they ought to ban Pardew from the dressing room at half time. we always seem to come out timid in second half and get caught early on Des toon

Why did Tiote come on at 85 minutes when we were chasing a goal?

Apart from that, all the decisions in theory were correct.

The problem is is that whenever we start brightly and dominate in the opening minutes of a game, we don't score enough goals early enough. its no good just trying to get more possession on a 1-0 lead, we need to take our chances more. for example when we were thrashed 5-0 by tottenham, they scored 2 or 3 goals in the opening half an hour, which was enough to take everything out of us mentally.

Huddleston - best player on the park today - sprayed the ball around and made things happen. Why the hell did we not go for him - or can we not compete financially with Hull

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Because if we had of fans like u wouldve said no ambition etc etc

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you are mistaking me for the fans who wanted marque signings for mega millions. Fans like me would have recognised we had signed a player with a lot more quality than most of the existing squad and who could add some creativity to the team. Who did we have to come on when Cabaye went off, after that our midfield did nothing.
I can appreciate a good player when see one.
I also do not come on this site with glib critisism of ther fans opinions with nothing to say myself

Well that was an obvious Result. Shouldve seen it coming. same old toon, from looking energetic n pacey in 1st half to a lacklusture OAPs in 2nd. midfield were missing. hull couldve had 4 or 5 if graham had a better touch.

AP looked so confused when hull equalised at 2-2. scratchy head time.

HBA very quiet, hardly had a kick all game

Remy quiet in 2nd half, unlucky especially the injury time sitter. if cisse hadve missed it hate to think fans reaction.

Hey ho Cup on wednesday so let's hope for a result. better not play the u12 lasses team n lose like

This result could actualy play into our favour - all out against Leeds to make amends?

Wonder if Pardew thinks the booing at the end of the game after getting beat off Hull at home is an over overreaction from the fans? Never learns to keep his trap shut.

Tiote and Gouffran need to start against everton, we need at least a point against them otherwise it might go t1ts up

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Tiote is not the answer.

Gouffran though does need to play.

Why is Cisse being played every game when he obviously looks tired. For goodness sake rotate him and keep him fresh.

I really can't believe that, such good form 2 wins on the bounce, and we go and slip on the banana skin. Reminded me of the west brom game where we lost 3-2, we went down to an underdog team who worked hard and simply wanted it more. We dominated them in the first half, but were terrible second. Glad to see remy got 2 goals but he could of got us a draw and his hat trick if he put away that sitter, and cisse is really getting on my nerves he needs to be dropped. But fair play to hull, they probably deserved it. let's hope that is one of the last games we lose to a side like hull. But every team has the odd game like that (trying to be positive as usual)

Only good thing about football today was west brom hammering sunderland.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We are not a good side we have a poor manager and far too many average foreigners who couldn't care less about nufc.

Does anybody know who our defensive coach is, and if it is the same defensive coach as last season?

As far as I am concerned the attacking players did their job, 2 goals against a compact Hull set up to defend is job done for them.

How did we leak 3 goals at home, the first 2 were a joke. I will give them the 3rd one, that was goal Ribery would be proud of.

It is frustrating to be this close to having a good team, but silly errors being the difference between us and where we should be.

It could be worse, we could be in Sunderland's situation with no hope.

We were the better team, but we need a defensive coach. I wanted more than mid-table mediocrity, I wanted top 7.

Liverpool got beat by the Saints at home, and Sunderland got thumped by West Brom, so I guess we are not having as bad a weekend as some.

These games happen to every team. e. g. liverpool beat by saints

For those who hate ashley for what he is doing it is actually a good thing. all summer news papers have been talking about the appointment of joe kinnear and how pardew will be leaving and so will carr. At the end of the season we sign nobody and everyone is shocked because we do have a lot of money to spend and more than southampton and norwich if we wanted to because of our financial stability and banks will offer us loans and overdraft. however derek llambias talked about manchester utd being a large brand with 300m supporters and how we have 3.5m supporters. Ashley's aim is to create newcastle into the brand we use to be and be successful on and off the field.
Instead of advertising and letting the media writing reports about newcastle, what he did was set up his own sport's website and the first article was how we wanted to bid 20m for rooney which will never happen. However, we did manage to get the news across europe which has increased our brand awareness. Also joe kinnear's appointment was a tactical move by newcastle. first kinnear announced that he will be director of football without newcastle announcing it and which attract the media's attention as they missed out on the story. pardew acted like he didn't know and that it unsettled him and carr which was all over the back page of sport. And with carr insettled that means the french media will be reporting that newcastle could end the interest in the french market which is also free advertisement for the club.
lastly ashley's last move which has got newcastle fans driven up the wall is not spending any money in the transfer window. with the media reporting that the new tv deal will increase by 25% most teams spent that money and newcastle acted like they had one in the pot. at the end of the transfer window we were bottom of the spenders list on ssn which will increase our brand awareness and also a pschological tactic to towards players. an example gomis rejected newcastle in the january transfer window the first signing we wanted to make was gomis with an official bid. with newcastle not spending this will show how important he is for newcastle and with future targets they will feel like they're important when newcastle approach them.

with all this newcastle have increased there brand awareness and to be honest in europe in the knockout stages we were the underdogs for each game and surprised anzhi, metalist and even benfica when taking the lead twice.

I can guarantee newcastle will spend this january window to crave more media attention as being spenders instead of being a selling club and a tight team.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We want more spending in the summer not just waiting till January.

Let's hope we continue the attacking, fluid football with the 433 formation.

Also I think more people on this site should register there own sign off name, it will make it look better and we won't have to say "i agree with 2nd poster" or "i disagree with 5th poster"

{Ed007's Note - We will be cutting down on anonymous posts over the coming weeks JT and are encouraging people to register or at least tag their posts. We have been slowly bringing it in on other sites (Man Utd and LFC are registered users only) and it has greatly cut down on the rubbish posts and helped, as you say, poster interaction. We are always looking at ways to improve the sites and these improvements will only be available to registered users.
We will not give your e-mail to any 3rd party, the sole reason for taking this direction is to improve the quality of the site.}

I agree with first poster about the sign off names as it can get confusing, especially if we want to discuss musical tunes like the last post or other post related trivia.
