right folks predictions for the score tonight. i'm going go with a 2-1 win for us. going a goal behind just before half time. (trying to be specific lol) anyone that has seen my previous predictions will know this has no chance of happening now but still lol. I also see a red card at some point but not sure for which side (mystic nik).

26 mins. and so far prediction looks good. now i just hope the rest comes good.

Sometimes i scare myself. pretty accurate i think.

Injury time sucker punch again!

Good to see some character and fight in the team at last.
It would be nice to see us kick the season on now and see some performances. When the players give 110% it makes you realise that you really don't care who owns or manages the club. all us Geordies want to see is 11 players giving it everything!

Good result great for confidence and Rivière bring on Ceitey
We all care who owns the club because it should be someone who cares about NUFC and the marvellous fans

Win keeps Pardew away from the rope
& Billy Bulls. t tomorrow
Nevertheless a good win for everybody

Well said desree mate.

Really don't like the 4-2-3-----1, we always play our best football with a 4-3-3/4-1-4-1

Them formations only work well when your playing well, which we aren't.

It showed against hull that 4-4-2 is the only way we will score goals.

2 strikers in the box playing in a partnership creating space for each other.

Vida somtimes I wish I could get rid of the wife and other days I think I am the luckiest bloke alive. Its a bit like being a newcastle fan. so enjoy the good times when they come and by all means bitch and moan when we lose!

agree that 4 4 2 is the way to go. Van Gaal looks a plum in the PL. Why? because the league is all about passion and intent to win the game. Technique has its place but desire, passion and commitment are what wins games. Formations and tactics as we are seeing at Man utd are pointless if you don't have the right players. Riviere needs more support and I'd like to see us go 4 4 2 or a 4 3 3 with cisse, riviere and cabella upfont and tiote, sissoko and collback behind them.

Vida john hall cared about himself, ffs cared about himself, stan seymour cared about himself, gordon mckeag cared about himself. So nothing has changed in my lifetime of being a toon fan. We have won nowt and always sold our best players to spurs and liverpool and man u on one occassion.

Not meaning to burst a bubble but maybe we are just meant to suffer? I remember games against chelsea and man city in the second division. If we were to be given a saviour it would have happened by now. We are destined to be rubbish and are hunted by 3 seasons where we finished in the top 3. We are on par with Leeds, blackburn and notts forrest. We are in a better place. I don't like the way ashley runs the club, i'd love for a abromovic to own us. But on the flip side I'd hate some mental italian or an indian bernard matthews to be ruining the club.

Desree you say everything but say nothing at all peoples opinions who also remember past times make sense.
Your wife that is your kettle of fish but HALL Mckeag and a few others are long gone.

Today is today and when teams like Swansea Southhampton and quite a few more can pick themselves up by the b. s and build a competent team who will compete and give everything along with a manger who is capable of moulding the team and ensuring they can compete and is not a nodding dog they are forward thinking with out Billionaire owners.

Our bleating hoping and wishing is all Newcastle fans have and that in itself is an absolute disgrace.

By all means keep the faith but I like many want convincing that the people involved with this club care and will invest to make it a great club again and not just buy quantity rather that quality whilst taking millions ot of the club as happened in the days of the people you mentioned and is happening right now.

I can't get excited about Newcastle United anymore unless I see a good performance and people who want to actually play for the club but 90% of that is down to Asley and his lap dog Pardew.

That is not spoling anyones dream it is the reality of the present situation.

Vida you have just made an argument of agreeing with everything I said!

Just for the record Southamptons owner is a billionaire. I'd also add that a few seasons ago every team was looking at newcastle as the way to go.

I agree that southampton are going great, but their academy has produced great players for a long time.

It was encouraging to see armstrong play well, hopefully our academy boys get a chance to shine too. Maybes we might then become a top 8 team or even a cup run?

English Billionaire!
No Newcastle were never the yardstick
only in the sense they don't spend money and balance the books
We are BOTTOM if the league man
so it does not work
Plenty of good young players
coming through
