Rafa is the Napoli coach now after agreeing a 2-year deal. Rene girard in December when pardew makes a mess of next season

Believable0 Unbelievable0

That sounded worryingly like you hope he will make a mess of the first half of our next season.

I don't like AP (e) but I hope he does well. We have to hope that, otherwise we are worthy of the laughter and scorn football fans up and down the country heap on us.

Diame and N'Zonzi in midfield is my idea of a nightmare.

Playing lumps in the middle of the park with nothing to do but run around like Bulls in a china shop are not effective in football anymore.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cabaye £25 mill.? We'd be lucky to get £5 mill. the way he's played this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wake up newcastle fans you are over rating your frenchies and over pricing them. Cabaye is worth around ten million tops, no one would pay close to 25million for him, he's good but he's nothing special, he can pass that's it.

Most of your players value have dropped drastically with this seasons form. You should of cashed in last season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Charlie Austin has a buy out clause of 4 million so why pay six.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cabaye 10m? You must be joking! we will get at least 20 and 26 tops!

Agree0 Disagree0

How would we get Diame for £3.5m after the season he's just had?
Spurs have had to play Vertonghen and Naughton at LB this season Assou-Ekotto may be sold and even if they did sign a LB they probably would still like to keep Rose as competition.
Why would PEA come to us? Anzhi are interested in him so he could leave for money or teams like Arsenal and Dortmund are reportedly after him were he would get champions league football.

Agree0 Disagree0

Diame has a release clause.

Agree0 Disagree0

What does cabaye offer apart from he's passing ability? Doesn't score enough, has nothing else to he's game apart from quality passing and through balls etc. So he is nothing special, he's a ten million pound player TOPS. {Ed007's Note - Because every team in England is over-flowing with players that 'only' do what he does.}

Agree0 Disagree0

At the end of the day he's best attribute is he's passing, he's a professional footballer he should be able to pass its the most basic skill although granted Cabaye is better than most. So does that passing skill make him be valued at twenty five million pound?.

For twenty five million I would want a midfielder with at least five quality attributes.

He's overrated and if your spending twenty five million you could choose from a hundred midfielders better than cabaye.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi danny rose will not sign for newcaste he will go to sunderland or he will stay at spurs. lescott 4m add 6m on top off that.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with you on the price tag I think £18m-£20m would be more realistic for Cabaye.
However I also disagree with you saying he can only pass as he has shown he's more than capable of shooting, scoring free kicks, good penalty taker, good movement off the ball making himself available to receive the ball, pressurising opponents, team player and a great professional.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cabaye hasn't had the best season but has shown parts of this season and last season that he is a top top quality player that deserves to be playing champions league football. 10 is very bias and unrealistic, clearly a mackem 18-23m is what we'd sell him for.

Agree0 Disagree0

''What does cabaye offer apart from he's passing ability? Doesn't score enough, has nothing else to he's game apart from quality passing and through balls etc. ''

You just descirbed Xavi & Iniesta.

Like passing and through balls are not just about the finest art in the game.

Agree0 Disagree0

The price of a player is whatever the signing club are willing to pay for him. Would have thought you knew that after Carroll's value went up to £35m. If Ashley wants to keep Cabaye, and puts a price of £25 m on him, that's the going price. Simples.

Given Neymar is not quite ready for a 'big club' yet, would it not be worth a cheeky bid, I wouldn't remind being used as a stepping stone to replace HBA for a couple of seasons?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ha! I'm going to presume you were unaware of the fact he's paid around £150k pw after tax in brazil? There in lies the reason only Barca, PSG, City and Chelsea have been linked wiv him, nobody else can afford his wages!

Agree0 Disagree0

Neymars not ready for a small club either so he won't go to newcastle.

Agree0 Disagree0

We don't have the money mate.

3rd post clearly a mackem. I don't know how you think we're a small club if we've got a bigger fambase than spurs, 20th most valuable club in the world, had many world class players including the premier league ALL TIME top scorer, had one of the best managers in the world in sir bobby 52000 seater stadium, some of the best fans in England, if not THE best. BOOOOOMMMMM, go back to your small deluded club down the road.

Agree0 Disagree0

This was posted by a mackem desperate to make us look as stupid as them in their Cavani deal

Agree0 Disagree0

Bigger fan base than spurs? Lol deluded. Spurs get 36k at whl yes but they have a season ticket waiting list of over 70k so no you don't have a bigger fan base than spurs.

Agree0 Disagree0

Damn looks like Barcelona have nipped in ahead of us now ;)

Phelan sacked by Man Utd.

They scored from more than 20 corners this season too.

We should look at him.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agree Phelans experience would be awesome

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree and has winning mentality too!

Just had a terrible thought.
Pards is staying, Pards plays hoofball, Pards wants a new coach, Tony Pullis is available and a master at hoofball so I think he will end up at SJP. This works for Ashley too because if we are as poor at the start of next season as we all think we will be and Pards get sacked there is a ready made replacement to step in who is used to working on a small budget and can continue the fine work of the owner in just keeping us in the EPL and in and around the top half.
Genius on Ashley's part.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Pardew is only staying so fatty won't have to give a new manger any cash that's the only reason puppett is staying

So AP is staying and as he said we need more height and more EPL experience so I expect him to sign Carlton Cole on a free Transfer.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

When was the last time we bought someone like Carlton Cole, i'm not Pardews greatest fan but he hasn't been that daft

Just heard that Steven n'zonzi has handed in a transfer request. He's only like 23, 24. A threat from set pieces, got some pace and could maybe replace Tiote and Gosling? Would probs cost around 4-8m. Thoughts?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I reckon he would be good, but that position is not a priority, we have more important areas to sort out.

24 May 2013 07:54:05
Who do you think we will sign as a striker this summer?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Carlton Cole. Pards tried after we sold AC, he has worked with him before, he is big and strong and used to hoofball style Pards plays having played for Big Sam and is a free transfer so ticks all the boxes for the people in charge of our club who do not care about our club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Need to sort out the swiss cheese defence first!
