Seen a program profiling him about a year ago. Came over really impressively, given his involvment in the high level of the coaching he is doing, for someone thought of as young for the profession.

I think fresh new approaches to coaching and training is exactly what these players need, and this has all the signs of a positive appointment to me.

{Ed001's Note - Valencia never wanted him to leave, he just wanted to return to the UK, he is very highly rated there. I would say his appointment was a huge step in the right direction.}

So Ray Wilkins, an experienced and successful coach, has joined Aston Villa's backroom team. Should we not have been interested in him? Maybe we were and like everyone else in football he does not want to come anywhere near our joke of a club?
