i've done some calculations.
say if pardew was on 25k a week or 40k a week, to sack him it would cost max 9.1m (if he was on 25k a week) and if he was on 40k a week it would cost max 14.1m. Do you think those are good guesses on how much wages pardew is on ed?
i could see him being sacked if we scrape off relegation by the skin of our teeth. {Ed003's Note - It wouldn't work like that,if that scenario happens a compromise would be negotiated.}

I'm sure Ashley will have some contingency plan in the contract such as he only has to pay 12 or 18 months if he were to sack pardew, he's not stupid and will have drawn up the contract with a plan b and c in mind, which is more than can be said about pardew when he draws up his team sheet.

As I cannot get tickets for any of the last 4 games, I have a request for some of the people who are going to some of the games and agree with me on this.
Get a massive banner that's very noticable, saying:

"Laurent Blanc, come and join the French revolution. "

Or something like that, as long as its signifying pardew to be sacked and we want blanc.

And I actually think, as long as we give some sort of notice to ashley, he could sack pardew in the summer.
Think about it,
People critisize ashley for not having any ambition, but in actual fact, I think he has more than pardew. Last season, ashley said he wants newcastle in the CL. Yesterday pardew said we should target top 10 next season.
Here's some other reasons:
1) for those who saw pardews post interview against Wba. Did anyone notice that he was unusually quiet and red about being happy with a point. I think he's afraid, I reckon ashley or llambias have given him a warning. Yes pardew got us to 5th and wasn't backed in the summer, well he has in January so he is expected to climb us up the table. Look at our results, he hasn't exactly done that, and he's also got us embarrassed and humiliated in the Derby.
2) we were 11th when hughton was in charge, and everyone was happy, but then he was sacked, but there was no spat or argument between hughton and ashley, so it was because ashley wanted us higher up the table. And we're 16th and its way past December.
3) Ashley is a very good buisnessmen, and although he has made mistakes, I really don't think he's stupid enough to not put any clauses in an 8yr contract. Anyway, pardew will be on a low wage compared to most managers and it would probably cost max 12m to get rid of pardew, if there was no clauses.
4) ashley doesn't know as much about football as we do, but to watch us playing boring football and losing all the time must be very frustrating for him.
5) if ashley does know that blanc hasn't got a job, then maybe he's already lining him up as a clear replacement, mainly because he is French will may send a clear message to ashley to get him in.

I do think blanc would be the man for us, he's someone everyone would love as he makes the French connection, could give this club a lift, give us some excitement and he could be the final piece in the French revolution jigsaw.
Just try and get some sort of message that we don't pardew, we want blanc.
Cheers.

By all means get a massive banner but for heavens sake spell it correctly, we are still laughing at the "Boycoutt" banner. ha ha.

Agree0 Disagree0

Keep pardew he's doing a good job under the circumstances

Agree0 Disagree0

Person, how would a banner help the team have confidence and get the result we need? IF and it is a BIG IF we are safe by the last game of the season then do it otherwise let him get on with the job.

Agree0 Disagree0

We have had the worst injury list I can think of in many many season in the prem. Any manager who was missing the amount of players we were missing would struggle at any time. Even when we bought players in January, we were still missing first teamers then.

The fact is we did not strenghten in the Summer, and this fact will not have been wasted on Ashley. Ok we gained extra revenue from Europa League games, but it cost us league positions and ultimately the amount of money we will receive for our finishing position.

Pardew will be in charge next season, and we will sign players in the Summer. We will be better next season without an injury list as long as your arm, without our star striker having a release clause in his contact and without our captain wanting to leave due to personal reasons.

We will sign a new striker or maybe two and maybe a few others, and we will also lose a first teamer or maybe two! but we will be stronger next season and we can actually put a team out.

If Pardew is sacked, then hopefully the new manager will not have the Voodoo esk cursed season we had this year and will actually be able to get on with the job.

Pardew is only on 5k per week which means it would only cost 1.8 million to cancel the 7 years. In football turns that is nothing. {Ed004's Note - I'm pretty sure he will be on a bit more than that tbh. That sunds very low}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I thought all newcastle contracts were incentive based, so hel pick up a bonus for keeping us up, and depending on league position and how we do in cups

Agree0 Disagree0

If it would cost 5mil max, i'm defo confident that ashley would bite the bullet and hopefully get in blanc.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nowt in bonus, s then

Agree0 Disagree0

5k the coaches are on that ffs.

Well I think Pardew has lost the faith of the fans. I for 1 can't stand his interviews anymore. Same old rubbish. To be honest I can't even be bothered to complain anymore.

Oh my god. Listen to pardews interviews, he is utterly clueless, negative and has no ambition! "I'm happy with the point and we played very well. " I'm sorry what? We played well, Yh maybe in the first half, but second we played for a draw. Even gouffy said we should of got the win.
But this is when I cracked, when I read this:
Pardew-"Next season, we can target finishing top 10"
And "we want to try and finish above sunderland"
Wtf? Top 10 even though we finished 5th? Where is your ambition? You want to finish above sunderland? Do you not know anything about this club? It's not just finishing above them, its taking 6 points from them as well.

I for one, had stuck behind pardew till sunderland. The bubble has finally burst. We are going through torture. I wasn't even feeling neither excited or nervous for Wba, because I'm used it. It's so painful watching us play. The amount of players underperforming e.g tiote, cisse, cabaye, mbiwa even. Pardew doesn't know how to get the best out of every player. I looked at the table for the amount of hoofball, and we're top which is disgusting and its never worked, listen to this:
When we played hoofball a lot in a game, we lost 2-0 to southampton, 1-0 to west ham, 1-1 villa, 2-2 with Everton, 1-1 3-0 with sunderland. And even when we switched to our favourite 433 and 4231, we still played hoofball.
I read somewhere, one of our former players said that, Newcastle have played route 1 all season and its never worked. Pardew has always been a route one manager.

Exactly! He's clueless. Especially when a journalist asked him, what about you not scoring from a corner all season? He just said, yes I will look at that at the end of the season. but we only really have Taylor and Willo and ameobi who are tall.
You'll look at that at the end of season? You should of looked at that ages ago. Only Taylor and Willo and ameobi are tall? i'm pretty sure cisse, gouffran can jump up to head the ball. Why don't you put faith in them?

You are utterly clueless, and you are taking this club backwards.
Cmon ashley just bite the bullet and sack pardew in the summer, and get in laurent blanc, someone who can connect with this club, is ambitious, can get a team playing attractive attacking football, can get the best out of our French lads, and average players, take this club to its rightful top 8 position, its true position-debuchy

Great post.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree mate, I really do think ashley might sack pardew, here's some reasons why:
1) Glenn roader, sam allardyce, chris hughton have all been sacked for not finishing high enough in the prem.
2) Ashley wants us to be in the champions league, although it may not look like it.
3) Even with new signings we've carried on failing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolute nonsense Ashley knows he will never find another JFK or Pardew to deflector the criticism
Run of the mill is his guture aim possible top 10 if that
Until Ashley pack his bags & takes his circus with him it will continue like this

Sell & buy at half of what we tale in
NUFC needs to reinvent it's self after Ashley has gone
He has for over 5 years made this club
a joke and into a wee club

Agree0 Disagree0

Amazing that a team playing more and more like Stoke, can't score from corners. There the similarity ends I suppose.

Laurent Blanc, come and revive this great club's Europa league ambitions in the summer. You can become our longest serving manager.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Until in his first season he finishes 5th gets manager of the year and in his second 16th and everyone wants him sacked.

Agree0 Disagree0

Welcome to Newcastle we will get behind you if you do well if we aren't in the top 5 you get the sack clueless fans

Agree0 Disagree0

1st season was one off. Laurent Blanc is a top quality manager pardew is not.

Agree0 Disagree0

3rd post, you're right! except we're not clueless and our ambitions is top 8. its high expectations I know, but its what we deserve at this great football club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you honestly think blanc would come do me a favour
