Getting a little nervous now we into the business end of the transfer window, there is sure to be a major bid going in for one of our top players. We will then see how much resistance Mr.Ashley has would personally be happy for the window to be shut now.

It's your friendly neighbourhood farmer here...just to let you know the toon have increased their order of eggs today. Wonder if they are needing to cater for a new arrival. This is 'breaking' news guys....:-) Could be a 'cracking' arrival. This is no 'yolk' btw. Pardew could of possibly been 'egging' Ashley on to make a signing.

Believable2 Unbelievable6

Well your striker coming in rumour was a bad egg eggman, so you owe us a good one .

Agree1 Disagree0

Ova and out

Agree2 Disagree0

Ed can you clarify if his is the real egg man or just some douche pretending to be him? His wording is different to how the egg man usually posts.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats quite n ouef of the egg jokes.

Col

Agree3 Disagree0

This is no yolk??

Grandad jokes eh.

Agree0 Disagree0

It sounds like the same person, Pretending to be some farmer that cooks eggs for players is not what i would call Charlton Brooker or Frankie boyle funny.

i get the feeling nufc are wanting to sell one of their big stars, every day different reports linking tiote to man c,arsenal, chelsea and man u plus reports today bayern and inter now interested, i think tiote is being touted and linked to these clubs to force a bidding war,the signing of anita does nothing to dispell my fears.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

I agree ,Pards really doesn't have to keep mentioning it at press confrences.I think by now everyone knows MA will only sell for a shedload of cash.

Agree2 Disagree0

I must say it is worrying that Pardew is constantly referring to how vunerable NUFC are to outside bids. You dont hear any of the other managers mention this ! I wonder why he feels the need to constantly highlight this.

Agree3 Disagree0

Does seem that it keeps getting a mention almost like he is brining it to everyone's attention , I will be amazed if we don't loose a top player in this window .

Agree2 Disagree0

Just cos he says they're vulnerable doesn't mean they're definitely going to sell. He's just saying that if their valuation is met, they'll be powerless to resist. But their valuations are ridiculously over priced and no team with a brain will agree to those prices. The only way our top players will leave are through desperation bids at the last second, similar to Carroll. So yes we are vulnerable, but only to ridiculous offers that no other team is willing to make.

Agree4 Disagree1

When it comes to transfers the top 4 tend not to have a brain. Oh and the Liverfools, they're not too smart either when it comes to signing players.

With erik pieters looking like he may sign does than mean santon maybe on his way out?

Gto

Believable1 Unbelievable6

No way! simpson is though mate, he has refused to sign a contact, Santon can play LB or RB

Agree1 Disagree3

SImpson going nowhere Ashley is tight
and that us the end if it 20m a Year in his
Pocket why change a good thing
The penny will eventually drop for the nieve
fans

Agree1 Disagree0

Simpson told TalkSport he's going nowhere and that he and Pards are good mates. Pieters was at the game as part of a birthday bash

Agree2 Disagree0

Well hopefully we can get him to sign a contract then? otherwise he goes for free next summer!

Anyone think Adam Johnson would be worth a purchase to compete with Gutierrez as he's pushing towards 30, he's young & city don't need the money. I think Marveux could be good playing a more central role?

Am I the only one who doesn't want to see Carroll return? He left us for a team on the decline (regardless pf what happened, he had just signed a new 5 year deal, he could have stayed) and we've changed our style of play. We prefer to keep the ball than lump it forward and try and get a head on it! So I don't see any need for him. We could get in a good, cheaper alternative who actually fits into our system!

Believable8 Unbelievable2

Finally, somthing said that i fully agree with. I really want to see them bring in someone with real pace who can play across the front.

Agree4 Disagree2

I agree i dont want carrol, however did u watch the spurs game?? All we did was hit it long the majority of time

Agree4 Disagree2

For the right price I would like to see him back, We are playing a lot of long balls into the forwards and having Carroll as an option could do no harm.

BTW. Carroll was sold before he agreed terms with Liverpool, The key word being SOLD.

Agree3 Disagree2

The ball is still being lumped forward, The only difference is that the ball is being lumped forward into Cisse and Ba's feet instead of in the air towards the strikers head.

Agree3 Disagree1

The ball was lumped forward because of the amount of space between the demba's and the midfield, if he reverts to 4-2-3-1 that will change.
Terms need to be agreed before a deal is finalised.

Agree1 Disagree0

I think we played longer balls to Ba and Cissee because of the lack of fitness/game time for Cabaye, he was playeing 20 yards further back than normal and not as involved. Hopefully in the next week or so his match fitness levels we will see the Cabaye of last season. Don't forget Cabaye, Tiote and HBA were all doubtful earlier in the week for the game. With regard to a striker I would prefer a more mobil striker like a Remy or Defoe hba type of player who can work the channels and take on and attack players.

Agree2 Disagree0

I'm hoping Amalfitano can develop into Ben Arfa's role, In Carr we trust

Agree0 Disagree0

We were playing longer balls last season too, Most of our football revolves around Cabaye getting on the ball and whipping the ball forward. This is not something new that happened at Tottenham.

Another season and 1 game we are 125/1 to win the league Liverpool 20/1!! Now I know we ain't gonna win the league but I wouldn't have a pound on Liverpool to win a raffle! Ha ha ladbrokes u make me laugh!

Believable11 Unbelievable0

You ve written us scousers off already, i bet mr pardew hasnt

tom1975

Agree0 Disagree8

Yep, you are correct every football fan in the country has written the scousers off, can see what you can't. Liverpool are poor. They will finish lower than last season.
New manager, new style, players have no idea what they are meant to be doing/wrong players for style. Important players (last season) leaving, replaced by average/overrated players.
Rodgers will be sacked by Xmas, as the fans are already on his back after 1 game, fat forward 15 games, and he'll be gone.

Agree8 Disagree0

Liverpool

Agree0 Disagree5

Bring back KK everybody luvs him (from every other club) Liverpuddles.
No replies it want me I didnt do it blah blah same old story yawn

Agree3 Disagree0

Tom 1975- if you think Liverpool stand a chance of winning the league you need your head looked at! Liverpool are trying to change and at the the moment your closer to a championship side not champion side.

Agree3 Disagree0

I seen that in ladbrookes window liverpool being 20/1 to win the league so i stood there n thought ok if i had 20 quid on that that would mean i stand to win ........ nothing i would b 20 quid down haha

Agree1 Disagree0

Think the price for liverpool being so short is down to the daft scouser who has 22k e/w at 25s them to win the league that must go down as one of the worst bets placed for a long time
