If Newcastle are signing Diego and N'zogbia then Pardew is going to have to show some good management skills as along with Ben Arfa he will have 3 players that are like timebombs just waiting to go off.

Believable7 Unbelievable2

Exciting though! !

we cannot let tiote barton nolan leave. they bring experiance in the team (nolan and barton) and tiote brings stability infront of the back 4. if newcatsle cash in on barton and tiote there will be a backlash as newcatsle seem reluctant to spend the money.enrique is good as gone.we need to get sturridge and ba for our strikers.n'zogbia as our new winger and our new mystery midfeilder will be matuidi or menez

A good replacement for Jose Enrique if he goes would be Celtics left back Emilio Izaguirre he is an excellent attacking left back just like enrique is he would be a perfect replacement.

If you can remember throughout the season we have been linked with the Algerian international Karim Ziani he could be this mystery signing he plays for wolfsburg and they finished 4th bottom.

I think it?Ç s a bit weard with all the rumours here, that it?Ç s not mentioned that M?Ç Bengue was zoomed in at the game against WBA. He was sitting in the VIP area, so it can?Ç t be to much to say he will sign! And that probly means that Enrique is out the door for sure.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It wasn't M'bengue, it was an ex-player apparently

It can't be Owen Hargreaves, this is as pardew says he is close to agreeing a deal with a club hargreaves is going on a free

I think we really need a RB Kyle Walker would be a great replacement anyone agree

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Agreed - Danny Simpson Cannot defend - He shows everyone onto their stronger foot Eg Lennon for spurs at SJP. Although he is decent going foward we need a reliable right back. Stephen Carr maybe?

Agree1 Disagree1

I reckon a disabled person is better than steven carr mate

Agree3 Disagree1

Carr was pants first time around so no way. That said there seems to be a paucity of good right backs around anywhere that we woudl realistically have a chance of signing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Walker would be a good signing but I think 'Arry will be keeping him so perhaps Hutton or Corluka will be available.

It can't be Hargreaves, AP said fee was close to being agreed with club. Hargreaves is free agent so it can't be him.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

It's Wanyama from Germinal Beerschott.

Drogba seen in the North-East today, heavy rumours! (didnt see him personally)

Believable2 Unbelievable6

What, along with Defoe! ! Both are too old and too highly paid for Ashley's structure. Srurridge is the one I am hoping for along with Osvaldo from Espanyol, played with N'Zogbia/Diego/HBA it would be awesome in my opinion. True to form I reckon we will just get free's/loans/championship and cheap foregin players though.

Agree3 Disagree3

Can you ask whoever did see him to show you a photo please? No one has a photo because he isn't there! In these days of mobile phones, I think someone may have taken a picture, just like Benny at the airport last year.

I heard Pardew has slagged off the SPL saying it's not a strong league re the loan ing of Forster, we ALL know its not as strong as the EPL but he & others like him should keep their mouths shut. How many European finals have Newcastle been in recently ? he has went WAY down in my estimation, the guy should just stick to his own team in his own league.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Lets be honest its the truth though doesn't help a young prospect like Forster at all

Agree3 Disagree1

The spl is sh*te though. equivelent to league 1. if rangers and celtic were in th prem they would both be mid table/relegation canditates beause they hav no money, but the scotish fans are as good as newcatsles in my opinion

Agree1 Disagree1

If Rangers and Celtic were in the EPL though the would have money. The SPL is about the same quality as the Championship, maybe slightly better, hence why players who excelled in the Championship excel there [ie. Hooper and Commons].

Agree1 Disagree0

Not True - The championship is better quality than the SPL - Boyd plays for Middlesbourgh and hasnt excelled at all, while at rangers he scored 20 plus goals a season. However it is true that rangers and celtic would recieve a PL budget.

Agree0 Disagree1

For Boro. A terrible team for most of the season where nobody performed, at Rangers he had a good squad around him. The SPL is the same quality as the Championship.

Agree1 Disagree0

I agree, Boyd was sh*ite at rangers as well, hence we don't want him back, as he only scored all those goals because they were laid on a plate by his team mates who dominate most games, except against celtic, with possession, unlike boro, who are p*sh, look at his record against celtic and that proves he's pish.

My english club is the magpies, and even I would love to see them take on either rangers or celtic with current squads, cause I reckon the magpies would struggle badly, the only players i would take from current team to rangers would be tiote and enrique, the rest are fairly sh*it.

So pardew should worry about his own team, after all, he has won f*ck all as a manager

gersfan

Agree1 Disagree1

Missed Barton and Nolan pal. Both are quality.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Celtic and Rangers would probably make the premier league but be a mid table team. The rest would either continually drop leagues or teams like aberdeen, hearts or dundee would go up and down.

Owen Hargreaves on a pay as you play? What do you think guys? Ed - Whats the chances? {Ed003's Note - slim at best}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Too old, too injury prone and wages too high. . . . . a dead cert then.

Agree0 Disagree0

Omg a wudnt dare have hargreeves.look at newcatsle record for injured players. owen, ireland to name a few theres probably about 10 players in th last 10 year who have had massive injury problems and playing for newcatsle seems to make them worse

Agree0 Disagree0

Terrible, terrible idea.

We should at least try and sign Bothroyd, if he decides to go elsewhere then fair enough but to not even try would be a mistake. He is still a good age (29) free transfer, lowish wages and is more mobile, more creative and more of a goal threat than Shola. Once signed we should sell Shola to anyone who wants him and get about £1m for him which would be good business. Bothroyd is not a first choice player but a squad player but better than Shola and with our injury curse he would still get plenty of game time.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Hes a bit better than best(which is not hard) and he is 29 not very promisng has already peeked and as far as gettin in the england squad was a joke

i think Pardew's comments may have been taken out of the context in which he intended.

Pardew said: "I think we're close on one player which we would like to get over the line.

"And I can say that because he's an international player - not someone who belongs to one of the bottom four battling"

I think he just meant that it's someone who is playinghis football away from the domestic league. i.e one of the international leagues.

whether i'm right or wrong, can't wait to see some new blood in the squad.

Can't see it being Diego to be honest, where is he going to play as Nolan and Tiote are our nailed on CM partnership. Diego is more of a classic number 10 but AP has already said he sees HBA playing there.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Expect one of our midfielders to go, Either Barton or Tiote. Why else would AP want to sign a central midfielder - hopefully it is Diego as he is world class

Agree1 Disagree2

And hopefully its barton who goes

Agree0 Disagree5

I think it's likely to be Wanyama especially given the desire to find good versatile players for good prices. Wanyama can play almost anywhere, is over 6ft tall, very strong, tough in the tackle and available for £1-2m. Seems right up the streets of Ashley and Carr.

To be honest OLD PRO i don't think Enrique will got to Utd to play second fiddle to Evra. He wants International football doubt that will happen sitting on the bench. He might stay with the Toon! (WelshToon)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I honestly think Enrique is better than Evra - Its just the issue from Liverpool. I personally think he's already got his mind set on leaving - 10 -15 mill isn't bad for a player with one year left on his contract. The person we HAVE to keep is Tiote as he is our best player

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think that Enrique will go to liverpool but he'll probably leave :(

Agree0 Disagree0

23 May 2011 09:23:42
Ashley has a transfer policy now - wants young players, with a low weekly wage in terms of PL, and the long contract / 'sell-on' factor.
N'Zogbia will not come back - not after the whole insomnia mess up. Imagine the chants when he doesn't play well! I reckon realistic targets will be Graham, Puncheon, and a foriegn midfileder no-one's heard of. Ashley has let us down far too many times for me to be optimistic about any blockbuster signings

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Your wrong - We are apparently already in talks with Inzogba over a return to the Toon. Thats whats all the rumour sites and papers are saying anyway. I personally think hes the most underrated winger in the Prem and to get him for about ten million is a bargain {Ed007's Note - Mike Ashley is reported as having already rubber stamped the financial package to bring N'Zogbia back to Newcastle, with wages of 60k a week}

Agree1 Disagree5

Ed I hope you are right, he should never have been allowed to leave in the first place and if he had not then we would never have been relegated. I also think there are big doubts at SJP about HBA and his recovery from a broken leg which is why we are spending so much on a similar player.

Agree2 Disagree4

23 May 2011 08:21:10
the international player is not mehdi abeid.A fee can't be agreed for a player who is a free agent consider that!Plus he is only a youth international player so i think you can rule that one out.He will sign for us but he is not the player the sun are claiming we'll sign.
