disgusting performance...I was gonna get southampton tickets but i'm not sure if i want to! the way we're playing, we're probs gonna lose! Pardew doesn't focus on what we can do. he doesn't give us attacking fluency. I was alright with the first 30 mins, but after that, we just sat back! We can't do that! attack is the best form of defence! What did pardew say in the dressing room? "Oh, just sit back and relax and if you want to, have a chat wiv ur team mates! coz there not gonna score." He's really starting to annoy me pardew is. If we don't get a win against southampton then we're probs gonna have to wait till january to get our season going. Coz who wants to finish mid table when the previous season we got europe? NONE OF US DO! if only pardew could read all these posts. Oh and i've also got another thing to moan about, QUIT THE BLIMMIN LONG BALL COZ IT DOESNT WORK. Who wants to see that kind of play? We want to see passing, attacking football. We want to attacking EVERY SINGLE TEAM WE PLAY including the top 4 coz it shocks them and scares them. C'mon pardew, sought it out.

What a load of rubbish last night

After last night and the Swansea game I am inclined to agree. With our fans we should be chasingchampions league success not losing to a newly promoted team

All these fans complaining and moaning about the squad at the minute need to short themselves out.
In the premier league there has always been a problem with players reaching form after major competitions in the summer (Euro's) Cabaye and Ben Arfa both played in that tournament and it was always going to be the case that they would start slow.
Also being in Europe is new ground for a lot of these players and they are learning to deal with the rigours of mid week travels followed up with premier league games on the weekend. Look at Santon for example he has played in nearly every game this season and in no two consecutive games has he played with the same people either next to him or infront of him .. how can players expect to gather momentum and rythme. WE NEED TO BE PAITENT
When Everton we in this state a few years back their fans never jumped ship of complained as our fans seem to do.
I say give the team till xmas then really look to push from there.
Only complaint i have is that we never seem to settle in a formation... game after game midway through the game we revert back to the formation that failed us the game before.
Get behind the team, get behind the manager (hes here for the long term) and things will turn around, otherwise the boo's WILL get to the players, and they will become frightened to express themselves incase of mistakes and will possibly want out of the club .. then who is to blame .. FANS!!
This is the premiership players on loads of dosh, thats what gives them the premier staus, if santon can do it week in and out so should the others ! if they cant deal with one or two matches a week cut their wages or put them in championship with others
I think the argument that they're tired from the Euro's is the biggest load of rubbish I've ever heard. These players are elite athletes and are paid ridiculous sums of money to be able to cope with the physical demands of playing all year round.
As for Pardew, I'm a big fan after last season and I'm far from fickle which is why I'm not gonna slag him off. I think he's made some poor tactical decisions this season e.g changing formation and some of the subs he's made when we've been behind... but the players have to be accountable for a lot of it. The performances haven't been spectacular by any stretch of the imagination. Cisse is struggling to get into the game nearly every week, Gutierrez looks lost when going forward coz he's got so used to defending all the time.
Regardless of all this, I'm still gonna support my club which includes the manager. They aren't daft, they will know that our performances haven't been good enough. This is the difficult 2nd season after what was a brilliant season last time. Give them a chance!

I'd be playing Ba on the left Cise in the middle and Marveaux or Obertan on the right.
Midfield of Anita, Tiote and Jonas if fit.
Gonna be a tough game without any creative flair...

All these injuries - it's just what every other team have but you lot have been very lucky ! Get over it and get on with it and stop bleeting on about it !
I am Toon to the death but have to agree with this post. We just are not good enough. so hard to watch lately. seriously need to spend in Jan our face a bottom half finish.
