Alan Pardew keeps saying ` trust me` and `believe me` and so we have. Now he needs to listen to us and either change his coaching staff, Carver/Stone or walk. We have conceded the most goals in our premier league history, failed to even register anything on target from corners, and played the most boring one up front hoofball I have seen in 45yrs of following the Toon. Tactics, playing players out of position, no plan A never mind plan B, a squad of footballers who have to watch the ball sail over their heads in a game for 90 minutes. I may get shot down here but Kevin Keegan would have had an attractive flair side with entertainment WITH our current squad of players. Relegation? We were close, very close, and that is a disgrace. Get our players playing football on the floor, get our fitness levels up and for 52,000 loyal supporters, give us a run in the domestic cups because all Pardew and Ashleys hopes of getting in the champions league are a pipe dream. Wigan and Swansea are our domestic cup holders because the big boys are not interested in the competitions, let's have a go at them please. With either Pardew and a new coaching staff or hopefully a football playing manager.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Keegan walked twice! He is the past, gone forget about him, football has moved on. I would rather have Lee Clark

It makes me sad that if Freddy shephard didn't listen to a certain pocket of fans being fickle and wanting sir bobby out, he would of carried on for another few years and I actually reckon that we'd be in a better position before relegation, champions league probably. Without his illness, can't remember what it was, but if he didn't have that illness and shephard wasn't so stupid, I reckon he'd be our longest serving manager and I think we would be fighting 4th or 3rd by now if we still had him and shephard. He got us playing mouthwatering football, got the best out of every player. Oh how I wish we have a manager that we still love despite not doing as well as previously, someone like fergie.

JMW

Agree0 Disagree0

Sir Bobby was a genius a great man, I'm a mackem and he was highly thought of by us we respected him. We sang he's name.

If it wasn't for bobby people like Mourinho wouldn't exist in management as Sir Bobby gave him an apprenticeship.

If he was at Newcastle for say ten years Bobby would of made you great. I would of loved him at Sunderland the man had class, never disrespected us or anyone a true gent the opposite or Pardew. Wasn't just a Mr nice guy though he was a great manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks for the nice write up, he was indeed a great great man, sadly missed and well remembered.

Some predictions for transfer activity in the summer and other changes for general debate:

1. Mbiwa is our best left-back. He'll play there mostly next season.
2. Santon will be moved forward to left sided midfield to replace Jonas, who will leave or become a squad player.
3. Colo will stay (risky prediction that on eh? Just a hunch).
4. We'll go after an experienced Premier League centre back - I'll go with Jagielka as my prediction of first choice but there is always Samba or Collins.
5. We'll re-sign Carroll with an inquiry about Lukaku as back up.
6. We'll sign a young promising right back in the mould of Haidara.
7. Tiote will be sold. He's had a bad season and looks demoralised - needs a new start.

That'll do for now. Sensible debate and opinion please, not just Pardew / Ashley hating.

DomW.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

1. Santon will be our left back.
2. Mbiwa will play alongside taylor and we will by another CB.
3. Colo will go as his wife has already gone back to Argentina months ago.
4. Not sure which CB we will sign. What about Douglas?
5. think we will go after carrol but only at Ashley price.
6. we need a natural wide man. I would look at Sinclair or Mcmanamn.
7. Tiote won't be going anywhere. I would worry more about Cabeye.

Agree0 Disagree0

Samba and Collins won't sign if we get CB it will be Sakho, When we have pardew santon will never be LW

Agree0 Disagree0

Hooray! A post about transfers, not slagging off Pardew! Long may it continue thus!

Agree0 Disagree0

Stop reading Roy of the Rovers and
read Ashley!s Bulls. t and Pardews
Schoolboy football
Geez some fans are just stupid

Agree0 Disagree0

Although he doesn't fit our policy we should be looking at Kolo Toure if Colo leaves, bags of experience and available on a free other good CB's out of contract are Fernando Amorebieta, Douglas and Tomas Hubocan.

Would love to see us sign Thomas Ince to give us some creativity but can't think of many strikers to sign other than Carroll or Remy I think we missed our chance to sign PEA who no doubt will sign for a team playing in the champions league or at least the Europa league after such a good season.

Agree0 Disagree0

What makes you think Jonas will be sold or dropped, he's played nearly every minute of every game he's been available and been terrible in 80% of them

Agree0 Disagree0

Samba - I can't see him taking a pay cut to come to us. Isn't he on 110,000 a week?

Agree0 Disagree0

Like previous TFX and having fingers burnt by Remey Newcastles transfer will be done and dusted just like in January before we know about them. WE can not compete for players sigantures and EVERY club knows that.

We have created a wait and see scenerio and that also applies to football on the field.

We miust be one of only a few clubs in the bottom 10 of the Premiership with an owner that thinks he is bigger than the game itself and that is Newcastles downfall.

See Spurs what they do this Summer and act on their finish this season I bet they don't bury their heads in the sand like Ashley did. We deserve and will get nothing withn this oaf and his 2 Clowns in charge.

Which striker (s) do you think nufc will sign this summer?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Hopefully Aubameyang and Remy I would like. But I can see us getting carroll and aubameyang or remy

Agree0 Disagree0

Weimann?

Agree0 Disagree0

We won't get Carroll, Ashley won't pay what Liverpool want.

Has anyone else noticed certain words that Pardew keeps using? He says "trust me" and "believe me" all the time! Sounds like a man who is asking fans to have faith in him like God or something, seems a strange to keep using that kind of language. Plus why does he keep blaming "depth of squad" when you can only register 25? So what he really means is the players are not good enough, as about 80% of the players at the club finnished 5th last year?! Also does anyone know if there has been another team that has not scored from a corner in a season?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The words you never here from Pardew. " sorry I have made mistakes, I have to take the blame ".

Agree0 Disagree0

Partly right and partly wrong. First eleven OK (no more than that) but back-up nowhere near good enough. Last season's best runs came when the first-choice players were consistently fit. And I've seen Pardew admit mistakes - too b****y often.

Agree0 Disagree0

That doesn't make any sense? After our first 11 (whoever you count in the first 11) we have probably a stronger 25 man squad than last season.

probably going to get shot down in flames here? But let's just think what might have happened if we had got remy through the door? 6 goals for a very poor QPR side, just think he might have got 7 or 8 for us?? how many more points would that have gave us?. pardew must get a striker through the door in the summer or face another nightmare season.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Looking at Pardew's tactics, even if we had getting Remy he would have mostly stuck him out on one of the wings or at full back because that is how clueless he is.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets stop looking over our shoulder at the past and look forward to a bright future next two months are going to be very interesting with a few suprises or we wouldn't be THE TOON

Agree0 Disagree0

Its hard not to look over our shoulder under Pardew. I think it will be the same unless he goes or he gets emergency lesson in managing a club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Our players look slow and unfit, there is very little movement off the ball apart from walking, we talk about having great players but I don't see many playing greatly first touch is average, passing is average and shooting is terrible its either over the bar or miles wide or soft, if the players are good then the training staff are no good. what is needed a strong manager. class backroom staff and players who want to win (if they don't want to train hard. get rid). we have 2 months to turn it all aroundn and it needs to start this week Des Toon

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Pardew will be given another chance, but I wouldn't be surprised if we did get a few technical coaches who work on tactics and set pieces and fitness. Players have been tired, lacking confidence. Playing like swansea, requires massive work rate from the players, whereas we have not been able to get good work rate out of players as a result players lacking confidence and fitnesss so just hoof it up the field. as much as I've been annoyed with how the teams played and stupid results and stupid team selection and decisions made by pardew, I do not believe that pardew actually tells the team and trains the players to play hoofball, we've seen sparks this season, of the newcastle we saw last season, e.g chelsea, arsenal first half, fulham home, southampton,. ba came out and said we work on possession in training, ad pardew said we have a small team, so why play hoofball?

JMW

Agree0 Disagree0

We don't have to play like Swansea to keep the ball on the ground. Do Swansea have better players than us? The coaching staff hasn't really changed since our 5th place finish. Pardew picks the team and the tactics so its his fault we had an awful season. Get him out.

Agree0 Disagree0

Des and JMW talking sense, but 3rd post nonsense. Do you really not understand that injuries + Europe + weak squad = poor results in Prem? You 'Pardew outers' haven't a clue - any of you got a UEFA coaching qualification? And who do you think Ashley would appoint in Pardew's place - Mourinho? Grow up. Pardew, or another like him, will be as good as you are likely to see. Rafa, you say? Well, where's the EVIDENCE that he's coming?

Agree0 Disagree0

Its always grow up or Pardew haters when pro Pardew don't like what is clear to everyone else. What has playing people out of position, playing long ball football and getting tactically everything wrong not to mention using the same changes constantly and playing Jonas every week in ever position so he doesn't have to take him off got to do with injuries an Europe. I don't need a qualification to see this. Yes we have had injuries but so have other teams. Take your head out of your ass and see what is obvious to everyone else.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jonas was having another shocker yesterday. What does Pardew do. He takes off Goufran even though he looked dangerous and leaves Jonas on. He then takes off Mbwia who was arguable our best player on the day, moves Jonas to left back just to keep him on. Tactically inept.

Agree0 Disagree0

You could say that pardew is a one season wonder, but that's the equivalent Of saying he's a one bad season manager. Why don't you give him a chance with new coaches and players. You can't judge him at the moment. Give him till December. Don't be fickle like chelsea. Stability is what we need to be a top 6 club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why can't we judge him? You need to give your head a shake. He nearly got us relegated playing the way he has. New coaches says who? Pardew raves about the backroom staff. This is the best squad we have had in years and look what he does with it. It's not fickle to worry about your club under this leadership. Get him out now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Question. The Pardew haters as we are called are offering good reason to why he should go. Why should he stay? What does he look like he can do to deserve this chance you keep banging on about?

Agree0 Disagree0

Stability is all well and good under good guidance but not under a clueless inept tactition. Its like giving a job to someone who can't do it hoping the longer he does it the better he will become.

Agree0 Disagree0

He nearly got us relegated, but nearly got us into champions league.

Alan Pardew quoted in the local paper as saying. "It was a shame we didn't have a bit more punch from the bench in terms of a Shola or a Sissoko, but that's the story of our season. A bit more punch and Shola in the same sentence. Pardew please just get out of the club you are clueless.

its still on RAFA to LE TOON porky pies out

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Rafa is not coming to the toon, he is going to everton.

Agree0 Disagree0

Already said he is not going to Everton.

Agree0 Disagree0

God, how I wish Rafa would come to this club. I was an AP (e) apologist for a while but the man is either deluded or stupid or lying. Perhaps all 3.

Right, now that this terrible season is over, we can start planning for next season. It's a season to forget. We've been put through hell, but now we can focus on next season. We need to get some new technical coaches in, about 4-7 new players while getting rid of all the deadwood. We need to work o. Set pieces because I cannot actually believe we haven't scored straight from a corner. We need to work on fitness as well. Next season we should be targeting AT LEAST 10th, 9th and push for 8th and 7th. Everyone have learnt their lessons, and now I believe we will come back a lot stronger next season.

JMW

Believable0 Unbelievable0

What lesson have we learnt other Pardew is a one season wonder. Time for him to admit he hasn't the ability to take us forward and resign. Saying that, not a chance of this happening as he can't even take any responsibility for this disaster of a season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Give AP till december see what happens, see what he can do.

Moyes did terrible in his second season at everton, fergie nearly got the sack!

hooneymoor off last year is over, season gone has been a totally different story. Injuries, suspensions, attitude problems, wrong team choices, no board backing at the start and didn't add in the summer.

It wasn't just AP, end of the day we have played over 30 something players in the league this year, and not one of them had a clue. exceptions of cabaye

Agree0 Disagree0

It's the managers job to get the best out of his players, to play them in a style and tactic that will get the best out of them. Pardew cannot do either. He needs to go.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with 3rd post, coaches will be bought in and replaced, so will players. I say if we're not 10th, 9th, 8th of higher then sack him, but we need stability.

10 goals conceded in last 3 Home matches NONE scored NO points & Oardew still manager Disaster

Ashley your are a w. er and a disgrace to NUFC & all football

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Been to all of the last 3 home games and I reckon we have managed 4/5 half chances in them. Shocking.
