nufc bid 4.5 million for nzogbia according to either new of the world or sunday mirror. i been a toon season ticket holder since mirandina in 80, s and don't want him prefer adam johnson

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Johnson is not a possibility, and would cost serios money to prize him away from city. N'Zogbia would be excellent for us now, and with him in the team our attacking options would be very exciting.

19 Jun 2011 22:26:47
If nzogbia does sign, we will have to many midfielders. All good quality, which will result in a dressing room bust up and alot will leave, back to square one

loads of foreigners on cheap wages/frees who we havnt heard of.

Believable0 Unbelievable8

So all of our best players (apart from a few) either your a mackem or know nothing BECAUSE TIOTE GOING NOWHERE

Agree4 Disagree0

The fact is krul isn't going to leave these tiote rumours have no substance and he has said he wants to stay and forster won't go either he will stay to battle with krul for the number 1 and yes foreigners are coming in but they are adding quality to the side and not all are frees and what would u prefer nolan who had a good season but is getting old on 60k a week or cabaye a proven international mid on 30 k a week yeh anyone would prefer cabaye and you could say this for bassically any player that has left and come in.

Agree1 Disagree0

Why would we do that?

Agree1 Disagree0

Why does it matter if a player is free??
would ba and marveaux be better players if they had cost 6mill each?

Agree1 Disagree0

Krul AND Forster? you idiot.

Agree0 Disagree0

Tiote 20m haha more like 10m, Taylor 8m haha more like 5m, I think half of them will go like Barton, Enrique, Tiote, Jonas, Colo for example and replaced with unknown cheap players. a season of struggle predicted

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry but with Henderson going for 16 million Tiote is easily worth 20 million.

Agree0 Disagree0

All the players on that list have all been linked to these clubs on this website. .i don't believe we should make loads of changes as it could spell disaster who says the new signings will adapt to prem/newcastle it took colocini/enrique/gutierez time to settle, enough time to see us relegated.

19 Jun 2011 21:15:16
now newcastle hav got a talented young midfield that stands them next to nothing :) we stil got 3omillion that ashley promise maybe a center back n a 20 pound move 1 sturrige to go a long side demba ba n maybe we shud be lookin 4 a goal keeper likes ov forster as he not got a big wage at blues just suggestions what u think .?.

Believable0 Unbelievable2

I know you get crocks on freebies but 20 quid for sturridge u offered? david nugents on a free

Agree0 Disagree1

Sorry lads my mate lives in london and drinks in sturridge local he says his not looking to leave chelsea but if he did would look for a move to north west or west midlands as family ties are there but carlton cole who drinks in the cuckoo in wapping says he could be on his way as scott parker has advised him could be a good move and would get a game every week to help re-ignite his emgland careeer ye heard it here first

Ashley and Llambias putting there shorts on next season and having a run out to make the numbers up. Will at least keep the costs down, which is obviously what they want.

Exciting summer for Newcastle, Taarabt to join along with nzogbia or Adam Johnson on loan, wingers who will entertain fans, Sturridge will join on loan and take no.9 shirt, Ben Arfa, Gosling and Cabaye to have massive impact, would like to see us also sign Wickham cos hes gonna be top player. Ashley doing right thing, lowering age and wage bill but getting very good players.

Believable5 Unbelievable6

And then you woke up !

Agree3 Disagree3

Please not Taarabt. 99% of fans don't want him.

Agree6 Disagree2

Looks like ye gonna have no defence with all the midfielders ye got and all the others ye gonna signon here but really no nzogbia taarbat or johnson

Agree0 Disagree4

Taarbat attitude stinks, don't want him. N'zobia deal may be on the cards, Johnson, no chance.

Possible makem take that's away so no more big shows eh m8

Agree2 Disagree0

Haha i think you will find this describes the mackems transfer policy where as newcastle is to bring in young good quality players such as nzogbia and sturridge (good to see you know how to spell) who we have a very strong chance of signing and getting on loan hence why sky have stopped betting on nzogbia.

Agree2 Disagree1

See if you get them then.

Agree1 Disagree0

Put it this way we have as much chance of getting those 2 as asamoah gyan leaving the stadium of s****

defoe would be great and is english which is another great reasoin to sign him and also has pace. we are either going to ge baratta or nzogbia or tarabbat. for me i would like charlie. but if there is nothing by thursday or friday, then we know we won't be getting any of them. DONT BE EXPECTING MORE DEALS TO BE DONE THIS WEEK, IT WAS NICE TO SEE WE SIGNED TWO PLAYERS THIS WEEK, BUT IT WAS A ONE OF IN MY EYES, I SAY NEXT DEAL TO BE DONE IN THE NEXT 3WEEKS, AFTER ALL PARDEW DID AY HE WOULD LIKE TO WRAP UP A FEW DEALS IN THE NEXT 10 DAYS, AND HE SAID THAT 9DAYS AGO. AND ITS TRUE, WE SIGNED 2PLAYERS

Believable1 Unbelievable5

Ashley would not pay his wages. And we need a Striker with pace

Agree2 Disagree1

If it was a loan we could maybe get Man U to pay half his wages.

Would be a good addition if that was the case. How can you justify turning down last seasons top scorer?

Im not sure either of us will sign him to be honest. We have just signed a left sided player and also have jonas at the min. I can't see why he would want to sign for Sunderland you have lost all your best players. Bruce is gonna have to spend a fortune just to replace all the loan players you had.

I can only assume Marveux is going to be a first team player, so is there really any foundation to the N'Zogbia rumours? There may have been interest but with 4 players that can play left wing (Marveaux, Jonas, Ben Arfa and Ferguson) surely Pardew will look to strengthen other areas of the team? Even if Jonas is on his way out.

So far only the Nolan cash and a small portion of the Carroll money has been spent, and 3 first team players have been bought, as well as an up and comer (Abeid). And whatever Enrique brings in will easily be enough to replace him and pay for Taylor as back up. Realistically I can also see Barton, Collo and (sadly) Tiote leaving, but the fees they will command when combined (around 25m) would cover the cost for replacements (potentially Barnetta, Jorgensen and Matuidi?)

This would leave the Carroll money still largely untouched, with a couple of strikers needed as well as a replacement for Nolan.

I have it on good authority that Pardew will attempt to lure Adam and is in the unique position of being able to offer him a captain's role. But I couldn't tell you if that would be enough for him to choose Newcastle over some of the bigger clubs that are supposedly after him.

As for strikers, we can only speculate. But I'd really like to see Sturridge at Newcastle on a season long loan, leaving a good £20m+ for a new number 9. .

Believable0 Unbelievable5

Tiote's going nowhere

Agree5 Disagree2

Well spoken mate adams has chosen a bigger club 17 million to ye neighbours on good authority

Agree1 Disagree6

Lets be honest if Man U want Adam that's where he will be going end of. I can't see us signing Nzogbia and we won't be bringing in any big name forwards in because Ashley won't break the wage cap so forget Berba and Defo.

Agree3 Disagree0

17m for Adam.somehow i don't think so

Agree2 Disagree2

Fact blackpool will ask for a big fee as they will have to pay rangers a big wedge because of sell on clause

Adel Taarabt has hinted he could leave QPR and has welcomed links with a move to Newcastle.

The classy attacker has admitted talks over a new deal at Loftus Road have hit a stumbling block.

Taarabt is keen to win an improved contract at QPR after helping them win promotion, but the club are refusing to meet his demands.

The former Tottenham man has admitted the breakdown in discussions could see him leave as he fears they could suffer relegation straight back to the Championship next season.

"I helped QPR win promotion but they will not offer me a better contract. They say I am already on big wages, " Taarabt is quoted as saying in the Mail on Sunday.

No disrespect
"I helped QPR win promotion but they will not offer me a better contract. They say I am already on big wages."

Adel Taarabt on his contract talks with QPR

Quotes of the week

"They want me to stay four years on the same terms. But I don't want to sign for four years then after one year I am going to be back in the Championship.

"No disrespect, but if we keep the same players, it will be very difficult to stay in the Premier League when you are playing Man United and Chelsea.

"I understand that QPR have changed my life. People had almost forgotten me when I joined from Tottenham.

"But I don't think they are being fair to me."

Newcastle interest
Newcastle have been credited with an interest in Taarabt and the playmaker admits he would be interested in a move to St James' Park.

"People say Newcastle will be good for me, that the fans love players like me, " added Taarabt.

"It is fantastic to play in front of 50,000 supporters every week. I do not need one of the very big clubs at this stage."

I TOLD YOU WE WONT BE GETTING NZOGBIA, IF WE GET THIS GUY, WE WILL NOT BE GETTING HIM, BUT WE ARE GOING TO END UP WITH TO MANY ATTACKING MIDFIELDERS.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Sunderland fav to get taarbat as warnock wants ferdinand and sunderland could put malbranque in with the deal which would cut there wage bill

I really fear that we will fall further behind the smb's. Two wingers nzog and larrson, pauvlechenko, gardener and gibson, also heard that the whickham deal is done for 12 million plus fringe players. I agree all mid range to poor signings but all with premier league experience. I hope our new lads get used to the english game and quickly as i can't stand being below them. Thoughts anyone?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

I think we all know we need strikers in. Fair enough bringing in foreign players and hoping they all end up a hit like Tiote, but how many more does Pardew want? I would like to now see players (even foreigners are fine) who are already great players who are known, and have experience in big games (home and abroad). Dont worry about Sunderland, they are just replacing mediocre with mediocre by all reports. But who knows. Erding, Sow, Rondon, Osvaldo, Pavlyuchenko, Defoe, Berbatov, Podolski, any 2 from that lot would be amazing at St.James'. Couple of quality known players in and we will be more than alright. Psycho

Agree0 Disagree1

Get used to it mate

just heard the board are after 7 more physios to cope with the demands of signing players who have failed medicals everywhere else before settling here. Apparently a willingness to be available on a 24 hour basis is a key requirement to anyone who wishes to apply for these posts, although physical fitness is not necessary.

bring in a good right back. and use one the young right backs as cover.
Collincini - Seville (unlickley with asking price)
Taylor - everton ? bring phil jagielka the other way if this is true.
Enrique - liverpool or arsenal it seems. hopefully doesn't happen. if it does is neil Taylor good enough to do some sort of job in his place ?
Barton - arsenal ??
jonas gutierrez - liverpool (seems unlikely)
best - Forrest ?
ranger - Bolton or millwall.
get rid of shola instead of best I think

I know people close to Liverpool and the deal is we are trading Jose and Jonas + 1.5 mil for Andy Carrol

This is ordinary rubish. Why would Liverpool sold Andy, if they paid 35 milion pounds for mih 6 months ago? And you think Jose and Jonas are good enough for that trade?

what did they do with Keane

Just heard an interesting rumour from a friend at the Northern Echo, not really transfer based but interesting nonetheless, not sure what to make of it.

Apparently Nolan's time at NUFC was numbered from November when Liverpool representatives were spotted leaving his house and shaking hands with both Nolan and his agent, whilst Andy Carroll was present. I know that this could just be coincidence and that Carroll was just staying there etc. but my friend seemed to indicated that Nolan and his agent were acting on behalf of both parties in sorting out a transfer. Board got wind of it and both players have now left.

Just what I have heard, anyone got anything similar?

Geordiesteve

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Something similar, however i was told it was everton he wanted to sign for and yes our board heard about it and that's why he was sold

A swap deal is being forged between newcastle and everton for joey Barton and Steven Taylor and 4m in exchange for jack rodwell. Whilst there has been reported interest from the top teams for rodwell, a deal could be struck to reject any proposals from other clubs so everton can secure replacements for yobo and Rodwell immediately.
Rodwell would be signed ona 5 year deal with an incremental buy out clause starting at 18m and increasing every year by 2m.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Taylor is going nowhere. Plus why would there be an incremental buy-out clause in a 5yr contract? Who is going to pay £24-26mil for a player on the fifth year of a contract?

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Also Everton have been quoting him for £20 million so he would be gone in January if it was £18 million.
Also Everton will hold onto him and wait for stupid money to be thrown at them and it will be saying he is the best midfielder in the U21 squad.

Agree1 Disagree0

Rodwell to man utd for 25 million and then everton will use 5 million to sign taylor and barton and top it of with another 5 million offer for enrique

Luis Suarez over-rated HAHA. He has tore the back out of some of best defences in the league and will only get better next season. Loads of managers have praised him on the world stage and has been linked to the likes of Real Madrid and for Barcelona for 40 million not bad for someone who we paid 22.5 million 6 months ago. How could you compare Suarez to Tiote. Tiote is a defensive midfielder for a start, he is just a athlete with no abilty who scored a one off goal against Arsenal,

We may have paid over the odds for Henderson and Carroll but there only young and have adapted to premiership football already and can only get better as they have age on there side and a lot of potential. Plus Henderson was linked to Man Utd and Chelsea not long ago so can't be that bad can. .
You know we will finsh above you like we always do.

MarkoLFC85

Believable0 Unbelievable3

We shall see next season i suppose. I am more than confident that you will struggle next year. I'm guessing that your are a plastic scouser living in London, who has never been to Anfield. I get this impression due to your complete lack of footballing knowledge. Usually real scousers (blue or red) know their stuff, you clearly don't.

Col

Agree2 Disagree1

Tiote has plenty of ability. .

Agree3 Disagree1

Who told you Man U were after Henderson?. If Man U really wanted Henderson they would have got him. You may finish a few places above us but so you should with the money you are spending. Lets be honest id rather watch attacking football than the s**t Dogleish will serve up

Agree2 Disagree1

What are you doing here mate? You're trying to win an arguement on a newcastle blog full of geordies. Get back on your own blog and make up stories about failed medicals and why crocks and average players are worth so much to your yankee owners.

Agree2 Disagree2

Look person as much as i, m a mag i must admit carrol is a good player and most of us wanted him to stay but 35 million for him was just to good.and if fergie came in for henderson he would, nt of even talked to lot but fergie obviuosly did not rate him at 16 million. .as for king kenny think he, s s**te came to us sold ginola, ferdinhand and tino then bought us kevin gallagher, john barnes.tan rush and totally screwed up one of the best attacking teams in country at the time and that's fact but we can all live in the past that's why you, s all think kennys a god.

Agree3 Disagree0

Looking at your squad at the moment, there are only about 3 players i would have in the Newcastle firts 11.
Reina, Suarez, Carrol (when fit, and not half pissed).
Not sure you'll even qualify for the Uefa at the rate your going. What happens when Carrol is out? If Suarez misses games you lot will be screwed.

Agree3 Disagree0

You just keep your Spearing, Henderson, N'Gog, Cole, Lucas and we'll keep Tiote, Ben Arfa, Barton, Marveaux and Cabaye I know who I would rather have!

Agree1 Disagree1

Carroll will struggle with injuries next season. Suarez will be a general douche and prob get a red card or two for either arguing or doing what he did against ghana and handballing it fom the line.

Agree0 Disagree1

I was thinking exactly the same their is probably only 3 or 4 players id have out of the Liverpool team the rest are average.

Agree0 Disagree0

Im sunderland by the way and love reading the fantasy on here by the way the scouser really wound ye up on that one ye must all be gutted ye lost carroll and don't say he was s**te because all i got round here was andy the new shearer englands number 9 for the next 10 years well he might become the next shearer and i think he will be englands number 9 but it won't be playing for newcastle it will be for liverpool and if anyone wants a bet on who finishes higher out of liverpool and newcastle i think that could be sorted

Agree2 Disagree0

If you do your home work person the toon turned shearer down he then went on to southampton becoming the youngest and only person to score hatrick in first ever game then sold to blackburn the fergie agreed a deal then keagan went for him he turned them down come to us rest is history carrol might come back and at least we have a famous no 9 you, s got famous nowt. .and cry wen benty left and arca left for bigger teams come back to talk when you fill you can fill your stadium smb

Agree0 Disagree0

Bit gutted when arca went but for bent no good having players who don't want to play for ye and the s**te ye give carroll he has more chance of coming to sol as we could use one of the young lads we are bringing through in a swop in a couple of years maybe ryan noble or jack colbeck

I think all the nzogbia talk is fake, for me personally, if there is nothing by Thursday then we know we won't be signing him.

Is Thursday the only day of the week now adays?
Everything to do with us - press conferences, signings, everything is reported on here for a Thursday. Psycho

Taraabt issues a come and get me plea to Pardue in the papers. QPR want 10m. Would be a great signing even with his reported bad attitude.

Believable2 Unbelievable3

His attitude stinks, and for 10m is not worth that amount. I would prefer N'Zog for a similar amount.

N'Zogbia over Taarabt, easily for that money. If we're splashing the cash we need proven players. Mind for around the £7m I'd snap your hand off for Taarabt

I think what Newcastle are doing by going for young, talented players who don't want massive wages is right but im a little worried that we are getting rid of players with premiership experience. I think we need to hold onto Barton. If we can get 2 good full backs and a couple of top strikers in I think we will have a good season

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Agreed. We don't want to be dismantling our team for the sake of it. The business we've done so far has been encouraging. If we can hold onto core players like Barton, Colo and Enrique while adding a bit of quality, then happy days.

Also agreed that we need strikers and particularly full backs. Simpson and Perch aren't up to the job on the right. They're too soft. Good to hear that Marveaux can play LB if needed too.

Can't complain with what's been happening so far. Just have to wait and see.

whats all this sh*t abouth toon siging robbie keane? Theres no chance as he is too old and will cost too much in wages. Any real toon fan will know the type of player we are after. The only player we are likely to buy from the premiership is the zog. We are not interested in any other premiership player. We want new, exciting foriegn players. And why are so called 'fans' sudenlly moaning that bestb is for sale? Im certain everyone one was bitching that he was playing in the mighty black n white, and as for Nolan been sold anyone with an ounce of sence will know what a deal that was. Almost as good as the big Andy Carrol sale. Dont get me wrong an excellent captain but no longer a box to box midfeilder. Yeah he was our top scorer last seaon but that because we had no one to feed off the scraps. Look at Nolans scoring record after the big man did one. 2 goals i think. We should stop dissing the club and for once see the possitives going on with the club. Bring on 11/12 season lets f##k those mackems over.
