Simpson saying he is not being greedy over a new deal, he just wants to be on par with other players around him.
He has stated he wants to stay at the club, but if he wants to stay so much, why doesnt he just sign?
I doubt that what we have offered him will see him go poor.
These are the kind of players we need to get OUT of the club. One of the biggest reasons for success is we have players who want to play for the club.
I hope we dont offer him a new deal, get a good 3/4 million for a very average player

I think he deserves a new deal and he earns it (as much as a footballer does). Compare what we are offering him to what we paid Michael Owen to stay at home and play with his ponies. I'd give him something similar to Stephen Taylor rather than offering him Williamson money

I read that hes on £10,000 at the moment and we've offered him £25,000, how much does he actually think hes worth am sure Cabaye's on less than £30,000 and hes a french international, if simo not happy with the deal been offered then thanks for the last couple of years, but we dont need money greedy players

I personally do not think that we have offered simpson less the money that what the other defenders are on....i know colo was on real good money as we bought a few seasons ago belived to be 80k ish but who knows...think he,s getting above himself and believes all the hype on how good a season he has....look what happend to bassong,beye,distin etc where are they now all left for bigger and better things if simpson goes it will be villa,qpr possible fulham etc ...
