i think most fans beleive we have good players, well if that's right our manager must be rubbish. PARDEW OUT

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We have some very good players who are played out of position and used with very negative tactics. It is all down to Pardew. He needs to go.

Agree0 Disagree0

we could of finished top 10 if we won today and other results went our way, for me I judge the seasons on points totals, last year 65pts=5th and this year 41pts=16th. even if wed won today it might of painted over the cracks, we have been woeful all season and pardew must go. target for me next season is 60pts

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Stop with the IF'S and BUTS.

The season would have been a load different IF this happened, and IF that happened.

We hardly deserved to be top ten. We finished where we deserved to be. At the bottom of the pack, try to stay up. We were a very poor team this year!

19 May 2013 21:59:08
still think we should go for rhodes, said it last year to before he moved to blackburn, good back up, or even first teamer

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Surely after awarding 8 year contracts to Messrs. Pardew, Carver, Stone and Woodman, Mr. Ashley could still make his award to the back room staff at SJP many of whom will be working on close to the minimum wage. After all, these people have fulfilled their obligations.
That way he would avoid criticism for a tasteless publicity stunt.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

19 May 2013 21:20:20
Goodbye Pardew this surely was your last game as its been a disgraceful season and you didn't even bother to clap the fans at the end of the game please could you take Gutierrez with you through the exit doors because I can't even belive this lad is a footballer he's dreadful

Believable0 Unbelievable0

19 May 2013 21:04:29
Please, now is the time to sack Pardew and get Rafa!

Ashley shouldn't take a chance with him next year, simply because its a football club not a sports bar.
There are people who love this club and wishes this club would one day win a premier league title.
Pardew is not the man for that, tactically he's rubbish.
Please don't take a chance with him, because if we give him time to make things right its going to end in championship, even if we fire him in december, we won't get any decent managers to save our club then.

get a good manager, get some decent players.

We fans can't go through this emotional trauma again next season.
Please.

Safc were without they top goalscer since march and finished with all their creative players missing were as nufc at full strength. 2 pts difference. nothing to be proud of at all

Agree0 Disagree0

Who cares about Sunderland. We have been missing big players all season.

hearing all the Newcastle fan buzz about how we got the final laugh over Wonderland by finishing above them this year! What the hell have we got to be proud of this season? We FINISHED 2 POINTS above them and one place, fifth from bottom, hardly our fifth from top finish last year. WE have honestly played terrible, and Sunderland can't say they played any better themselves. Hoping next year that we can be at least battling to get ourselves into the top ten.
A lot of work needs doing by both teams. Newcastle really need to work on fitness levels, they looked very leggy after December! Two new strikers! Replacements for Collo (if he goes) Simpson, Harper. Get shot of Jonas, Willo, Perch. New CB so we have four good centre halfs, and no fly by night cow boys like willo and perch.
some new attacking talent for down the left wouldn't go amiss and some cover for when HBA is injured is a must

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Im sorry but I can't even take one positive from this season its been absolute dyer

Agree0 Disagree0

I think there a very few, but i'm optimistic.

Cabaye - showed class all the way, first to last game. Yes he looked very leggy towards the end but he was covering for the other 10 players that didn't show up for us

Biggie - was nice to see such a young talent. I really think he has a big future ahead of him. As long as Newcastle keep hold of our stars. He will learn a lot and grow.

But apart from that. was a pathetic attempt play football from our lads, they never looked like a team.

Have any of them actually played together?

Agree0 Disagree0

I love Cabaye but he hasn't been at the races for most of the season. Really disappointing because he is pure class.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 May 2013 20:43:42
Newcastle will be looking to add height to the team after poor set plays and also add some british players to the team.
Outs: Cabaye-will be on his way to psg, colo-san lorenzo, shola and willo to a championship side. 35 mill
Ins: J. McCarthy to replace cabaye, huddlestone as he want first team football, Carroll coming home, Kjaer to replace colo and finally another striker aubamayeng cost: 50 mill

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Not a chance of any of that happening. Sorry Colo leaving is your best bet.

Agree0 Disagree0

Erm are you insane? 35m from where? and 50m? ha!

Agree0 Disagree0

How is 35 mill coming in? Only cabaye will go over 1 million out of that list

Agree0 Disagree0

Cabaye's not leaving, only for ridiculous money.

JMW

Agree0 Disagree0

Cabaye, I don't think that he will leave us. He has played wearing his heart this year. He has led the line and best part of the time he has been playing alone on the pitch against 11 men.

Carroll will be staying in London, as there is NO WAY ON THIS PLANET that MA will spend 17 million on a player we sold for 35. I know Carroll has had a good run in to the end of the season, but not worth the 17 LOLpool want for him. He is injured FAR too much!

Aubamayeng and De-Jong are defiantly to players we should be aiming to bring to the club.

We sort out out defence and attackers (give us a bit more depth) I think next year will be a totally different story. But then again, this year was totally different than last, that doesn't mean its a good thing!

If this season has told us anything it is durning pre-season we need to work on

Set plays - did we even score one this season?

Work as a team, and work on fitness levels

Krul - not a bad season, defence have made it very hard for him to do anything this year.

Eliot - showed his inexperence at times, and the defence made it impossible for him to look good at any point!

Harper - Only a couple of games this year and his final one today. 199 games, in 20 years to the club. what a legend he is. he stuck around when he fcould have left in search of first team. when we have needed him he has always been on call. Hero in my eyes

Debuchy - good right back, showed some class. Really needs to work as part of the defence and stop trying to be a one man army.

Taylor - done well in my eyes stayed fit for nearly all the season. work on fitness for next year

Colo - please for the love of god stay colo, we have missed him so much these past few month.

Santon - played well all year, few slip ups, some which cost us a lot at the time. Needs to think about what he does before palying the ball

Mbwia - Played some good stuff, did some mistakes though. I think with another season of English football under his belt he will be one class act, a very good replacement for colo if he leaves us.

Hardaria (spelling) - played well from what we saw, still needs time to grow as a player very young.

Cabaye - nothing to say about him. He has done everything himself this year and has been asked to do so. Cabaye has stepped up to the plate this year and you could see by the end of the season how leggy he was with the amount he has had to do.

Tiote - needs to work on his attitude and stop getting as many cards and think about it when he does away a foul in a bad position

Biggie - Good first season, I think too much was acted of him at the start and may have played too many games at a young age. but everything will help him grow as a player.

Ben Arfa - fitness is a must to work on! apart from that he's le' wizard xD

Marv - starting to come into his own now, good little player. more playing time maybe?

Gourfan - helped us keep the ship afloat some important goals scored along the way. could have a bright future

Jonas - I think if he works on every aspect of a footballer hen wouldn't be bad - in other words bin him!

Cisse - work on his first touch, time his runs right and finishing

Sissoko - if what we are hearing is true needs to work on his attitude, m because us not playing him because he is in a huff is only letting his team mates down

we need to get shot of some players too.
perch
willo
jonas
etc get rid of the dead wood at the club!

lets hope for a better season next year lads. don't forget we will have Rooney, Messi and Ronaldo leading the attack next year by the papers haha

WE ALL WISH!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Analyze. don't give Ashley or his persons your time. This season has been a disaster and has provenn that despite 15 A PITTANCE in football terms his ignorance of not signing a striker or CB came home to roost. Season over everything forgotten and these persons Pardew Lambias Carver and Ashley insult football by just being involved.

Cisse has been a disgrace as has Williamson Guiterez Shola Obertans and one or two more. Get rid of then and the manager and start to take football seriously or B. R Off

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok Ron Manager

Agree0 Disagree0

Cisse has not played great all year but his goals have gave us some well needed points

It seems that we are stuck with Pardew. The only way he will go is if we are in a poor position at Christmas. Its a shame cause Raffa would be great for us.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Totally agree. Should get Rafa in now before its to late.

Pathestic strike force & Ashley is a disgrace hanging On to his money instead of replacing BA

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Signed 5 players in jan would have been 6 had remy not chased the money!
Damn that tight fisted Ashley!

Agree0 Disagree0

A fraction of what he should have spent & he nearly took us down

Typical some fans will just not wake up
no wonder Ashley laughes at you

Parhetic Hopeless and exactly what fans supporting Ashley deserve & it won't get any better

Agree0 Disagree0

Pardews inept management nearly took us down and players not performing to the standards they did last year nearly took us down!

Agree0 Disagree0

19 May 2013 18:42:20
Well we really went out with a bang there Pardew. Did we even test their keeper? Jonas again for 90 mins. What a shock.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Made by London by muppetts
Ashley should be ashamed and pardenyou sent Packing along with
Carver and Lambias

A disgraceful season with people
who should not be involved with football

Agree0 Disagree0

Cabaye had a shot from twenty five yards out that was the only shot on target.

Agree0 Disagree0

We played some good stuff in the first half, restricted them, then in the second it was as if the players didn't care.

Rubbish pratdew out now.

Were a massive club we should be competing with arsenal not on on the pitch but in the league table.

Were the best fans in the world we turn up in our droves to be entertained and we can't score.

We have probably a better squad or a equal squad to arsenal spurs etc but pratdew dosnt know what he's doing.

At least we finishef above sunderland and are the top dogs.

Magpie and peas

Believable0 Unbelievable0

No wonder we get called delusional.

Agree0 Disagree0

My god your deluded!
We are nowhere near arsenal on or off the pitch!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes Pardew has to go but our squad is not as good as Arsenal or Spurs.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its not so long ago we were competing with arsenal I fear it will be a long time before we can again with this set up its a farce.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well no we are near the stature of arsenal, we have a bigger fan base than tottenham.

Agree0 Disagree0

You don't have a bigger fan base than spurs mr deluded have you seen the size of spurs season ticket waiting list?.

Agree0 Disagree0

You geordies really are Pathetic, we knew you were deluded, we knew you were sore losers I remember you running on the pitch in a derby to try and get it abandoned also trashing your city last month.

But for you to claim to be top dogs after SUNDERLAND HAMMERED you in your own stadium 3-0 and took 4 points off you and only finished on similar points totals two behind your embarrassing.

If you finished 10/20 points above fair enough but 2 and losing 4 points too us.

I know who's position I would like to be in ourstwo points behind and an emphatic derby win.

If you judge that as success lol fine go with it but we were both crap and our season slightly better because of the derby win and we finally have a top manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why say geordies when it was one person comment. As to the mackem enjoy your derby win I have forgotten how many times we have battered you home and away. Yes we have finished above you and if it was the other way round you would be banging your victory drums. Dry your eyes your revolution under the fascist has come to a grinding halt.

Agree0 Disagree0

PDC a top manager? Based on what? And you lot call us deluded.

Agree0 Disagree0

Paolo is potencially a top manager. Who would you rather have pardew or a young talented passionate ambitious manager who will sort out sunderland in the summer. Sunderland will be a top team next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

We are the third biggest club after Manchester United and arsenal. I would say newcastle are bigger than liverpool now as they don't win trophies. Bigger than spurs. Bigger than chelsea as we get bigger crowds. World football is probs madrid barca Manchester United juve milan ac bayern munchen dortmund and then arsenal and newcastle FACT.

We are a club and city potencially bigger than anyone in the world. The man city owners should of bought us we have so much potencial. Sunderland can only emulate newcastle on fifa with a cheat in the game.

If none of you can see that newcastle are massive your deluded.

Dave the rave

Agree0 Disagree0

Dave the rave is on drugs FACT lol.

ANOTHER DELUDED GEORDIE.

The funniest part of that is I think newcastle are bigger than Liverpool now as Liverpool don't win trophies anymore lol yeah because newcastle are breaking records with their trophy wins lollolollololol this thread is hilarious

First half was alright, team played quite narrow and and there was hardly any space between the midfield and defence, we restricted them, got some good passing moves going. Direct balls were mostly a success, cisse did well taking the ball down, gouffran was quite good in the hole. Gutierrez put In a good effort and played well in front of mbiwa. Then second half, it was as if the players just gave up, especially Ben arfa, mbiwa, coloccini (who was surprisingly dissapointing today) Tiote had a solid game, but there just wasn't enough players who turned up in the second half really. There was no sense of urgency when we went 1-0 down. But in the first half, you could tell it was like a massive rock of the players backs, we played it patiently, calmly, but just didn't turn up second half. But now we can start planning for next season, and prepare properly with the backing of ashley so we make sure we finish top 10 and try and challenge top 7.

JMW

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Only playing for forty five minutes has happened way too often to just be a coincidence.

Same old story Newcastle can't score and we all know who's fault that is. When will this w. er of an owner realise he made a calamity not only in August but also in January. Shocking defence and hopeless strikers, let's hope Campbell can be brought through becasue Cisse is c. p

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree he's cr, p nearly a year ago them wonder goal, offside, over the bar, offside,

Agree0 Disagree0

Cisse is quality just need a proper manager but doubt we will get one with this owner

If Tottenham buy a few strikers, do you think we should make a move for defoe? He's 28, 29 but he's English, quick and clinical.

He's older than that

Team to face Arsenal - 4. 3. 3.

Harper; Debuchy, S. Taylor, Coloccini (c), Yanga-Mbiwa; Tiote, Cabaye, Gutierrez; Ben Arfa, Cisse, Gouffran

Tv says we're going 442. i'd really like to see a win today, it could give us a bit of a pump for next season.

time for the french to put in a great perfomance, hoping for la transfer to la arsenal. mixed with playing for the staff bonus, and most of all for the fans, let's hope to see a glimmer of hope for next season, 2. 0 to toon!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

£1m bonus. for backroom staff if we beat arsenal (what about the players ) shame he wasn't that generous with wages in the transfer market let's finish as high as we can. and good luck for next season. get rid of the dead wood (Anil Ambani come and buy us you were interested at one time what happened there)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Whatever Ashley does is wrong wrong wrong. Grow up, people!

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't you think the players get paid enough?

This is a nice little incentive that unites the club and channels some of the money to the people at the club which need it the most.

I am sure the players would not disagree either.

Does there always have to be something negative about everything Ashley does, even when he tries to do something positive?

Afterall, Ashley did not have to bother.

The £1 million bonus pays for itself if this incentive works and we beat Arsenal, so I wish I knew what you were talking about.

Agree0 Disagree0

A million pound incentive is a nice gesture but hopefully this won't be offset against future transfer fees or wages for new players. Just a thought.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wonder how much that works out per person,, let's hope the players play so that they give the staff a chance of a getting bonus, 2. 0 toon

Agree0 Disagree0

''A million pound incentive is a nice gesture but hopefully this won't be offset against future transfer fees or wages for new players. Just a thought. ''

If Newcastle 'WIN' then the incentive would have worked and Newcastle will be financially better off, even after paying 1 million to the non-playing staff.

The incentive pays for itself. If we don't win, Ashley doesn't pay it.

I don't understand why are not getting it.

Agree0 Disagree0

''A million pound incentive is a nice gesture but hopefully this won't be offset against future transfer fees or wages for new players. Just a thought. ''

Yes I certainly get it. It must be you that doesn't I am sure we have been here before with the Carrol scenario. Where did that money go?
