Now that Simpson has turned down new contract let him go in the Summer give Tavernier a chance next season and sign a player for cover.
Surely Ben Arfa has to start against Sunderland yes he made some mistakes but he was our only attacking threat when he came on and the only player that was putting in any effort.

Santon needs to play RB
Agreed - Santon to RB. We need a LB and a top class CB as priority in summer. And then replace whoever leaves and that include squad players.
I think Santon would be a quality winger, looks better going forward then defending, but Raylor in to LB and see if that works, because Santon is so much quicker and takes players on.
Santon is and has always been a left back, played there for inter milan and italy u21
Would love to see nathaniel clyne and james tavernier battle it out for the starting right-back position next season.
simpson seems to think he has made it because he's in the team each week, not realising that there's no one else really pushing him for that slot, with santon at LB and Raylor used on the right of midfield.
should be able to 3-4m for him off the likes of villa/qpr etc.

Santon is actually a RB, but played as LB for Inter as was out injured alot so when ever he was in the team was used as cover and never had a great run.
