I think that Guarado(spelling) is a great shout Deportivo just got relegated so might be available also they have enquired about taking Xisco back on loan so how about Xisco and a few million would make sense bring in a player that will make the team better and get rid of a high earner .

Tiote was a great find, but we are seriously gambling by purchasing untried and tested foreign players on the cheap. Getting rid of most of our experienced players may seriously back fire on us. I hope I'm wrong.

You've hit the nail on the head mate we should still be trying to sign proven and quality signings as well as trying to find some gems.

The theroy is lads to fat mike as the new rules are to be inforced hes buying players whos valuation will rise in years to come to possibly price some clubs out of buying them as they will only be able to spend what the club has made in revenue.

I've got to say, if its Graham Carr that finds them I've got no worries at all. Its not like we're just picking a player off the back of one game.

We've been scouting across europe all season. GC has signed some quality players so far and I have faith he'll get it right again this season.

I can't see newcastle signing N'Zog now to be honest. However I can see him playing somewhere like fulham though. Toon really shouldn't be buying back a player they sold for 7 mil only a few seasons ago for more money, daft to be honest. . we should be in for Adam Johnson on loan with view to perm move. . Also, Jo from Manc could be good, and his wages would not be that much either. .

Agree with you on zog. Dont think he is as good as he thinks he is and should never go back on yourself with players! He was just the best of a bad bunch for wigan! But got to say that jo from city not a good one mate. Didnt really set the world alight on loan at everton and seems lazy plus his wages are over 100k which is way too much that why everton backed off a permanent deal!

N'zog doesn't want to go to a worse team than Wigan, a move back to newcastle will just be a massive step backwards. he should sign for the top dogs as they have ambition and are not going to sell all our best players.

Sunderland and ambition should not be used together 3 years in the premiership and you's are happy to be 1 point above two promoted teams if you had ambition you'd wouldn't have sold one of the best strikers in the Premiership and don't come back at me with "we had so many injuries" because an ambitous club would be building up a good squad.

Sturridge is on 50k at chelsea. Check it out online at chelsea.com. Bolton were payin half last season and it states they paid 25k so work out the numbers!

Neil Taylor to be confirmed as a Newcastle player in the coming days, he went back to Wales following talks to inform Swansea of his intentions to join Newcastle. Also expect Matuidi, erding and another cheap striker to join in the next 2-3 weeks. As for other deals if Enrique leaves a new senior left back will be signed it is unknown who however it has been reported that Stephen Warnock is a target. As for N'zogbia he could sign yet, he's told Wigan and his representatives that he really wants to return to Newcastle however Wigan see Newcastle as competition for league places next season and don't want to do business with them. Whelan would be happier seeing him sign for Liverpool or Everton. We'll just have to wait and see.

If were challenging wigan for league places next season i would be seriously worried :s

Sick of people saying Joey Barton is going to leave? Any chance if someone else says it you'll have a coronary or something? Cos I'll say it now. Joey Barton will be gone before september. You really think it matters if he wants to stay or not? Ashley gets a price he likes. .then he's gone. To be honest we don't need him anymore. He's had one good season, and even that was patchy. Why does everyone want N'zogbia back? Okay he shone is a very average wigan side. He is very moody and disruptive. We should be focusing our attention on a goal scorer who can guarantee 20+ goals a season and a pacey right sided winger.

Newcastle will look to swoop for Sturridge swiftly to nullify a bidding war. It's thought a season long loan costing 2mil is preferred by Chelsea with a future fee of around 10-12mil. However a fee of 16mil would be enough to get him permanently.
Then Pardew will bide his time on a second striker as a lot of players availabilties will be dependant on other players arrivals at their clubs and could wind up being cheaper options than the 10mil figures being thrown about for some of our current targets e.g defoe, crouch, berbatov, anelka, chamakh, k. Jones, Santa cruz (domestically)
Emily Heskey has been lined up as the new Kuqi! Although he and the club will both make a late decision on whether he joins- he won't be the first choice for many top flight clubs afterall but is linked with Fulham, Stoke, Blackburn too.
Carlton Cole is another 'plan b' but I'd again linked with all the 8th-16th ranked clubs.

Heard that cole could be used in some sort of deal but his reluctant to leave london
