shola, he had a fantastic game and he seems to be making a great partnership with remy, ameobi being the target man and remy being the complete striker. As for the wba game, I wouldn't change it too much, simple 4-4-2, keep a the same team from spurs and chelsea, and smash em' but west brom is a very difficult game and i'm only expecting a narrow win.

we are playing very fluid football with the 4-4-2, and everyone seems to know their jobs, they seem to actually be able to retain consistency, defend and attack as a unit, get back quickly and counter attack quickly. But yes I would like to see benny brought back into the team, and played in the hole behind remy, but still keeping the shape of the 4-4-2/4-4-1-1. But Everyone is playing very well and shouldn't really be rotated. Only change i'd make is to bring debuchy back for colo who didn't really look the part against norwich, and debuchy has been fantastic for us this season.

Krul
Debuchy M'Biwa Willo Santon
Cabaye Tiote
Sissoko Gouffran
Ameobi Remy

I thought West Brom dealt very well with Benteke last night and were undone with the introduction of Agbonlahor. Wonder if this is the sort of game for Benny to start in.
We need to be strong in defence, Long was very good first half and ex Mackem should have had a hat trick
