quite baffling really as to why Newcastle can call Sunderland deluded over the Llorente rumours, when in-fact it is Newcastle who plays host to the greatest lie, 'Eden Hazard spotted at St James' Park discussing terms over a move to Tyneside' wow, newcastle really are deluded.

He came to Newcastle, or was supposed to at least, to see Cabaye on his birthday. The 'contract talks' were a fairly obvious joke. And it's still more likely than Mackems signing Llorente.

Eden hazard was at sjp you person as he his very good friends with cabaye from when they played together..

Can't say I've seen any comment like that on this page or across the transfer news. Interesting point though. On Google news type in newcastle united transfer news and it'll pop up an item that says Sunderland are interested in Guthrie. Last season feeding off of Man Utd's scraps and now trying to poach ours as well.

But these things are just rumours. Also, every football club has deluded fans, it's jsut some of us have more grounds to be deluded, you know because we finished just shy of the Champions League and Sunderland finished..... my neck hurts to look down that far.

Im pretty sure we need more coming in than going out or we will struggle

Agree2 Disagree0

Why is everyone so obsessed with Douglas? He's a good goal scoring CB but he often gets caught out defensively when he charges forward, from what I've seen of him he would not compliment Coloccini, M'Biwa is a much better defender than him.

Agree2 Disagree0

I just think Douglas is the more likely option, would be very pleased with either him or Mbiwa tbh.
And to the first reply i agree but also remember Forster, Ranger, Smith, Lovenkrands and Xisco either barely played or didnt play at all from my outgoing list so its not as if they're going to be big misses even as squad players.

Agree0 Disagree0

Douglas probably is more likely, however the Montpelier president has given 'his blessing' for M'Biwa to leave. With their winning the Ligue 1 it's likely that it could cost up to 10million for him. Worth every penny in my opinion (Colo cost that much) but Pardew wants goals from his new CBs so Douglas probably is going to be the biggest CB at the back.

Im pretty sure Newcastle will already know who they want to go for. It wouldnt surprise me if most of our signings are made in the next few weeks before the euros

Agree0 Disagree0

Pardew was looking to go in afta the euros hoping players underperform to lower there transfer price

hi ed who would you prefer as Demba bas replacement luuk de jong or bas dost {Ed023's Note - pretty sure Dost has gone to Wolfsburg. Why not wait and see what Ba does before looking for his replacement and to be honest judging by Pardew's system - a move for Adam Johnson is what I would do. Johnson Cisse Ben Arfa front 3. Just my opinion}

Believable4 Unbelievable2

Johnson his a good player tbh its just the attitude of him he would be a good signing to but would he come back after been released a few years ago...

Agree0 Disagree0

Bas Dost has gone to wolfsburg as Ed said, plus he wouldnt really fit into the 433 we play.
Luuk De Jong would be class, i really rate him, think he's gonna be top class in the future.
But hopefully Ba stays.
