GYAN VS DEMBA BA

BA. . . . 75 goals in 137 games. . . . . . . . . . FREE

GYAN. .60 goals in 186 games, . . . . . . . . . .£13 million

Believable10 Unbelievable1

GYAN- ballon d'or nominee top 23 players in the world. 5 goals in world cup finals. BA. . er crock from west ham

Agree1 Disagree2

Jon Dahl Tomasson also has 5 world cup goals, and he was complete crap in the prem. Stats only show you so much. Stats like GYAN 31 appearances 10 goals, Ba 12 appearances 7 goals.

Agree1 Disagree0

99% of stats made up for marketing purposes

Agree0 Disagree0

Tomasson abslotue class when he went to a big club unlucky at newcastle as shearer was injured had to spend lot of time upfront on his own when best position behind front man as for gyan and ba both good players if ye are a mag ye would love t see ba and gyan upfront together at sjp and if ye a mackem same at sol

ed what do you recon the chances of newcastle getting matuidi and erding? {Ed001's Note - I would say there is a good chance, if you go for them. There has been a lot of groundwork laid in France and the club is being sold as a stepping stone to the top clubs. I personally am not so sure how that sounds to a fan of the club, but I guess it is the only realistic way to sell the club right now. The only problem with that approach is if one of the top clubs steps in players will have their head turned. Right now though Matuidi is very much up for grabs but Erding has Spurs interested.}

Hi Newcastle fans This is a Villa fan

Just wondering the f**k Ashley is playing at selling your best player Kevin Nolan

Firstly for only 3 million (thats just madness)

Secondly he bagged 12 goals in a midfield position thus very valueable to any team

and lastly why has he not only snubbed playing in the prem for but also the offer to play for Villa to play for West ham in the Championship i mean the CHAMPIONSHIP
thats just crazy

Believable4 Unbelievable2

Because Ashley is a tit!

Agree3 Disagree1

Nolan was offered a heavily incentivised contract, that would have been very lucrative had Nolan helped us to a top 10 finish. This was an extension of his contract lasting 2 years. He declined this as he wanted a 5 year contract. We were never going to offer a 29 year old 5 years.
West Ham were prepared to pay him 55k per week, and offer him 5 years.
It is down to the player really, a shorter, (but still well paid) contract with a club wanting to climb the prem, or a lucrative weekly wage with a club that throws money down the drain in the championship.
Nolan made his choice by not signing, and we accepted a bid. If he didn't want to go, he could have turned WH down.

Agree2 Disagree2

We sold him because we got a younger better player with smaller wages.

Agree2 Disagree1

Im pretty sure it was 5 million and I know for a fact he will never get 12 prem goals in a season again

Agree3 Disagree0

Last comment hit the nail on the head! Good post!

Agree3 Disagree0

I'm completly dumb founded as a on looker that you let him go for a measly 3m he was easily worth a solid 8-9m

Agree2 Disagree2

Yeah but any moneys good money when your Ashley.

Agree1 Disagree1

He went for more than 3million, about 4.5 million has been quoted. Not bad, and about what we paid for him in the first place.

Agree0 Disagree0

4.5 mill is what he went for if hes worth 8 mill i must be worth 3 mill! !

21 Jun 2011 19:33:11
why are we selling players surely we should be bringing in players
has any one heared what we are spending the carroll money on because at the moment we are bringing 1 player in 2 out so we are not losing money. if this carries we are going to have the caroll money still at the end of the window and would have lost all our key players like barton and guitierez and enrique and collochini and krul and tiote. and brought in a couple of french players who won't settle till january and by that time we would already in the drop zone struggleing to get out

this is what nzogbia said when he left newcastleIn December 2008, N'Zogbia announced his desire to leave Newcastle during the January 2009 transfer window, saying "After four years at Newcastle, I want to reach a higher level of ambition. I don't think that is possible here." why would he want to go back to a club in a worse state now source wikipedia

Believable3 Unbelievable3

F**k of worse state now. we were in crisis then relagation battle no propper manger ashley acting like even more of a pr**k than he does now. u must be a mackem

Agree0 Disagree3

Truth hurts mate

Agree3 Disagree0

Read into his words mate! he says he has ambition yet went to wigan after a spat with carrol. if he moves it will almost certainly be for money unless he can get european football. safc is just a sidewards step to wigan

matuidi's wikapedia page says he plays for toon with number 12 shirt? {Ed008's Note - Danny Simpson is the current No 12 for the Toon.

Anybody can edit wikapedia pages {Ed008's Note - Makes a good point here.

Newcastle would be mad to let barton go he is ace and i really think the toon will have the signature of shane long good young centre forward to fill the gap left by shearer and carrol

Believable1 Unbelievable4

Shane long is no shearer!

Agree5 Disagree1

If shane long go's anywhere it will be wolves they got good irish connections and they are in the hunt for him.

Agree3 Disagree1

So are sunderland and we hav canny irish connections aswell ! !

Agree0 Disagree2

That's why you defend from the front you backwards makem. . no ain't dat rite. . .

Agree0 Disagree2

Defend from the front ?? eh ! anotha thicko on glue ! get ya homework done and get 2 bed don't want you sleeping in 4 your carer in the morning !

Agree1 Disagree0

You can't put shearer and carroll in the same sentence

21 Jun 2011 15:03:09
rescent quote off gyan
" i am not leaving sunderland and i am not interested in these rumours in the newspaper and the internet" he told MTNFOOTBALL.COM
"i am fully committed to sunderland because i love the institution and traditions of this club "
" i am staying at sunderland next season and for the foreseeable future as i am looking forward to seeing my teamates"
hope this puts this rumour to bed that hes leavin sunderland once and for all !

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Didn't Carroll say something similar?

Agree3 Disagree1

Why you posting this on the newcastle page?

Agree2 Disagree1

Haha firstly y r u posting this in the nufc section and seconly im pretty sure we have seen this scenario before with carroll and also henderson don't always believe what a player says cause money talks.

Agree2 Disagree1

I am posting it on here cos it seems that yous mugs are cumin onto our site and posting the rumour in the first place ! we never said we wouldn't sell henderson the business was done between the 2 clubs amicably and i never heard henderson say he didn't want 2 stay the way gyan has ! as 4 carroll he was pushed out because of the money the fat controller didn't giv him a choice ! ! just accept it gyan is goin nowhere so now yous can make make more crap up ( eg etoo is signing 4 the toon ! )

Agree3 Disagree1

Haha yous can make up crap as well like sunderland are going to beat the toon in the derby and ben arfas broke his leg ect and yous are actually going to buy a decent player this summer which isn't going to happen lol

Agree1 Disagree2

Quinn said July/August we will make signings, bet you eat your words by the end of August muppet. SGB

Agree4 Disagree1

Please, please , please if you are going to post on our page then learn to spell you dumb ass makem

Agree1 Disagree3

Haha eat my words if u call gibson a good signing then u have a problem just look at the class coming into newcastle i bet u are quaking in your boots for the derby.

Agree1 Disagree3

Just right ne one gans on the smb site so to get light they come on here hope he leaves anyway would make us mags happy coz he does not want championship football with the smb mob next season well done agent bruce

Agree1 Disagree2

Gibson s**t which player in your shower of s**te has a premier league medal to show off or scored a goal in champions league semi final wish i had a team full of winners like him.

Agree2 Disagree2

Gibson looks good because he is surrounded by world class players playing against average teams. Put him in an average team and you will see he isn't as good as you smb think he is

Agree1 Disagree1

Haha shola could go to man u and get a premier league medal and score a goal that doesn't mean he is a good player lol he wasnt even picked for half of the games and you got rejected by to of the worst players in their squad in oshea and brown as well lool

Agree1 Disagree2

Once again you thick mags avoid the main points by bein facetious and picking up on spelling misteaks ! (ha) lets try and stick 2 the facts , sunderland are not selling their best players and replacing them with untried froggies ( wouldn't like 2 be alongside them in the trenches ! ) newcastle are ! we havnt even signed any1 yet so lets just wait and see before you start your bitching ! fact is yous hav signed PLAYERS ? and there nowt 2 shout about !

Agree2 Disagree0

Haha u put "hope this puts this rumour to bed that hes leavin sunderland once and for all !" wat so he is leavin u got that right u horrible speciman of a human (mackem)

Agree1 Disagree2

You spelt mistakes wrong

Agree3 Disagree0

Nout to shout about are you taking the mick m8 demba ba is class cabaye sometimes starts for the french team so he must be good must be better than s**** cattermole and marveaux seams to be better than el muhammady and malbronque so proved u wrong there m8 and have you signed anyone em . . . NO! will you ? yes but probably unheard of or championship :)

Agree0 Disagree2

I no i spelt misteaks wrong you loon that's why i put ha after it ! these sites are about football banter not spelling mistakes ! if you have got nowt
( sorry nothing ) more interesting to say go to bed , its getting late !

Agree1 Disagree0

As i said mate wait until we sign players before you start bitching ! ! can't see cabaye , marveaux or demba ba having the same presence on the field as carroll , nolan or barton if he goes !

To the people thinking Vicente would be a good signing, he wouldn't. He's been riddled with injuries in recent years and I don't see the need to take a third risk in buying such an injury prone player. This time 5 years ago I'd have sent a letter to the manager myself to buy him but now, aged 29(?) and blighted by injuries sadly, along with high wage demands I should imagine, it would be a silly signing.

IF they're looking for another winger- Boudebouz, Martin, N'Zogbia would be much better options.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

He sounds right up our street then being riddled with injuries. Never known another club that buys such injury prone players ! !

Agree5 Disagree0

Youve bought 2 injury riddled players already so whats another one?

vincente coming in on a free from valencia on a 4yr deal, meaning we won't go for zog, toon board disappointed with his wage demands reportedly 75k+ after saying his dream move is back to newcastle to show how he has matured. everton are trying to snatch our deal for N.taylor as they have come to terms with the fact baines is on his way out, they will also fight for the signature of warnock with us.

Do you know how old Vicente is? I highly doubt, should he come to Newcastle, that he would sign a 4 year deal.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

21 Jun 2011 13:03:04
forget nzogbia surely weve just signed a left mid and have ferguson as back up. .jonas on his way. .del

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Ferguson looks like he could be a good prospect but look at last game of the season against chelsea. we brought on lua lua and young ameobi and both looked fast and tricky so maybe they will also force their way in this term. zog acting like a mercenary so not welcome

Agree1 Disagree1

Im pretty sure we played wba 3-3

Agree1 Disagree0

Either way look at chelsea game and the impact those 2 made. that was my point not when it was played.

Not a rumour just thought i would mention since football manager has been mentioned today, how wierd is this, my current line up for newcastle on fm 2011 is as follows; GK- Ochoa/krul RB- Simpson/Walker CB- Collo/dann/s taylor LB- enrique/van aarnholt RM- gutierrez/marveux CM- barton/tiote/cabaye/skjielbred LM- ben arfa/nzogbia ST- gamiero/carroll/van wolfswinkel/lukaku. Also got a few random young 'uns to build up the squad. Im in my 4th season now challenging for top 4 finishes, hopefully a sign of things to come eh! Like i say not a rumour just thought it was a bit wierd :) maybe i should apply to be the next toon talent spotter.

Valencia winger Vicente expects to join a Premier League club on a free transfer this summer and will make a decision on his future in the next few days.

The 29-year-old is out of contract with Valencia at the end of this month after 11 years with the Primera Liga side.

Blackburn, Newcastle and top-flight newcomers Swansea have all been linked with a swoop for the former Spain international.

And Vicente admits he "desires to play in the Premier League" and is close to reaching a deal.

He told Spanish newspaper Superdeporte: "In a few days I will decide my future and it will be in England."

Vicente has notched up almost 250 appearances for Valencia since arriving from boyhood side Levante back in 2000

Believable2 Unbelievable1

He'll prob join blackburn seems like their kind of player.

Lets not go overboard. I can't see this mass cull happening. We need players who know the club to stay. Cant just go out and replace everyone. I started getting a bit worried that things don't seem to happening on the bringing in front. Free's and Nolan out Cabaye in. Guthrie, Perch, Routledge, Ranger can all go. I want Colo & Jonas to stay. Squad depth anyway because this Marveaux could get a knock at anytime. Hope things are being thought through at St James' and not just thinking we have money to burn so lets go out and get anyone (Wellbeck- don't want, C.Cole- this rumour needs kicked out again). Lets get a big named striker in and settle everyone down! Psycho

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Its all ok getting rid of dead wood or players who not up to it or don't want to be at the club but still gotta replace them and add others on top as last season we had one of the smallest squads and it cost us when we had injuries!

Agree1 Disagree1

21 Jun 2011 11:32:19
cant see nufc buying players from top 6 prem clubs cos we will be unlikely to be able to afford their wages. .ie bendtner, adebeyor, berbatov and sturridge.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Yeah but they are all fringe players looking for regular football and to prove they have what it takes to push a team on, berbatov was unreal last season then sir alex just didn't play him, would have been a different champs league final with his experience, hernandez didn't have a touch and was offside 7/8 times

Agree0 Disagree1

Bendtner is only on £55,000 a week. Easily affordable with Nolan gone and props Enrique, Jonas and Baron off the wage bill!

Agree1 Disagree0

Who in gods name wants Bendtner, he's is awful (and has a massive ego). No Ta!

Agree2 Disagree1

And as shown he can score goals at all levels and would walk into most if not all other premier sides and cpould turn out to be a great signing and great goal scorer if he is given a run of games

Agree0 Disagree0

You must be either be really bored and seek the attention, or you are playing Football manager 2011 right now (probably for Tottenham, as you are clearly not a NUFC fan).

Believable0 Unbelievable1

100% won't be signing from real madrid or barcelona or any other teams in that bracket cos these type of players cost too much to buy and pay

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Jun 2011 11:28:29
I'd rather see Enrique go to Arsenal than Liverpool, or failing that Barca. Liverpool keep sniffing around are players and it winds me up.

Not sure about Gibbs, he's class and that but a bit of a sick note. I'd rather we got Bains or someone.

Also, I heard a rumour that we're in for Benjamin Moukandjo from Monnaco, but their squad is threadbare at the moment so they may not want to sell.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

21 Jun 2011 11:06:15
Just heard that Sunderland are trying to sign Sol Campbell on a free. He wants to stay in the North East. Sunderland are also looking at Billy Sharp, Rose from Spurs and James Perch

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Was wonderin wen this stupid rumour bout campbell would reach your site its nearly as believable as yous getin etoo !

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Hope we don't get c.cple as he's not exactly on fire is he! better players out there who would be in the same price bracket and play more games than sick note cole! bendtner would prob be in same bracket and maybe kalou!

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Ha its just Sunderland fans fretting that he will have to much quality for them.

You do realise if you believe every story linking a player away from us you have to believe every story linking a player to us.

There will not be a mass exodus this summer.

N'zogbia will not be signing for toon. He's now meeting with arsenal and spurs.
If he goes to spurs then bale will complete his move to city and Johnson and swp will both leave- both are already on toons radar. It's also been mooted that should Johnson go to Liverpool then Joe cole could be a target (I hope this is not true).
Newcastle still haven't given up on seb larsson but it is likely he will join sunderland. Prepared to up his wage offer as he is free anyway.
Other names receny circulating-
Yossi benayoun
Palacios - swap deal
Bassong
Kaboul - both more likely to go to France
Bendtner
Gibbs - both used in swap for Enrique
Richard dunne
Hoillet
Wayne bridge
Clint Dempsey
Scott brown
Gera

Believable3 Unbelievable4

Unbelievable Newcastle ended there intrest in Larsson in January. Joe Cole is not a target also only one of Bassong and Kaboul will be leaving Spurs and it will be Bassong. Dunne, Benayoun and Bridge again aren't targets whilst Newcastle want cash for Enrique. Arsenal and Spurs have not contacted Wigan.
