Is Joeking back from his holidays, has anyone heard anything from him, as far as I can recall he has been on our books for 5- 6 weeks and all he has done is to mouth off twice go on holiday and fail to get his best mate to work with him,, and he is Director of Football, bring back Wacky Jacky (tyne tees television late 50s early 60s)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It's good we have not heard anything from him. He should stay in the background.

Only a week ago everyone was saying he needs to keep his mouth shut and just do his job. But now you want to hear from him?

You can't have it both ways.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the OP was saying it doesn't seem that JFK is doing anything including his job!

if arsenal sign suarez I think we should sign giroud he played 47 games scored 17 and has 11 assists a bid of 8m will be enough

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Why would he leave Arsenal. They are building a squad to push for honors. It only us who like to have a paper thin squad.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol where do people get these daft ideas from?r u the lad that said u should bid for Rooney and Torres?Lol funny keep em cumming

Agree0 Disagree0

Shola just scored two in two and that's playing for us, i could score goals playing for arsenal at the moment,

Agree0 Disagree0

No,, I did the Torres and Rooney ha ha, but what about zogbia back from villa?? Plays on left, can score too, age 27" won't cost to much and French, ticks all the boxes,

Agree0 Disagree0

Apart from the "is he any good?" box.

Dare I say it, I would rather keep hold of Shola and only get Gomis and a winger in than sign Bent, don't want an overpaid past his best journey man coming in on sky high wages for a couple of seasons to top up his retirement fund, in all honesty though I can't see us signing anyone, our signings were all done and dusted in January, let's face it our team as it is, is good enough to keep us in the premier league, probably somewhere just below mid table and that's all MA is ultimately interested in, honestly believe this time next year we will be seeing the back of mr ashley, think about it, all he's really been waiting for is his initial outlay back and taking into account the record £60m TV money for this season, lack of re-investment in transfer windows, lower wage bill, increase in revenue etc he's almost got that back. Stay in the league this year and he'll be off I reckon. Pd

The Lyon Chairman and owner Jean-Michel Aulas has today said that the French club have received three offers for their French International striker Bafetimbi Gomis.

No shock non of them are from us. So is this another striker we have no interest after he has gone. Pardew is going to struggle to put a positive spin on this.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yeah we have made a bid us spurs and a third unnamed team on tv transfer updates

Agree0 Disagree0

Not according to the Lyon chairman. 3 clubs have non of which are us.

Agree0 Disagree0

And if you had read what was really said by Lyons manager is there was interest from 3 clubs then later reports out of France had said spurs and Newcastle have made bids along with someone else

Agree0 Disagree0

You need to show the link to the Lyon manager saying this as I can't find anything about what your saying. You just making it up? I hope not.

Agree0 Disagree0

See told you we had made a bid now we have made an improved offer but hi that was us that had not made a bid at all

Odds on Remy to join Newcastle slashed as rumour has it that a fee has been agreed, but West Ham have also joined the race.

Anyone have any idea how much Omar Abdulrahman would cost?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Don't know how much he would be but is no chance we could get him.

Man City, Barca, Arsenal, Malaga + other are all roumered to be in for him.

So cisse says he will ware the shirt with wonga on it. just days after being spotted in a casino. 2 faced he has made himself look like a right mug. But let's move on and get these signings over the line ( a bit of sarcasm there)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Hit the nail on the head. The picture gambling in the casino obviously has had a lot of sway. Stand by for a transfer request? Surely that is what it was all about?

Agree0 Disagree0

Just remember that Cisse's argument was with Wonga, not Newcastle football club.

He loves playing for Newcastle.

Do not take it personally.

Agree0 Disagree0

How is he two faced?, how do you know what compromise has been made. There may of been a donation by Wonga to his charity for all we know.

Agree0 Disagree0

Even if Wonga have made a donation which I highly doubt he will now wear the shirt which was previously against his religion. So what has changed? Has he had special dispensation from Allah himself? No he had been caught out gambling which is defiantly against his religion and backed down. Loves the club, then why drag it through the gutter with this stunt?

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said

Agree0 Disagree0

Caught out in a casino, don't make me laugh. Anyone who lives in Newcastle knows he frequents casinos he's never hidden it. It's just a stick to beat him with.

Agree0 Disagree0

A stick to beat him with? What is wrong with you? He said he ain't wearing the shirt on religious grounds because he is a devote muslim and it offends his religion but is gambling in the casinos. He has brought this so called stick beating on himself with his double standards.

Agree0 Disagree0

Muslim faith dictates you cannot break a contract with someone I believe. If so this may of been made clear to him by Muslim leaders at the sit down with him them and the club. If this is the case then whom ever sponsors NUFC is out of his hands and no conflict can occur. By the way there is nothing 'wrong with me ' thank you, I just try to look at things in a non personalised way. There are far to many folk/fans ready to jump on Cisse back. To be frank I don't care who he dates, where he goes or how much he gambles so long as he scores for the Toon. This should be your main concern as well instead of looking to slag the guy off at any opportunity. By the way club sources have said there was no financial incentives for Cisse in any of this matter re-Wonga. Get behind him and the team we need unity at the moment.

Agree0 Disagree0

I certainly have no personal issues with Cisse. I couldn't care less what he does with his money or who he dates. But when I do start to care is when he drags the good name of NUFC into the press on religious grounds to quickly retract that after being pictured in the casino. So after all this merry go round why did he really do it because it certainly wasn't on religious ground was it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Another player in the team with issues.
It gets better everyday.
No press releases, another week goes by. Hope all these new signings you are making, have time to gel.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think Toon need any help dragging the clubs good name through the dirt. Our DOF and often our owner can do that plenty. I certainly don't think Cisse has and I'm sure SD and Wonga have gotten plenty of good publicity out of all this. It's not really been an embarrassment anyway just a contractual issue as far as I can see. The only embarrassment is for Wonga.

With papiss now agreeing to wear the new shirt, it looks like we need only 2 strikers. IMO the most realistic targets and the 2 I would sign would be Remy and Bent. Remy can play on the wing or up top and Bent could be another option to cisse.

Would you be happy if Roberto Di Matteo became manager of Newcastle if Pardew is sacked/Steps down?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

ED do you think he would be good? {Ed013's Note - I think he would be a very good choice}

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think it matters who the manager is as long as Joe calls the transfer shots to be honest.

what goes around comes around, nice to see qpr almost get hooper then signs for norwich, bit like remy hey. I think oberton did well in eufa cup last year, player of match on few occasions, don't rule him out of toon yet, I still think he will come good.

I know pardew won't be sacked but if he is would fans like Marco bielsa?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think most fans of any football club in the world would be very happy to have Biesla. {Ed001's Note - Bielsa is my favourite current manager, he worked wonders with Chile. I would love to see him manage in the Prem, he is a genius.}

Agree0 Disagree0

What are your thoughts on Di Matteo?

Agree0 Disagree0

Well all know who's lined up. kinnear will be the next manager. only after pardew pays Ashley the money he owes him that is {Ed001's Note - it is Llambias he owes money too.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Joe Kinnear won't become manager he will stay DoF he is old and health getting worse. It will be a manager who is out of work

Agree0 Disagree0

Ash is a big fan of darren ferguson and nigel clough, both great coaches who can work without a budget

Agree0 Disagree0

More chance of their dads joining than those two.

well with hooper going to qpr looks like remy will be going to Newcastle with a bit of luck

Believable0 Unbelievable0

How did you work that one out. is wages are far to high he won't be coming neither will bent

Agree0 Disagree0

Try Norwich

Agree0 Disagree0

Yh remy, gomis and bent I reckon will all come.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fulham won't pay bents wages will u?if u can't pay bent Remy will be on a lot more so uve got no chance of both unless u give em what they getting now and u can't afford it so good luck with that

Agree0 Disagree0

Turn ya telly on. he's signed for Norwich and u can't afford bent or remys wages

Agree0 Disagree0

For £5m and cheap wages we should be in for him.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's not a case of can't afford the wages but more would you pay £80k a week for a 29 year old possible has been player?. Remy is a risk with the impending charge in September and the Gomis saga is beset by the usual club /player /agent greed issues.

i understand that ashley has had a offer for the club in the last week and this is the reason for the hold up with transfers in and out

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Doubt it, it would just be a false leaked rumour so the board could say it not happen but that time it was too late to sign anyone.

Agree0 Disagree0

Same old ploy During transfer windows say had an offer or its 4 sale then when it shuts no offers have been made etc etc bla bla bla

My brothers school friend mums auntie who lives in Liverpool saw an unopened letter outside anfield. Now she didn't read it but believes it was from Ashley offering 40,000, 002 for Suarez bidding higher than arsenal and scuppering the deal now this source is reliable.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

25 Jul 2013 00:59:12
Could be a good thing that we are not rushing out and buying average players. Gomis, Bent and Remy won't be available for long. So if we don't get any of them hopefully well will have to spent some cash on a better player as can not start the season with what we have.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I wouldn't bet on it. Ashley doesn't care. He'd just see us struggle until January then press the panic button depending on where we are in the league.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jul 2013 00:41:55
I feel sorry for pardew. In all his failures last season I think that Ashley's plot to force him out by making his position untenable is just cruel. The man is looking worse every time I see him. If it was a choice between new owners or new manager I would choose a new owner instantly.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I really don't think this is a plot to get rid of pardew, I think ashley is willing to give pardew the second chance. If it is a plot then that's just totally ridiculous and unprofessional.
