i know this is both unlikely and probably not something all would like to see. but if I thought for one second that having benitez as manager would tempt torres to join i'd take that.

just thinking out loud. torres might not be the player he was but he is still finding the net and works really hard. benitez gets the best out of him

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ur right, a loan would do but I can't see pardew being sacked now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pardew stays so at least another season
Of non eventful football disgrace

Shows where Asleys ambition líes
0-3 0-6 0-1 disaster and it is smiles
all around

Get used to it supporting a team trying to catch up to Stoke Swansea W Ham Norwich so forget the top 8

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you deluded or just like talking s**t?

Torres is (Torres) a world class forward (was) and he's on over 120,000 a week. yer I can see the Spanish lad now, thinking to himself, Rafa (NOT GOING TO HAPPEN) has joined Newcastle, I will take a massive pay cut and I will follow him there. Or and I win trophies every year since been here, I will go to Newcastle! - GIVE YOUR HEAD A SHAKE!

WHO DO YOU THINK WE ARE?

If your going to say your point make sure its something that could happen, you know realistic!
Not something you and the Care Bears thought up last night in the lad of nod!

Agree0 Disagree0

I mentioned this very thing last week and got laughed down. Torres would be a perfect fir for our players under a footballing style, Benitez could bring this and I agree he does get the best out of him. The Toon would make their money back on world shirt sales if we bought a stella striker like him. form is temporary while class is permanent.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't be silly. Torres? Keep taking your meds buddy.

Agree0 Disagree0

What part of banter do you not understand? This isn't rumour it is what we would LIKE to happen in a perfect world. now stop getting stroppy because we have a bit of imagination

Agree0 Disagree0

Not really very banterous. What I want in a perfect world is a front 3 of Ronaldo-Messi-Bale. There's optimism and then there's just downright bananas.

Everyone should get behind pardew and stop talking bollix got club in best health for years only Europa cup. That cost us bad season

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Only b******* is from last post Pardew should never be let near anotehr Premiership team again ever

Mediocrity if that and that is all the fans can hope for under these non football owner and manager

Get him out and now.

Agree0 Disagree0

As unfashionable as this is, Ashley got the club in its best state for years.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ashley only balanced the books becasue no one else had the chance a 6 year old could balance the books with the support this club has. Ashley gets 10m advertsing FREE and has puppets running this clubNo changes of manager will ever happen whilst Ashley owns this club. Disaster

Agree0 Disagree0

Freddy Sheppard couldn't balance the books and put Newcastle in a dangerous situation financially. Ashley put that right. He has spent HIS money on transfers and on paper we have a good team. Its Pardew not doing his job!

Agree0 Disagree0

It took £143m of Ashley's money to bring NUFC to solvency, and £100m of that is in an interest-free loan. Shepherd got the club into the s*** and also sacked SBR. You think Ashley's bad?

Agree0 Disagree0

This 'puppet' thing is getting a bit silly. What use to the club would a manager be who was always fighting with his employers? Ashley OWNS the f***ing club and can do exactly what he likes. At the moment he seems to quite like Pardew. You don't like it? Well f***ing lump it.

"Instead it is Alan Pardew's Newcastle who have attempted the most long balls - 152 more than the next highest team, Fulham.
Despite possessing the flair of Hatem Ben Arfa, Papiss Cisse and Yoan Gouffran, the Magpies went long a whopping 2, 283 TIMES this season. "

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Thats an average of over 40 times in a game we rarely had the ball 40 times in a game so don't be so stupid

Agree0 Disagree0

Where did you read that?

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes your right its official Newcastle are long ball merchants a joke with the players we have and wigan, Fulham behind us, need new manager or pardew just has to get um playing good football, only for cisse stoppage times goals this year we'd be relegated.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's not being stupid, he's absolutely right. Check with Opta, it's embarrassing. The key word is 'attempted'.

Saviola is a free agent this summer.

I reckon he would gel with the likes of Ben Arfa and Marveaux.

Cisse is very direct and with that style he needs a striker alongside him.

If we cannot play 2 upfront then we need a striker that can pass and go with the players around him.

I mean how obvious is it by now that we base our game on trying to use Cisse to break the offside trap, teams know this and the defenders step forward to catch him offside now.

You can imagine the drawing board in the changing room of every team we player against. There will be a big circle around Cisse, and the oppositions defenders with arrows in front of them pointing in the opposite direction.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Why saviola the ball will fly over him

I'm a bit bored of all the fans on her who constantly say we have a top 6 team and had it not been for the Europa league we would have been much higher in the league this season!

I can't help noticing Chelsea were in the Europa league this season aswell. a competition they played more games in than we did. add to that they went further in both domestic cups. and then throw in the World club championship, well to all those fans using the Europa excuse. maybe you should have a long hard think!

And then the injuries will get highlighted. but football is a squad game. everyone knows that! We are light years away from being anywhere near top 6!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The Europa League is no excuse.

We were playing fringe players in the group round anyways.

If anything the Europa League should have been a platform for our 2nd players to fight and push the first teamers, in essence making the team stronger.

It is complete cobblers to blame the Europa League.

Agree0 Disagree0

Chelsea did so well because they have a world class and massive squad. And we can't be that far away from top 6 if we achieved it last year. haidara and a number of players are saying there are no excuses for not assaulting the top 6. I think you will be surprised about the difference of not having Europe.

Agree0 Disagree0

Chelsea don t have a big squad as all their players are away on loan so cannot play

Agree0 Disagree0

Man u Man C Chelsea Spurs Arsenal Liverpool all played in Europe last season nuff said

Oh how easy we forget. Remember Pardew took us to 5th last year with a chance of finishing 3rd going into the last day of the season. So what if he's had a bad season. The entire team has had one. Tiote and Cabaye look like shadows of themselves last season and that can't all be pinned on Pards. I say give him another season. Everyone has a bad one once in a while, let's see if it was just a one off. We sacked Sir Bobby because he had a poor start to a season (for us at the time) and we've never fully recovered from that.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agree with that, Sir Bobby did not deserve that, but that is to our shame.

Agree0 Disagree0

Get real will you ANY Premiership team would have acted & sacked Pardew after hi inept attempts to manage this team

If your happy get used to mediocrity because that is all you will get with this man. He fits Ashley's manger profile perfectly neither know football

Agree0 Disagree0

Ive been saying that since everyone started to have a little bit*h about it.

I still think we should keep him until December the end of November. If the results are staying the same and he is not winning games, then get shot and he has had his chance.

But I hope we learned out lessons of this season, because the team has been shocking all year. and by team I mean the lot of them, AP MA, the footballers, training staff, medical staff, all of them are to take some blame in this situation that we find our selves in.

We need to work out good transfer targets, and who is outta the door (cough) ***Jonas***

This all needs to be done now!

But if I was Pards I would be telling the lads, "you have two weeks off, then your pre season starts!"

The fitness levels of our players has been absolutely shocking this year!
They don't deserve a long summer break!

Agree0 Disagree0

They've got to have a minimum of 4 weeks off

Transfer Policy is frightening when Lambias opens his illiterate mouth that we will back AP in the transfer market.

Has been established a CB will be bought probably Douglas on a Free with another back up if they feel Good is not that Good ha ha

A Striker definitely and not Carroll a RB as cover and midfield for Tiote who is on his way. GC instructions are start weaving your magic and find players we can get in for another 15m outlay. Nothing wrong with that however a quality striker will take almost all of that unless we change tack. But when 120m is coming into the club before a ball is kicked it really is an insult. to be scraping around unless we find another 3 Quality players like Sissisko.

I only want pardew to be sacked if it means getting either benitez, Girard or Laudrup

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I am not sure about Laudrup.

Swansea ended the last third of the season in miserable fashion.

I reckon Swansea are in trouble next season.

Rodgers' effect starting to wear off maybe.

Stoke are after Rafa, come on Ashley pull your finger out and get rid of failing Pardew and bring in Benitez before it is too late.
