pfa team of the year - Hart, Walker, Kompany, COLOCCINI, Baines, Yaya Toure, Silva, Bale, Parker, Rooney, van Persie
geordie chris

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Fantastic to see a Toon player get recognised in these things whereas it's normally dominated by the usual culprits. Thoroughly deserved.

Agree0 Disagree0

True they deserve it, Krul beats hart imo. was also nice watching MOTD, Newcastle first ones on and hansen and lineker were licking geordie hoop, makes a change.

Agree3 Disagree0

5 Live still the same though, deep hatred for the Toon. Also, why does Chris Waddle hate us so much?

Agree0 Disagree0

Chris waddle was born in pelaw (tyneside) but he supports sunderland as a boy, dont know how that is even possible he must have got chinned everyday at school haha. thats why he never has a good word to say about us, even though we were the first ones to sign him professionly

Agree3 Disagree0

Chris Waddle is derided by Toon fans. That's the 'pelanty' for being a Mackem supporter and someone who talks a load of rubbish.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its mainly to do with the fact that when he left us we berated him every chance we got then he got turned down by sir john hall and co for a coaching job a few years ago! think its called holding a grudge!

I hope Wigan go down and we could sign Victor Moses for maybe £5 mil, i think he is going to be the next big thing in the league, anybody got any thoughts?

Believable1 Unbelievable1

At 5million maybe a bit steep great looking squad player for next season maybe 3-4 million

Agree0 Disagree0

Could not agree more the lad looks quality. Plus he is English. He agent has already said he will be leaving Wigan even if they stay up.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is out of contract in the summer so would be free

Agree0 Disagree0

He has a year left on his contract from August he turned us down once why would we want him

Agree0 Disagree0

He doesn't, his contract runs out in june...as well as diame

Agree0 Disagree0

Moses is Nigerian now. That's who he's chosen to play for meaning if we keep Ba and Cisse we'd have no attack next January.

Agree0 Disagree0

Look on the net, 1 year to go

if we were to complete these signings i d be over the moon yann m vila from rennes young 20s midfielder a holding midfield would be much better than guthrie and olivier giroud great goalscoring record and would be a regular if one of the senegalese duo were to get injured and finally marvin martin to complete a trifecta of french gems in carr we trust

Believable1 Unbelievable1

M`Vila who is valued at around 20 million and being chased by all the big clubs.

Agree1 Disagree0

Girouds agent came out and said newcastle aren't big enough, which i dissagree with but I just dont want players who are too big for their own boots other 2 i would take at the right price

Agree1 Disagree0

Not big enough, Ok then he can jog and we can move on.

Agree2 Disagree0

You forget we have Marveaux... he is effin quick too!

Agree0 Disagree0

Is Giroud even a regular starter?

That Erdnic must be kicking his curly toed boots now he has missed the chance to join the Toon... Kebab anyone?

Agree2 Disagree0

Tbh i never thought erdinc was really good enough 4 the toon so im glad we didn't sign him and you can't say the new striker we did sign hasn't been awesome.

Agree1 Disagree0

Yes giroud is a regular starter for montpellier and has scored 20 some odd goals this years he will be hard pressed to move come summer as montpellier will secure champions league and he will have a price tag if 20 to 25 million, im sure liverpool will be daft enough to pay

Agree0 Disagree0

We've got our first team sorted. The only positions that could be in doubt are Simpson, if he doesn't sign his contract, and Ba is his clause gets activated and he accepts the offer from that club.

Beyond that we need to be looking at players in their early 20's who have some experience with good ability and versatility to provide options to the team and be long term successors to the Colo's, Cabaye's and Ben Arfa's in the team.

Agree0 Disagree0

Grioud from the mighty Montpellier, that euro-legend team.

Alan Pardew said we should give credit to mike ashle, that he has put a lot of his money into the club and all he has had of us is grief (my words not APs) so tap agree if you think he deserves i, tap disagree if you still have your head stuck up your a...e

My old dad was a geordie but to his horror I ended up being a gooner (it was supermacs fault when I was about 6 years old)

So I would just like to say good luck and I hope you finish 4th (not 3rd obviously)

Great signings, great style of play and a manager who I wasn't a fan of but I now think he's done a fantastic job.

You fully deserve a crack at the champions league,my old man would've been made up,and I can laugh at the spuds epic failings again...win,win!

cheers,

a VERY happy gooner

Believable11 Unbelievable0

Well we'll do it in his memory and push you Gooners into 4th! All the best mate.

I'd like to wish the Geordies all the luck in getting into the top 4, you deserve to get a CL place, good managment teamed with cleaver signings without breaking the bank and a humble manager who doesn't love the sound of his own voice, unlike a certain England manager to be!
Mo (a gutted Spurs fan)

Believable6 Unbelievable0

Cheer up lad ,once he's gone to England you can get someone better in.

Agree0 Disagree0

John Carver is'nt on the England short list

Agree0 Disagree1

Don't suppose we could have Pards could we? Lol

Well done Chris H for getting Birmingham into the play offs,it confirms my opinion he is a Championship level Manager .In Alan Pardew we have a man who has shown capable of mixing it at the top level in the game both tactically and motivationally, whilst retaining the dignified approach much admired in Chris.I would also single out John Carver who was charged with the difficult job at the start of the season to mould the new group of players into a team. The "experts" like Laurenson,Pinochio etc said it couldn,t be done as we had sold the motovational heart of our team.(Nolan BartonEnrique)
They clearly under estimated the passion for NUFC that runs through JC and we can all see what a great job he has done. (Sir BR will be delighted his influence lives on)

Believable5 Unbelievable0

If Sir Bobby is looking down on TOON now he'll be very very proud .He would of loved to manage the likes of Benny and Cisse & co that's for sure.

Is everyone 4getting Marvaux? Talk about getting wingers in etc well lets wait till the lad is fit and see what he has got, like a new signing. Ctr back and left back maybe right back that are capable of stepping straight into the team if required. Then maybe 5 or 6 new signings to boost squad and they can be drafted in when needed, remember with our european journeys we need to swell the squad, only players i would move are, Smith,Ranger,Lovenkrands,Gosling, players who will never reach our standards now.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

I agree if we can keep him fit he is going to be a player. He has great technical ability

Agree4 Disagree0

Dont forget xisco

Agree0 Disagree3

Has there ever been a weirder situation than Xisco? There are young kids following us now who don't even know who he is. We should have just been rid years ago and taken the loss on the chin.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think when 2 above said 'Don't forget Xisco' he didn't mean greta technical ability etc, he meant get rid.

hey geordie folks, arsenal fan here. just like to congratulate you on 1) owning spurs
2)being 4th-lets hope chelsea dont win the CL!
3)having the best manager in the epl (new wenger)
4) having class players(cisse, ben arfa, cabaye, ba etc.)
5) selling that donkey arse for £35mil to loserpool

harry

Believable16 Unbelievable1

In 2) you mean 3rd.

Been a great season, you lads came through well after a bad start. Onwards and upwards, you're one of only 2 cock-er-ney teams I can stomach (the other being Fulham for some reason).

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Apr 2012 09:41:54
Alright lads am a LFC fan but I hope you get 4th before the cockney lot can't stand Chelsea and spurs, maybe it's a northern thing!

My hopeful team next season

Krul
Santon Colo(C) Douglas Pieters

Tiote Jonas

Ben Arfa Cabaye
Ba

Cisse
Reserves Subs
Sammy Elliot
Willo Saylor
Perchinho Raylor
Vuckic Marveaux
Tavernier Shola
Abeid
Obertan
Obviously the squad would be rotated
around with perchinho etc. The likes of Best, Guthrie will want regular playing time something not
possible in our team, so they will
probably go. Ranger, Gosling, Xisco
and the others are all must-go's in
the team. Now we are in Europe all
of the players must be quality. I
know Pieters is in a cast and blahblah
but he would be useful in the team
and could be cheap from the injury.
Simpson is the weak link in the back
four and won't sign a new contract
so he will leave.

What do you think guys??

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Horrible line up!
krul
santon coloccini douglas pieters
cabaye tiote jonas
Ben Arfa Cisse Ba
subs/reserves Elliot, ferguson, saylor, marveaux, alderweild, de Jong, best, shola, sammy, vuckic, abeid, williamson, guthrie, gosling, streete, tavernier

Agree0 Disagree0

Gosling is a good player only young need to keep him. I think an attacking left winger is needed (Ben Arfa Type)

Agree0 Disagree0

Guys I really have doubts about Douglas ,that guy needs anger management classes.

Agree1 Disagree0

Just like pepe!
