People are saying we should be going for freebies.

I don't get this Carr being labelled as a top scout.
He found Cabaye already well known and a french regular,Tiote recommended by Steve Mclaren,BA already proved himself in the Prem at west ham.
Cisse linked with most of the Prem safc included but granted was awesome. Ben area recommended by wenger who would not touch him with a bargepole because of his baggage,which to be fair to Ben area he seems to have sorted himself out also has had bad injury problems
Obertans marveaux etc rubbish.

Has anyone thought about Mica Richards at Man City? Doesnt seen to fit in with Mancini and was gutted to miss Euro's. Strong,Fast and Premier league quality. RB or CB? Worth a punt that lad and isnt on stupid wages at city.

Concerned with all the links to strikers and midfield players. The back four is our main concern where we need a CB, RB or LB and someone who can play across the back as utility/cover. So thats 3 defensive positions we should be looking to fill before anything else!
Yes we have/will loose squad player such as Lovenkrands, Best and Guthrie but we have enough cover there if we cant bring our targets in to start the season with.

The club seem to feel that demba ba going is a formality, and are getting someone in to cover that. with the clause, demba could be here 1 minute then gone the next. would hate a situation lie in the 9's when ferdinand got sold and shearer got injured leaving us without a top striker.

Just wondering, would people rather we splash out around 20 million for de jong and debuchy, or bring in 4 or 5 more low key signings similar to that of tiote and cabaye (4/5 million) like this boy Gudietti for the same about of money.

I'd rather take De jong and Debuchy than risk having another low key signing that might not work out.

The chances of a low key signing working out are higher though, as if we splash out the rumoured 14.5 million on de jong when we could have got three good players, we'll look pretty stupid :P

IMO .Both De Jong and Debuchy are over priced and Debuchy is having a mare tonight v Spain even though he's stuck in front the RB. He wasn't much better v Sweden when he was upfield most the night!

Gudietti wont be sold his one for the future city will look to loan him out again so i think a lot of clubs here and in europe will be interested
