Fantastic to see a Toon player get recognised in these things whereas it's normally dominated by the usual culprits. Thoroughly deserved.

True they deserve it, Krul beats hart imo. was also nice watching MOTD, Newcastle first ones on and hansen and lineker were licking geordie hoop, makes a change.

5 Live still the same though, deep hatred for the Toon. Also, why does Chris Waddle hate us so much?

Chris waddle was born in pelaw (tyneside) but he supports sunderland as a boy, dont know how that is even possible he must have got chinned everyday at school haha. thats why he never has a good word to say about us, even though we were the first ones to sign him professionly

Chris Waddle is derided by Toon fans. That's the 'pelanty' for being a Mackem supporter and someone who talks a load of rubbish.

Its mainly to do with the fact that when he left us we berated him every chance we got then he got turned down by sir john hall and co for a coaching job a few years ago! think its called holding a grudge!

if we were to complete these signings i d be over the moon yann m vila from rennes young 20s midfielder a holding midfield would be much better than guthrie and olivier giroud great goalscoring record and would be a regular if one of the senegalese duo were to get injured and finally marvin martin to complete a trifecta of french gems in carr we trust

M`Vila who is valued at around 20 million and being chased by all the big clubs.

Girouds agent came out and said newcastle aren't big enough, which i dissagree with but I just dont want players who are too big for their own boots other 2 i would take at the right price

Tbh i never thought erdinc was really good enough 4 the toon so im glad we didn't sign him and you can't say the new striker we did sign hasn't been awesome.

Yes giroud is a regular starter for montpellier and has scored 20 some odd goals this years he will be hard pressed to move come summer as montpellier will secure champions league and he will have a price tag if 20 to 25 million, im sure liverpool will be daft enough to pay

We've got our first team sorted. The only positions that could be in doubt are Simpson, if he doesn't sign his contract, and Ba is his clause gets activated and he accepts the offer from that club.

Beyond that we need to be looking at players in their early 20's who have some experience with good ability and versatility to provide options to the team and be long term successors to the Colo's, Cabaye's and Ben Arfa's in the team.

Well done Chris H for getting Birmingham into the play offs,it confirms my opinion he is a Championship level Manager .In Alan Pardew we have a man who has shown capable of mixing it at the top level in the game both tactically and motivationally,whilst retaining the dignified approach much admired in Chris.I would also single out John Carver who was charged with the difficult job at the start of the season to mould the new group of players into a team.The "experts" like Laurenson,Pinochio etc said it couldn,t be done as we had sold the motovational heart of our team.(Nolan BartonEnrique)
They clearly under estimated the passion for NUFC that runs through JC and we can all see what a great job he has done. (Sir BR will be delighted his influence lives on)

If Sir Bobby is looking down on TOON now he'll be very very proud .He would of loved to manage the likes of Benny and Cisse & co that's for sure.

2)being 4th-lets hope chelsea dont win the CL!
3)having the best manager in the epl (new wenger)
4) having class players(cisse, ben arfa, cabaye, ba etc.)

Been a great season, you lads came through well after a bad start. Onwards and upwards, you're one of only 2 cock-er-ney teams I can stomach (the other being Fulham for some reason).

Obviously the squad would be rotated
around with perchinho etc. The likes of Best, Guthrie will want regular playing time something not
possible in our team, so they will
probably go. Ranger, Gosling, Xisco
and the others are all must-go's in
the team. Now we are in Europe all
of the players must be quality. I
know Pieters is in a cast and blahblah
but he would be useful in the team
and could be cheap from the injury.
Simpson is the weak link in the back
four and won't sign a new contract
so he will leave.

Gosling is a good player only young need to keep him. I think an attacking left winger is needed (Ben Arfa Type)
