An interesting stat Newcastle are the only team in the premier league not to have conceded a goal this season

Believable3 Unbelievable0

We are actually the only team in all of england not to concede a goal so far... Rodgie

Agree1 Disagree0

And were playing Fulham next in the league they havnt scored yet maybe 3 in a row would be nice

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah hope so. as long as we get a striker and left in before end of the month i can see us having a good season. possibly even pushing for europe.

Agree0 Disagree1

Was at the game on saturday and unlike some of the sad mackems leaving after the goal i stayed till the end and im sure i heard the fat lady singing over the SOL and she was singing blaydon races

Believable2 Unbelievable0

That is a true person not criticizing the fans i dont care is he is a mackem good on you mate

Agree1 Disagree0

22 Aug 2011 19:14:08
think a forward will be on the agenda but as for ap comments after the game i cant see a new lb as he said it will take a good player to come in and shift taylor

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Puppet Pardew strikes again

Agree3 Disagree4

When did he say that :S

Agree0 Disagree0

That wasnt a comment saying we dont need a left back - he was praising R Taylor for doing a good job, which he is And on recent performances I wouldnt be suprised if taylor comes in as No1 RB for the season once we get the LB position filled.

Agree1 Disagree0

I hope so I panic every time a player runs at Simpson, i can't work out if the bloke can't tackle or if he's just scared to tackle, and I'm sure everyone has seen perch b4 so no comment needed for him

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Aug 2011 17:59:54
I can't believe we're not trying to get Ridgwell. Even if we get Pieters it seems like a no brainer. Cheap, can play LB, CB. Scores 4-5 goals a season from the back and won't b on ridiculous wages. Ideal for our squad.

What you think ED?

Geo

{Ed042's Note - Would think so mate, Celtic, Everton and West Brom said to be all tracking him, only reason I can think of is his age, he would want 1st team football week in week out}

well that was a good day at work.....anyone else notice what bad losers they are.... those Blunderland fans I mean.....I couldn't stop laughing each I saw one of the stroppy gits ha ha ha

Believable1 Unbelievable0

M8 i would have went to work for nowt today see the faces of the so called flop dogs. ps red nosed steves just been interviewed on tv and the reporter asked do you think you are far away from a good team bruce said about 12 miles love it toon march on

Agree2 Disagree0

So you beat us again i suppose u need one bright spot in a relegation season....i was there at the League Play Off when we beat u 0-2 Gates and Gabbiadini when the SGB invaded the pitch trying to get the game abandoned MUPPETS.

Agree0 Disagree0

I was there when Gillingham sent you down to DIV 3.......HA HA HA HA HA... were you at that one too....great night.... HA HA HA HA

Agree1 Disagree1

I was watching when Villa sent you down, wasn't it a duff own goal or something?

Agree1 Disagree0

Big difference.....that was't into div 3 was it.. ha ha ha ......it was into a league I've watched you's go into many a time

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Aug 2011 16:18:06
still think there will be a few more signings espeicially if we can ofload smith, perch, lovenkrands, best and possibly simpson if he doesnt sign a new contract.
looking at whats available how about alan hutton at rb seb bassong at ch both from spurs who are desperate to sell bassong also a good lb,add to that pieters/cissoko at lb hopefully the latter.midfield is good enough, stikers i still think we need two hopefully get maiga whos keen on transfer to nufc, but 1st choice for me is maynard who would be a cheaper option and has pace to burn and knows where the net is.
theres always hope....del

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Why do people still go on about basssong,he couldn't wait to leave. Why do you want him back?

Agree4 Disagree1

I fancy some of what you have been sniffing kid

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't think you'll be getting rid of smithy unless MA climbs down on his £1m wage contribution demand and sorts something cut price with lufc. Seems like Pardew wants Smith around as a motivator and a backup (expensive one at that)

Agree1 Disagree0

22 Aug 2011 16:06:33
breaking news, we wont be signing a striker at all

Believable3 Unbelievable8

wether your a mag or a sad mackem if anyone thinks those 2 sides on saturday will survive in premiership playing like that ye both in for a shock think one of ye will go and the other will be in the mix

Believable1 Unbelievable7

I think both will struggle but for me wigan and blackburn are certs for relegation add to that the 3 promoted sides think we will both be safe.if we nufc get at least 1 left back and 1 forward top half seems acheivable, the mackems look like they need a left midfielder and a striker .

Agree4 Disagree1

Who the he'll is this guy. What about Blackburn Swansea Norwich Wigan etc.

Agree4 Disagree0

To the guy who posted the original posting where you from m8 you sound sad you a smoggie by any chance

Agree1 Disagree0

Haha yess middlesbrough

Agree1 Disagree0

Smoggies can talk lucky they where,t in div 2 by now...16000 to 20000 crowds aswell total crap....

Agree1 Disagree0

Im not a boro fan but it wouldn't surprise me if boro were swapping places with not one but both of ye. and out of the two my money would be on the mags

Agree1 Disagree3

Both teams got good results against a good side on the opening day of the season and if thats the bench mark for the season then we will both be ok I expect liverpool and arsenal to be in the top 5 so to get the results we both did then that says it all really and on to the next game

Agree1 Disagree0

So answer my question then where you from or what team you follow ...or are you to ashamed to say or are you jeff stelling we all know his team...

Agree1 Disagree0

Neither of the 2 will struggle you absolute moron, go away, learn a bit about football, then come back and post something intelligent

Agree0 Disagree0

I did say something inelligent ...must of hit a nerve you sound like that bigot rodney marsh

Agree0 Disagree0

is it just me or did tiote have a major off day against the scum??

Believable4 Unbelievable0

He was very un Tiote like against Arsenal also, I'm sure he'll come good.

Agree3 Disagree0

He didnt play our last two friendlies so he should be back to his normal self soon

Agree3 Disagree0

Im sunderland and thought tiote had an excellant game and though not a classic derby game must give credit to pardew he got his tactics spot on set his stall out not to get beat and try and snatch a winner dont think tiote set foot in our half but him and barton broke most of our move through the centre down along with s taylor and collocini kept us at long range efforts i must give credit where due lads well done because as the home side we didn't do enough to warrant anything out of the game

Agree5 Disagree0

Good start to the session 4 points from 6 and two clean sheets and the only team to keep clean sheets in there two opening games wat more could we really ask for let just hope we can keep this up for the rest the sessions

Agree1 Disagree0

If we kept that up we'd have 76 points. Lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Lovely that would have seen us finish 2nd last season 4points behind Man Utd, so if we signed a LB and a Striker does that mean we would make up the 4 points and will sneak the title

Agree1 Disagree0

Only title we winning lads is best team in northeast smb,s

Agree2 Disagree0

I thought Tiote was much better when he just sat infront of the defence when we took the lead.

Agree0 Disagree0

What game were you watching? tiote was poor, cattermole had him in his back pocket most the game and he was lucky to not give away a penalty 2 weeks running because of some bad refereeing

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Aug 2011 14:34:53
Personally I'd rather pay £3m to loan Sturridge than £7-10m for Maiga, even if they have no intention of selling at the end of the season.

Actually I'd rather play Kuckic from teh start than see us buy Maiga.

Newcastle team vs Scunthorpe on Thursday (In my opinion)

451

Krul
R.Taylor...Willo....Collo....Ferguson
Obertan....Gosling....Cabaye...Tiote...Marveaux
Ba/Best, (but Ba needs to improve his game so putting him against an easier opposition could be good)

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Harper
Dummet/Willo/Taylor/Ferguson
Gosling / Smith / Abeid / Marveaux
Vukic/Ba

Agree3 Disagree0

Ba has only had one prem game this season give him a a break.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ive heard ba is having more bother with his knee, apparantly swelling up all the time.

Agree0 Disagree5

Harper
Taylor Williamson Kadar Dummett
Marveaux Vuckic Gosling Ferguson
Ba Lovenkrands

Agree1 Disagree0

No he isn't stop posting rubbish.

Agree0 Disagree0

The players who should play are
Tiote needs more game time missed much of pre season.
Ba needs to get more game time and confidence.
Harper to show he's wanted

WE NEED TO SIGN JOE COLE,DAVIDE SANTON,JULIO BAPTISTA,ROBERTO SOLDADO,MARTIN SKRTEL

WAFA

Believable1 Unbelievable6

i think we should bid for anelka, shud get him for 6-8mill

BradToon

Believable1 Unbelievable5

Anelka was awesome on saturday there is no way chelsea will sell him and if they do i think they will want somewhere in the region of 20mill

Agree0 Disagree0

He is 3132 Chelsea would let him go for 7 or 8 but his wages would be 2 high

Agree1 Disagree0

He wouldnt cost much due to his age, his wages though would be a problem

Agree0 Disagree0

PSG were quoted 15 million so there that notion of him costing little out of the windoe

Agree0 Disagree0

Love how people just make up random numbers on here

Melvut Erding has announced that he expects to join a new club by Wednesday this week (France Football), he has accepted that he has no future at PSG, expect NUFC to be back in for him.

Some people will say stuff him he didn't want to join us previously, I say he was loyal and could see interesting times ahead at PSG.

If Grhan Carr says he's good enough, we should show some faith....

ToonBarmy

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Graham.

ToonBarmy

Agree1 Disagree0

Of all the players we could sign I think I'd lke him the best. First choice would be Sturridge and Bendtner, secone Sturridge and third Bendtner but it wont happen.

i love how sunderland fans keep saying there real fans and yet on there page there all sayin gthey gona go back to the pubs and not games, typical mackems supposed "top dogs" going for "europe" "gona hammer us" until we beat them again then they go in hideing again its just so funny looking at a shambles there fans are

Believable8 Unbelievable0

We can choose wether to go to games yous only get so many cos cashley conned you all into long term season tickets paying through nose you muppets . win one game and everything all ok give it a month and you all be whining and whinging again

Agree1 Disagree3

Not just any old game tho was it haha

Agree6 Disagree0

Nope we still wining now we want a striker neh neh neh neh...and last week week and many weeks before brown and oshea where true top prem players who would have all out team in there pockets...numpty if they where that good fegir would of kept the simples

Agree4 Disagree0

Agreed Ferguson doesnt sell good players.

Agree1 Disagree0

One word for the mackem.....Unbeaten

I hope I am wrong but I really do not rate Pieters. Surely the extra places we would finish up the league with Cissokho in the side as opposed to Pieters would cover the additional funds needed to buy the Frenchman?
Its only 2 or 3 million so go on MA take the gamble.
I also have a sneaking feeling we will sign one of the Chelsea strikers now that Lukaku has signed. Don’t care which one as they are all better than what we have.

Believable2 Unbelievable5

Do not rate Pieters? 1st choice left back of the No.2 ranked international side in the world at just 22 years old?? (since turned 23) against Aly Cissoko, who has had a serious back injury and Lyon are willing to let go after 1 season......

I think not.

ToonBarmy

Agree7 Disagree0

Psv ranked no 2 in world? ahead of Man Utd real madrid ac milan inter milan juventus bayern munich i think your medication due pal

{Ed042's Note - International side mate. Holland not PSV}

Agree1 Disagree2

That's what I like to see, people who read posts thoroughly before replying....

"No. 2 ranked international side in the world"

Pieters is a great defender, not as attacking as Enrique, but solid

Agree5 Disagree0

Since when did FIFA ratings make any sense, that is a poor argument. He is lumbering and most teams have a pacy right winger that would tear him apart and he has no threat going forward.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cissokho is a risk he has a problem in his teeth that could affect his back and thats why ac milan didnt sign him

Agree1 Disagree0

How does a problem in your teeth affect your back?
