just a little question open 4 debate ( not a wind up or bein malicious )
would yous prefer 2 finish in top 6 and qualify 4 europe or get 2 the final of the fa cup and qualify 4 europe ?
not bein presumptious on either just thort it wud b interestin 2 get sum views !
wud just like 2 hav a bit of a debate so no replies bout spelling or " u must b a makem " plz !

Its a debate between sunderland and newcastle fans mate 2 get opinions from both sets of fans !

The post i put in about spelling mistake i put in a joke the guy spells geordie ( jawdee ) he seen it as a laugh ...was'nt meant to be as deep as your making it m8 ...banter page people can have a sence of humour thats what this forum is all about init...geordie tom

I would take top 6 especially if it was top 4. Teams are judged over the season. Cup final days are good days out though. But would take a top 6 finish. {Ed003's Note - But winning the cup creates history,in 20 years would you remember a cup winning team or a team that finished sixth ? }

Think its a case of 6 and 2 3's. while yes it would be nice to win a cup what the point if you end up relegated (brimingham)
And while getting into the top 4/6 is also an achievment whats the point when you dont win anything (Arsenal) think the only way you can measure the acheivements of either is by where the club goes after it achieves them. does the club push on and continue to improve and push for higher titles or do they fade away and become a distant memory {Ed003's Note - Good point,but I would still go for the glory of winning an FA cup myself }

Win a cup and get into Europe OR get a top six finish and get into Europe?
Now let me think....... do I really have to answer a no-brainer?
As Ed says a cup win goes into history for all time (even better with which to wind up Mackems in later years!) - sixth place is soon forgotten.

Defo win the cup , being realistic, as much as it would be nice to finish top 6 we won't exactly be partying in the streets over it right. And Geordie Tom, i don't even think he was talking about you in the original post... touchy much?? Jawdee Scott.

To be honest in order to merit the success you need to do both. win a cup to go into the history books, but also finish top 6 to show that that cup was not just the luck of the draw or a good run of games and that you truley deserve to be in europe. you look at it from a players point of view you want to play for a team that is moving in the right direction. this would motivate players to stay and appeal to any potential signings

The poster didn't mention the scores in the last 2 meeting simply reminded of the recent scores and stated that Cattermong(like that name) was actually in Tiote's pocket. SMB.

Sunderland are still 9points behind us and we've been playing without Ba, Cabaye and Tiote...

In the last 3 league matches against each other Sunderland have scored 2 and we've scored erm... that would be 8!

Van Persie has scored more than him and we stopped him 2 games running. Don't even bother comparing Ba to Persie!

Who compared Ba to Van Persie. Completely different type of forward. One thing for sure is Ba is better than anything you have got!! SMB Come the 4th you will witness that first hand.

Take away ba threat and you struggling for goals whereas sunderland have goal threats every position
