i see we must be getting close to the weekends game. folks putting the team out for the norwich match and players we should get in january. well as long as Ashley and co are still at wor club we can all speculate as much as we want because we will never know what's going on in that blokes head regarding the club. and jtoon sorry m8 but I don't want rid of cabaye ( seems to me like you do ) anyway not looking to argue just my thoughts. nearly forgot did you see strolla's goal for nigeria

Hi geordietom, Ameobi's goal was decent, we'll see if he can do that against norwich! About the Cabaye situation, I agree with you, I wish to god that he does not leave as he is one of our best players, however realistically, with a bunch of clowns in Kinnear and Ashley in charge of transfers, if a 15-18m bid comes along, he's gone, simple fact. And his recent performances have been very good which will attract more clubs to try and sign him.

Afternoon
Norwich game coming up so lineups? Do we keep the same team that beat spurs or do we give benny a chance? In my opinion, we drop Ameobi and play Ben Arfa in a free role behind remy, i've always thought that benny's best position is behind the striker and given a free role.

Apparently we are in talks with man united over a loan move for Wilfred Zaha, I could see us doing some wheeling and dealing if graham carr is given a bigger role over transfers. I think its inevitable that Cabaye is going to leave in either January or the summer. Coloccini and Williamson will leave in the summer, hopefully gutierrez and obertan will be sold in January. And I reckon we will get some good deals for a few players:

Tom Ince (£4m)
Wilfred Zaha (LOAN)
Bafetimbi Gomis (£2m)
Shane Long (£4m)
Kurt Zouma (£8m)

Yohan Cabaye (£16m)
Jonas (£1m)
Obertan (£1m)

Thats a total of £0 spent, but still improving our squad in strength and depth, and i'd say that's pretty realistic in terms of the current regime.

Maybe the outs may be right but big mike won't spend more on your club, which yous should all know this by now.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree rooney, but technically he's not actually spending anything. But yes, even just buying one player for 1 or 2mil can be a struggle with ashley running our club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't see us signing 2 LWs or two strikers, and who'd give £1m for Obertan? I like Shane Long, but he's not exactly prolific and doesn't have the same physical presence as Gomis. Hate to say this, but I can see Ashley thinking that we could get by with Shola or Cisse till the summer ie unless there's a deal already done (Gomis?). Buy Ince on the cheap, or pay a loan fee for Zaha? Anybody's guess.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yous have a really good team on paper and the same team that got yous in Europe, so it shows the players are good enough it's the backroom staff that I would be wanting changed.

Agree0 Disagree0

We're not going to spend £8m on a CB when we have Coloccini, Taylor, Yanga-Mbiwa and Williamson still at the club. So rule that one out. Only one striker out of Gomis and Long, i'd expect Gomis.
I would prefer Ince over Zaha. not quite 100% sure why we're going for both.
