ba a very good player but until he signs a new contract at nufc we could be liable to lose him on deadline day to champs league club, leaving us well short up front.we definately need to sign a striker as shola is only fit 50% of the time and we have sold best.im a big andy carrrol fan and would be delighted if we signed him, even tough i was really gutted like most nufc fans when he left.being a proud geordie theres nothing better watching local lads scoring goals for nufc and england, personally thou if a deal was to happen i think it might be carrol for ba and i d take andy any day but personally would love them both at st. james park...del

Pards has come out and said Ba will play a more central role as he wants to score goals. He said he will play the central role for 90% of games next season.Quite where that leaves Cisse I don't know.

Agree1 Disagree0

I think you will see Ba and Cisse swapping about quite a lot more. At the end of the season Pards allowed Cisse to make his mark I think, but I think out of the two of them Cisse could be more comfortable playing on the left of a front 3.

Agree0 Disagree0

If he is still with us after the last of July then he will stay because then there will be no 7 nmillion clause.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe Cisse in front of Ba?

Agree1 Disagree0

Also his clause finishes at the end of this month so if he goes after that it will be mega money who can adford that risk, city Chelsea and psg don't think any of them want him now

Agree0 Disagree0

We could play 4-1-3-2 tiote sitting Ben arfa cabaye Jonas in a 3 na cisse up top

Agree1 Disagree1

There is only a week left for a Champions League club to come in and sign Ba on the £7million release clause. From Aug 1st his true market value will apply. I would be very surprised if he left at this stage, when clubs that may have potentially wanted him have had over 3 weeks to sort out the deal.

I would take Ba every time. Carroll is limited to big balls into the box, Ba is a footballer. Id pay 5m for Carroll and use him off the bench. Remmy or Gamerio would be far better additions to our club and cheaper. Football is played at NUFC now and not kick and hope. Carroll? No thanks mate.

Agree5 Disagree1

Ba has to sit out games we play 3 upfront, Ba is only good close to goal. Ferguson was much better than Ba playing on the left. The games Pards opts for 2 upfront should be when Ba gets his games. We have no time to be wet nursing egos. Pardew needs to pick the best players for the best formation against each particular side.

i look at this page everyday and ed you are doing a mint job but some of the s*** that people post on here.... omg! people saying they would have carol instead of BA any day. weve just got last season 2 senegal strikers who are good friends, both play well together and are absolute goal machines along with ben arfa. so why in gods name would you want to replace him with BA. who has been unreal for us last season and even if he didnt score towards the end of the season he still had alot to do with mos of cisses goals! i wouldnt say i wouldnt have him back because i would but he would not get in me starting 11! no were near. he would be on the bench and come on as an inpact sub and play in european games and cup ties but whats the point in throwing away the best thing that we had last season and that was a good style of football with an attacking purpose. if carol plays its long ball all over again. and i wouldnt pay more then 10 mil for him! anyone agree?

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Totally agree. Ba is a far superior player than Carrol and his all round game is much better. It's funny how Carrol was never mentioned when Ba was on fire but include him in a swap deal and some of us think its a good idea. We have moved on since Carrol.

Agree6 Disagree2

Obertan is one of the worst players i av ever seen should be nowher the 1st team. abeid looks like a good player and will challenge the 1st team. y didnt go for hoillet a no brainer. xisco n smith on 50k n 60k a wk and never even played all hoillet was asking for was 60k m"gladbach offered only 50k n euros

Agree5 Disagree0

Carroll would be a useful player to have on the bench to use as a battering ram in games we are getting snuffed out and as injury cover but the asking price is crazy, If thats how Liverpool want to be then leave them to it. They will be spending another season wondering what to do with him when they should be concentrating on other things.

Agree1 Disagree0

I think Obertan is actually a pretty good player, his work rate is really good, and I think we could probably mould him into a tougher player to play as right side middle 3.

Agree0 Disagree3

Have a look on the Liverpool page. They seem to think he is worth £20 million easy. Crazy if they think they are getting that for him.

Agree3 Disagree0

I agree he would be a useful player to come off the bench but would you really want to pay £13m for someone whos going to sit on the bench!? thats going back to our old ways! and i wish people would stop slating obertan and other players! aslong as hes wearing a black and white shirt im going to get behind him and support him! as you all should!

Agree1 Disagree2

Did you get behind Alan Smith and defend him on his 60k per week who done nothing in the last 2 years? people are entitled to their opinion and in mine Obetan is not improving and is way off the first team.
