L'Equipe is claiming that Roma striker Jeremy Menez is on his way to PSG in an 8 million euro deal.... A quality player that we could surely afford for 8 million euros, at least challenge for him. Even though he is a natural wing i would rather have him over Erding. Does anyone believe we have flair players that pardew promised. Everyone says we still have plenty of time to go, well whats happened to any cheap bids for some developmental players besides Mehdi Abeid. I cant understand all the scouting we have done in the dutch leagues and no cheap bids at all for up and coming players. I see so many fans echoing the club motto: he is to expensive doesn't fit the wage structure, we have to off load players to bring others in. First of all we went in 10 million for Gameiro so get someone of the same quality, we are now going for PSG backup(not the same quality) even after pardew stating what we all know, we are a bigger club. Second part that everyone has became almost brainwashed by is the wage structure, what is the wage structure, can anyone actually say its obviously not based on Coloccini. The final part of my rant is we are one of the smallest in terms of squad size yet again everyone just follows the club motto and says well we have to offload players. If we have all these plan for off loading players then it wouldn't hurt to bring one in because obviously someone is gonna move, rather be proactive to reactive for once. To many supporters echoing the same words of Pardew in terms of wage, transfer and squad size, rather than asking questions.

Rumours PSG have had 8m euros bid accepted for Jeremy Menez. We should snap up Erdinc asap and then bid more for Jeremy Menez could get both for around 15-16million pounds, alternatively just buy Menez first. Would also prefer us signing Jeffen from Barcelona than Nzogbia. He's cheaper to buy/wages about 5million, younger and better attitude, surely he would prefer to come to us instead of Bolton bigger more passionate he used to that at Barca.

Would prefer Jeffren from Barcelona, Younger, cheaper to buy/wages and not a moaner who's to full of himself. Would leave some dosh potentually for another player

Why can't we do what QPR, Priemer League newboys, and say that our best players ARE NOT leaving If we can do this, then maybe then we could challenge for Europe (with a few great signings- obviously)
Ed, on that note, are we close to signing/interested in/or apparently interested in any players, hopefully attaking?

{Ed042's Note - Nothing new from what you have already heard sorry mate, Erding is still a possibility, find out in a weeks time on that one, Long may be allowed to go for 5m which might tempt us again, but apart from that its all being kept under wraps or put on hold until after the US tour, only other one is with Wigans apparent interest in Routledge we may try a swap deal plus cash for Zog, all speculation though and highly unlikely}

Even though I don't expect N'Zogbia to sign for us but when people say he is moody and has bad attitude but yous weren't complaining when Ben Arfa refused to train and forced a move from Marseille to us.

The fact that Ben Arfa has now gone back to France for treatment suggests to me one of two things;
1. The injury is more serious then we are getting told.
2. It's the best hope of getting him fit for the start of the season (which doesn't say much for our medical team)
Either way its worrying because it seems that the club and fans were going to rely on him this season, which is a lot of pressure for a young chap with limited PL experience who's just recovered from a terrible injury. Don't get me wrong, I think he can go on to be a fantastic player for us but I think this emphasises the point that we need a few more players.

The doctors in France dealt with his recovery from de Jong's tackle so who better to ensure no further damage has been done?

erding is not coming get over it go for peter crouch or david hoilett
Crouch is old overrated and terrible in the air for someone of his height. I think hoilett signed a new contract at blackburn.
