I think our best young stars we've got are:
Bigirimana-he's got potential to be a world class player has produced some good performances.
Adam Campbell-local lad I can see him being a long term servant at this club. His playing style reminds me of jermain defoe, the type of striker we need.
Sammy Ameobi-has been playing well for middlesborough but lacks consistency, although he seems like a good flair player, but he hadn't got the best stamina.
Haidara-strong, quick LB has a bright future on tyneside. I hope santon becomes a winger so that massadio can get some experience and hopefully become our starting left back
Alnwick-very promising young keeper he'll be 3rd choice next season, looks good.
Haris vuckic-has a bright future. Good flair but can't really see a long term future for him at Newcastle.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Problem is we do not have the coaches or the manager to bring them through. Look at the shambles of last season with defending and goalscoring. First teamer's are on mega bucks and must be able to do better than last season. The youngsters have NO ONE to look up to apart from a few quality players we have who should be helping their development.
Get the coaching right and you will see players breaking through.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sammy is ok but whether he will be any better than his brother is debateable.
Vuckic is ok but bit slow and hasn't set the world on fire in his brief appearences
Campbell. can't understand why Pards didn't give hime more time last season
Alnwich looks solid
Bigi love him to bits

Agree0 Disagree0

Sammy will be like his brother, Never a first team regular, bit part earning money for no talent. Give him to Boro and see if we can get one of their prospects.

Hi i'm a sunderland fan i'm not here to cause any trouble but seriously it can't only be us mackems that thinks that jesmond geordie needs to sober up.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I've never heard anything like it, he should make a blog even though the stuff he comes out with is ridiculous it's fascinating and amusing how delusional he actually is.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think he really means what he says. Just enjoying the banter between the two clubs. Harmless and funny.

Agree0 Disagree0

Another mackem in peace here but god that lad needs locking up, I suppose us and you lot need something to laugh at after the rubbish seasons we had! Jesmond Geordie keep it up as we all laughing at you!

Agree0 Disagree0

Jesmond gets Kudos from me if he is winding the Mackems up that good.

Agree0 Disagree0

He isn't winding us mackems up he is giving us a real laugh about you lot and he is embarrassing your fans not that he needs much help as you lot have a habit of embarrassing yourselves before and after games

Agree0 Disagree0

He isn't winding us up, he is actually giving us joy, with laughter

Agree0 Disagree0

Your players do enough embarrassing things for you lot without you lot having to. Kicking off car wing mirrors spring to mind.

Agree0 Disagree0

Most embarrassing player at both clubs by a mile nile ranger say no more

I love this website when the end of season transfer speculation starts. Tbh I can't see Newcastle changing there policys, expect three or four youngsters, maybe one or two senior players to come in. Its my view that we need a CB, LSF and a SF. I can see Collo, Jones and poss Tiote to go other fringe players to leave as well such as Oberton.

I would like

Shako, Sinclair and Boney

Jimmy1976

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We won't get any of them

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do you think we won't get any of them?

Agree0 Disagree0

I didn't say we will get them, I said I would like to get them.

I think they are realistic targets

Jimmy1976

Agree0 Disagree0

Sakho is too good for us
Sinclair is off to Liverpool or Swansea
And Bony will go to a better club

Agree0 Disagree0

5th post a mackem or a fan who just likes criticising the club with whatever he can

Agree0 Disagree0

No I'm a Geordie
I'm just being realistic, come back here 1st of September and prove me wrong

Agree0 Disagree0

I will. .

I agree, NUFC will always be bigger than SAFC and I'm a Makum - guess that's why when we beat you, you take it so much worse than we lose to you as that's expected. Your arrogance is as class as your horse punching! Billy.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yeah, I can tell straight away that a mag wrote that, not very good at hiding it

Agree0 Disagree0

Thank you for being honest mate, there's only a few fans who take anger in football to another level!

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats obviously a mag who wrote that, no Sunderland fan think we are a big club

Hi my fellow GEORDIES i'm JESMOND GEORDIE. can't believe the replies to my post. Deluded ME haha.

You lot need to wake up and smell the coffee talking about deluded read your comments.

Im suffering from no delusional disorder i'm posting FACTS and FACTS only.

Im entitled to my opinion.

I have been a NUFC supporter since birth 39 years I know what i'm talking about.

I said Ben Arfa would be stupid to leave Newcastle because we are one of the worlds biggest clubs.

Well its true we are, Only Man utd, Madrid, Barca, Bayern, Man city because of money and chelsea for the same reason are Guaranteed bigger than us.

We are bigger than liverpool because its true now they don't win trophies they are a nothing club.

Spurs with a 100k season ticket waiting list, if newcastle had Bale and competed for top four every season we would have a season ticket waiting list of 500k.

We are bigger than all the french, italian, dutch, other german, other spanish clubs.

Also you can't judge the size of a club on trophies alone.

Newcastle are an institution, you have
to look at the bigger picture. Apart from trophies in recent years We are huge on every level.

We would be the first team to fill a million seater stadium if we ever had the success of Manchester United because we would fill a stadium that size with that success.

We get 52k and most games another 20k are locked outside and we havnt won a trophy for nearly 50 years who else can match that?
NO ONE.

So sunderland fans stop the jealousy and the bitterness and look at the facts.

JESMOND GEORDIE

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yes you are entitled to your opinion but when you say FACTS you are going to get hammered because people will either disagree or agree.
These are PL clubs that are bigger than us:
Man u, arsenal, liverpool, man city (yes because of their owner) chelsea (coz of their owner).
AC milan, juventus are bigger than us so are inter probably. Barca, real madrid are bigger than us. ajax are bigger than us. psg, bayern munich, dortmund shalke.

Youre right we are bigger than spurs in terms of fan base and tradition. And I agree we have probably the most supportive, passionate and loyal supporters in the country.

But I respect your opinion, as you were there, you've seen the ups and downs whereas I haven't.

But you have created a lot more arguments and there will be more mackems coming on here.

JMW

Agree0 Disagree0

You should be in politics

Agree0 Disagree0

Jesmond, you are not doing your banter pages any good at all, no matter how clever you think you are. Sunderland fans have you down as a silly little kid, and I think even the Newcastle fans are laughing at you. Just as a matter of interest, have you ever been to a Newcastle match in your life.

Agree0 Disagree0

Think you need to calm down Jesmond - from a Newcastle fan

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm a Geordie and I'm actually sick of you, and I'm not alone.
Stop with this sh*t because you are creating a bad reputation for the rest of us, all the responses you are getting are very negative (Geordies too)

When other clubs get a look at your comments, you will single handedly make Newcastle the laughing stock of the league
I'm telling you know, stop

Agree0 Disagree0

Stop repeating yourself! You have already posted similar sh#t! For someone who is 39 you are being rather childish. Its almost like you want people to reply to your posts as if your saying something profound or insightful, but they are really rather silly in my view, I have also challenged you about the word "fact" and how you use it when making your statements. you still haven't answered. Tbh people need to start ignoring your posts cause they hold nothing interesting or believable or anything that has much thought behind it. If you want to have people to argue with go to the Sunderland section any play with them

Jimmy1976

Agree0 Disagree0

So we're bigger than Juventus and Milan?
500k season ticket waiting list? LOL
Everything you say is your opinion and yours only not facts.
Liverpool will always be a big club because of their history and what they've achieved in football.
The only thing you base all this on is having good fans.
If we're such a huge club why are we still waiting for a trophy over fifty years since the last one?

Agree0 Disagree0

What's age got to do with it? Its about logical thought. I am 36 and have watch Newcastle from Willie Mac to Pardew does that mean I know more than people who might have supported less than me? I don't think so. Knowledge about football is not linked to age, but to understanding. Gerodie Jesmound is 39, so what! My dad is 74 and watched Newcastle lift the fairs cup! Does that mean my dad knows more about football? No he doesn't.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wheres his post like

Agree0 Disagree0

Jesmond Geordie your a joke fan and making your fellow newcastle fans look bad with your rubbish, so you are 39 my god it's worse than I thought, I thought you were a teenager at 1st, newcastle took off from 92 that's when your toon was invented before that from I think some geordie said it was 1978-1992 you hardly had any fans turn up to games, you had a good 10-15 years but your average and sorry to say what your fans have done this season and the way your club has been run by ashley your the most hated club in the premiership not Fact but opinion of other fans of other teams! keep a lid on it Jesmond Geordie, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern, Borussia Dortmund, Inter, Juventus, AC Milan, Roma, PSG, Marseille, Man Utd, Chelsea, Man City, Spurs, Arsenal, Liverpool, Everton, Ajax, PSV, Benfica, Porto, Athletico Madrid are all bigger than Newcastle and there is more but I can't be bothered to name them, Only thing is you lot and Sunderland are in the top 10 clubs in england but the world? no chance! Success as in winning trophies is what counts and newcastle haven't done that for 55 years and sunderland 40 years nothing to shout about is it!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it's actually embarrassing to call us top 5 clubs in the world
Because everyone around us are acting like they should be, champions league, winning titles and cups, where as us, best we can do us avoid relegation

Agree0 Disagree0

20 thousand being locked out every home game has this fruit loop been locked in a cupboard for the last 16 years (we are bigger than all the sides in Europe) must have went Unnoticed newcastle's World Cup win on the up side had my rib's cracking with laughter keep up the good work jesmond Geordie aka the village person

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do you use the arguments that IF we had bale or IF we had the success of man u, we'd be a huge club with great supporters? While those points are valid, surely like 99% of all other clubs would have the same results. By the way, my top 5 are Barca, Madrid, Manu, Bayern, Juventus.

I do actually think that anzhi will actually come in and bid high enough for us to sell. Say about 20-25m I reckon ashley will defo sell but hey, that would be 11-16m profit. I reckon we could also see tiote leave, colo, williamson, simpson, jonas, gosling, obertan and ameobi. I can see ashley spending big, I mean about 25-35m but with some good profits and player sells he will only have to pick 10-15m out of his back pocket. We have learnt our lessons from last season and will come back a lot better, 7th-10th place we should be aiming for. Players like Aubameyang, Bony, Marin, Sakho, Dawson are the types of players we should be aiming for

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I can't see Ashley spending big. He will give Llambis and Carr a budget of around 15/20 million to find players for value. Anymore than that will come from players leaving. Ashley has other ambition other than to survive in the PL and pick up the money. I also deliberately missed out Pardew because their is no way he picks the player that come in because if he did he would know how to use them effectively

Agree0 Disagree0

All of that post is rubbish
These are the sort of things the mackems laugh at us for

Tottenham wouldn't get most of them players, nevermind us

10th place is optomistic, nevermind 7th

Agree0 Disagree0

20-25m for cisse, 15 at most

Agree0 Disagree0

Why have to wait for players being Sold
to be able to buy quality players we HAVE 60m NOW from TV money
Pussyfooting around will ensure EE. Carry on the way we do

Ashley signed Cisse & once again does not want to look a p. ck which we all know he is

Agree0 Disagree0

Shut up
We will have 20m tops

Agree0 Disagree0

Mackem in peace but ashley is a business man and will only give you 20m for transfers and keep the rest

Agree0 Disagree0

Yh 20m budget and extra 20-30m from sales

Agree0 Disagree0

The thing, owners don't give the funds from other players sales onto the funds he already gave, he'll keep that
What you get is what you get

McAurther, MacManiman and Kone?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

None of them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mcmamanan all day. Looks a good player.

Agree0 Disagree0

McManaman had one good game at Man City, mediocre/average player, nothing about him special at all.

Kone is clumsy and rubbish, we already have Ameobi for that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bigiramana, will hughes, adam campbell, hiadara. The pardew babes

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The fact you are comparing these young players with sir matts "babes" shows 2 things.
1. That you guys really are as deluded as everyone in the epl thinks.

2. That you personally are old enough to know better!

Rose sees NUFC as the better option than Sunderland - NUFC have the edge in this and that - you lot are seriously deluded - big crowds mean nothing remember when Moses chose Wigan instead of you lot - face it, we are as bad as each other living in our little north east bubble and will get the scraps after the big boys choose their players. You do make me laugh though - thank you! Steve

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We don't Rose. Keep him. He looks good in a poor team.

Agree0 Disagree0

We were only linked with moses we never went for him. its not just the big crowds, we have the edge of you on rose because we are genuinely the bigger club

Agree0 Disagree0

Must be the jesmond geordie speaking is it?

Lads, we need to stop being so silly regarding Lukaku. The kid is about 20 and will be world class in a few years and wouldn't sell him for 30 million. Chelsea have no interest in letting him go, they will loan him out to a CL/Europa team for half a season or so he learns to compete at the top level.
This will never happen, even PEA is an optimistic target (although he would be gettable), if the Mackems said this they wouldn't hear the end of it.
We should be looking for players like Isimat Mirin and Bony, both top players with lots of potential.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Just because Lukaku had a good season with West Brom does not mean that Chelsea will automatically consider him good enough for them.

In fact, when Lukaku first arrived he was rubbish, Chelsea thought they had wasted their money, and I am sure they still have suspicions over him, or why else would they loan him out.

If Chelsea rate Torres, and Ba better than Lukaku, I think that says something.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm a Mackem and I agree
I'm sayin this sort of stuff on our site, we both just avoided relegation and still think world class players are gunna come knocking on our doors, never going to happen

Agree0 Disagree0

Yh exactly mr mackem, but you have to admit newcastle do have the better chance on signing the better players don't you agree?

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant agree with that mate on grounds that players move for money and at the moment Newcastle are not noted for paying big wages which to me is a good thing in current climate

Agree0 Disagree0

But i'd think newcastle are one step ahead of sunderland I think, di canio did say that he wants to overtake newcastle but indirectly he's saying newcastle are the slightly bigger club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Actually no, I don't agree
Can't see Ashley spending big, our owner has said he is willing to spend big money to sort out the problems we are having, before you say we can't afford it, (our owner is a billionaire and spent next to nothing in January)

Agree0 Disagree0

Liverpool look to be dropping interest in Rose, Enrique is going to be their number 1 again next season.

That would leave the door open for us, especially if Santon is looking at A. C Milan.

Rose would prefer to come to Newcastle as he wants to get in the England team, he does not see Sunderland as giving him a platform for international football as they are a small club.

Could be an interesting one to look out for.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Santon hy said he is staying. He has way more potential than rose anyway as does Haidara. We are not weak at full back.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would rose leave tottenham? assou ekotto isn't the best left back ever, and tottenham must of been impressed with his performances, can't see him leaving, same goes for townsend.

Agree0 Disagree0

Another yes ANOTHER DELUDED geordie.

ROSE loves sunderland he would not go to newcastle.

Also saying Sunderland are a small club is just immature, childish and pathetic.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree but you've kind of just invited loads of mackems on here. I wouldn't exactly call them a small club but we certainly are bigger than them and he'd choose us. Would be a great signing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not small? He said he loves sunderland and wants to come back? Why would he go to nufc he hates them after all the lads made him fell at home and informed him that we had a long standing rivary? We can aford 9 million where yous are going to spend it all on pea lukaku and bony arnet you so we will have more off a chance than the tooon

Agree0 Disagree0

He has already said he wants to come back to sunderland person and did you see him cheering when vaughan scored the 3rd goal against you lot to make it 0-3, get over yourselves

Agree0 Disagree0

Santon should be a winger, I like haidara he should be main LB if rose stays at spurs

Agree0 Disagree0

What difference does cheering mean. He hardly going to look sad is he. Also he hates us because you lot made him feel welcome. Typical mackem logic. Keep Rose over rated. Looks good in a poor team.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rose looks good in a poor team? Sign him then newcastle he would look like messi in your team lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

IS that the same Newcastle team that finished above you again your talking about? If we are poor what does that make Sunder1and?

Agree0 Disagree0

You forgot the 5! *5under1and

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry n0wcastl3 fans, still living off 5-1 I see that was years ago

Is it just me or can anyone else pick up some hints from AP that we will not be spending much at all this summer? Have had seen quotes of how our current full backs/ centre halves will contribute with more goals from set plays next season.
To me this says we will rely on another 6-10 goals from that area and be satisfied with mid table next season. am I being over pesamistic?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He has also said Adam Campbell will have a big part to play this season. So are we not buying a forward?

Agree0 Disagree0

Well if you think about it, I'm sure alan and mike will want to keep quiet about transfers and do them in secret because we don't want another remy situation. You're not being pesimistic. As we've had a bad season we need to rebuild, so this season willl be at least top 10, then when we achieve that 14/15 will be top 7 and then we will want to consistently try and get Europa league or CL. I wouldn't be surprised if we try and go for a cup as well.

JMW

Agree0 Disagree0

No, you are being realistic. It is crazy to think that Ashley will fund a spending spree, because he wont, he will stumble along taking the p***s out of the fans who think they will challenge the big lads next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Adam Campbell was not given any where near enough football last season, it was a disgrace.

Every time Campbell was on the pitch we seemed to score goals.

I guess the idea when searching for a goal was to throw Ameobi onto the pitch, so he can lug about giving away free kicks, running the clock down arguing with the ref, and generally making a nuisance of himself. with the added bonus of not being able to hit a barnyard door with a banjo.

Agree0 Disagree0
