unfortunately guys get ready for relegation again, this club is on a downward spiral, we've got an owner who put a lock on his safe and lost the key, a managing directer who does nothing but lie and shows no initiative, and a manager who DOES have experience in the prem, only at getting clubs relegated or getting the sack and finally a captain who still doesnt speak good english and hasnt ACTUALLY been that impressive over the last few seasons. 4 signings YES 4 signings with experience in the premier league NO. and after our last season we've sold our two top strikers, our club player of the season, and we're left with ameobi up front. we need a prayer and a miracle

Many on this site shedding crocodile tears for the "sacking " of JB for just saying the top brass were going to get us relegated. Many seem to have forgotten who Alan Shearer regarded as culpable when we were relegated.
I think when it comes down to who knows what is best for NUFC its no contest, JB would have been moved on had AS remained the Manager.
JB has proved Leopards don't change spots once again by letting down the team , his team mates and indeed the fans who simply wanted him to keep his head down and try to improve on the mixed form showed last season.

Ashley could sell Tiote and Colocinni and replace them with League 1 players and people would still defend him wake up of course the club is in a better financial situation cause we aren't signing players other than Cabaye which was covered by Nolan money.

Any player we are linked with would turn us down in a heart beat which player seriously wants to join a team thet gets rid of ALL of its top preformers we are not going to challenge for any silverware and with the squad as small as it is a few injurys and we could be in big trouble i doubt if we could even attract championship players at the minute its not as if we can even offer players premiership wages anymore. This situation is just another case of there being no middle ground at our club. Barton was wrong to bitch about the club on twitter, same as Jose. But booting players out of the club is not the right answer.
Barton clearly has a massive ego and thinks as a senior player he should stick it to the higher ups, but that isn't how it works, he is an employee and therefore his actions have consequences.

But Him, Nolan and Enrique have all been making comments like this, its going to cause unrest, morale will drop and its going to affect us.
Fan protests will just add to that, although I'd love to think we could rid ourselves of Ashley.

Its sad to see Joey on his way out the door, however don't fool yourself that he wasnt't pushing for something like this. He was not being handed a new contract or a spot for this seasons starting 11. He could see the writing on the wall and wanted to leave with the fans still loving him. He forced the fatman's hand.

Good riddance to Barton. Anyone who says different is just a hypocrite. Everyone said it was a disgrace when he was sent down and demanded he be sacked. The club carried on paying him £60k+ per week while he was banged up and through his many injuries. The only reason he did not go when we were relegated was because he was injured and NO ONE wanted to pay his wages.
The club stood by him and all we got was 1 quite good season. He is just a spoilt bairn because with Nolan they bullied Hughton and now Pardew is in charge he calls the shots in the dressing room and Barton does not like it. He is a disgrace with his twitter outbursts; he gets paid more in a week than most of us do in a year just to PLAY F'ING FOOTBALL, something a lot of us actually pay to do on a Saturday and Sunday. The club is in disarray and that won't change until del boy ashley and rodder's pardew are gone. Two weeks to go before the season starts and NUFC are in a mess. We should have been strengthening this summer on the back of the Carrol money.
There is no plan in place to move the club forward apart from asset stripping and improving del boy ashley's bank balance.
CARROL, NOLAN, ENRIQUE, BARTON ALL GONE OR GOING. How can the cockney liars be believed? What is the plan to move us forward? Joey Barton on Twitter saying he's going to make an announcement about his future on there at 4pm. Good news maybe? Or just more whining from him..?
Supposedly Newcastle have been in talks with a club about Joey hope he ain't leaving but I'm not expecting good news as I doubt he would of signed a new deal after his outburst he's either getting sold or been transfer listed.
Joey Barton will anounce he's leaving today.
I wouldn't be surprised if Joey is away to someone like Villa. They can afford his wages and we'll probably accept something like 3m for him.

I'm finding this site pretty pointless now, I usually go on it a good few times a day but with all the quotes from pardew and everything that has been said I just think our club has turned into a laughing stock the lack of trust and the Twitter rants ect. Who in the right mind would want to join a club the way ours is being run all it has is a decent set of players with low morale and top quality fans. I think 3 or more signings need to be brought it or yet again i can see our squad lasting for another season and seriously struggling to find that bit of class we have so badly needed since sir bobby left the club.
Been thinking the same thing normally read this and nufcblog daily but I don't expect any good news no more so barely look now.

Well went to Leeds to watch Ashleys team get beaten off a team wh are no more than poor, Why Puppet Pardew stands like a little boy and lets Ashley tell him who he can buy and who he has to sell THEN picks the team for him. Until this wimp either walks or tells Ashley he wants some say in the team, then we are going nowhere. Rumour around Ellend Road yesterday was that there is DEFO interested parties putting a package together to take over Toon. We can only pray for this. The season we went up, when he was younger and palyed against teh back four we still have now he caused all sorts of problems. Now older and with confidence from scoring loads last year would be a good signing. Championship players are sometimes worth the risk, look at Jagielka/Cahill/CRAIG BELLAMY

Not a rumour, but just some information. Correct me if I am wrong.
In terms of the new squad for next year, we all know of the following rules (BBC Sport)
- Clubs register a squad of up to 25 players, which must include at least eight 'home-grown' players, at the end of each transfer window.
- Clubs can supplement squad with unlimited number of players under the age of 21.
So as a club with, for some reason, little funds that is working within a strict business model we are not going to have excess players on high wages not making the cut. All of the 26 players are over 21 come squad registration

IMO Pardew is waiting to clear some off this from the wage bill (Ashleys instructions) before he brings people in. We know Routledge is basically away to Swansea for medical today, but that would leave us at 25. We need more outgoings (Perch, Lovenkrands, Smith, Guthrie etc) before we bring in squad players. Our starting 11 is pretty strong.
Thoughts? If your going to pick up on spelling mistakes, don t waste peoples time.

I would never get rid of forster. his loan stats are quality. he his a huge keeper prone to the odd mistake that will disappear with age. definitely one for the future as keepers seem to be harder to come by.
I agree with the above post, Forster, a couple of seasons from now could be an england international.
Lufc have reserved smiths old no.17 lol I was chatting to nufc people on twitter they seem convinced he's staying as wages are such a problem...think cashless should get on with it pay his wages for a year and clear him off to lufc on loan you'd be paying for him to collect splinters til his contract finished anyway lol

Talking to my cousin celtic goalkeeper coach at the academy and he says that forster is not good enough for the prem, a good shot stopper but not enough precense in the box even though hes 6ft 7 although he thinks he can still mature

I think like most of those who were optimists at first and figured...sure lets give Ashley another chance, may he will actually do something good for the club my mind has totally changed. We can see now that he aint gonna do anything for the club at all, all he is interested in is lining his pockets. The squad lacks a lot of depth, and while I believe we have a decent squad (apart from a LB who actually wants to be here, and a pacy, technically sound striker...maybe even a CB for cover) I think the team spirit has totally been destroyed....good luck to Colo...he's gonna need it to captain the team this season, oh thats if FCB doesn't sell him before the window closes to buy himself a few more shares in Greggs.

I am pretty sure Barton and Enrique will be with us this season. But before everyone thinks, Great There is more too it than that.
They are both sought after players, and rightly so with their technical abilities. So what's going to happen is they are both going to see out their contracts because they know, come next summer teams will be rubbin their hands together at getting them for 'free'.
Not completely 'free' though as there will be a substantial signing on fee to be payed that they will not get if they are sold this summer. Demba Ba probably cost us £2m although he was dubbed as a 'free' transfer. The same goes for Joey and Jose.
Ultimately it will be Newcastle who loses out. £5m for both players, so a loss of £10m and they only way we can avoid it is by offering them to clubs for silly money now.
I don't care about the friendly yesterday, doesnt mean nothing, but in terms of running a football club we ain't doin things right.

Why are people saying he expecting one person in. IN the interview he said 1 or 2 but 1 before the start of the season. There's still time after the start of the season. We've got 4 new signings plus Gosling and HBA back from long term injuries. We lost Nolan who wanted a 5 year contract cashing in on him was good business. I'm not Ashleys biggest fan but he setting the club up before the cash regulations FIFA are implementing come in next season. We're not gonna be pushing for europe but we're facing a relegation battle. I fully expect us to improve on last season.

Mike ashely is not going to spend big money I remember a report two year ago when the club was up for sale that their were investors interested but they wouldn't buy the club until we get bk into the primer league and stay there for two seasons with some stability in place he is doing this to get investors interested by balancing the books of the club he's away next season with some luck I for one is keeping my fingers crossed If this is not true get your hand in your pocket and show us
