Use our rumours form to send us newcastle transfer rumours.

19 Jan 2013 22:35:07
Agreed .. shocking today, hopefully mr Ashley you were sitting watching thinking to yourself .... If only I spent enough cash to get us up there and challenging for honours every season, create some hope and success ... My god 50 odd thousand fans every other week, not to mention the thousands of arm chair / pub fans supporting us and we are playing s**t ! Imagine if we won something !!!! You could print money if that's what floats your boat !! Come on mr Ashley smell the f*****g coffee !!!!

We are going down.

Pardew is an enept clueless person.Making excuses now as he has lost the plot.He has us playing the worst football I have ever seen at sjp, worse than big sam.

Big sam gets the sack and pardew gets an 8 year contract. We are a bunch of amateurs, the whole club from top to bottom.

What makes things worse sunderland are picking up and Oneill a top manager who when given time will build them a good team, just seen their highlights versus wigan and that N'Diaye looks a top player at under 3 million pound.

We will be exploited in the transfer market this january, because teams know we are desperate for players.

If we go down this season it will be worse than last time, a few reasons why.The new tv money for a start and also because of our season last season which now was obviously a fluke as I suggested to friends last season saying that momentum and cisse helped us last season, now we have been found out.We are crap.

I hope we get knocked out of europe because if we don't we won't be able to cope in the league.

Believable6 Unbelievable3

I think the master plan must be to crash and burn. Sorry if that sounds defeatest but what else can you read into the manger's decisions during the match and the owners apparent lack of ambition and investment. Not sure how Ashley thinks that a second division team will maximise his franchise emporium, but I'm sure he makes enough money not to worry.

Agree1 Disagree1

O'neill is just a mid table manager.

Agree7 Disagree7

Oh to be in mid table !

Agree5 Disagree0

Oneil is more than just mid table imo and as for ashley advertising S***** D***** on the back of Rangers means he might not give a toss about us anymore... I just hope that by the time Rangers get back to the top of Scottish football we have not dropped out the bottom of English. If we go down this time and owlhead sells the 'purples' the young lads that are left won't get out of the championship as we have no leaders left.

Agree0 Disagree2

You can say oneil is md table. He is building a team there only paid for 3 payers and all look to be good investments. Where is Ben Arfa?? On strike I hear.

Agree2 Disagree2

What ?
Knocked out of the competion you were all crowing about ?

Jeez.

Get Pardew out, the deteat against Reading was simply dissapointet. Get Laurant Blanc or Roberto Di Matteo in as new manager.

This is my first post as I like to read comments rather than posting, but feel I need to speak up. How can people be demanding the sacking of Pardew? Yes, we are struggling but we need to look at the players first. I along with most didn't really want the appointment of Pardew but have to admit he has won me over. Give him a chance to change things. He will do it. In Pardew we must beleive.
Also, people are saying we need this striker from France or that striker from holland. Why pay money for unproven players in the premier league, when we can buy genuine goal scorers like Darren Bent. Yes, I know he is an ex maccum but his record speaks for itself.

Believable5 Unbelievable5

Unable to beat Reading at home and with players back from injury.

No excuse, none.

Agree2 Disagree0

Look it is simple we only buy cheap players from anywhere but the UK. Proven in their own leagues and therefore "big names". Given an icy blast from the NE coast they don their gloves and trot about like prize ponies, until it get a bit to cold and then they look to the bench with sorrowfull eyes and clutch their leg, shin, b***cks or what ever part of their poor body that is feeling the cold. Bless!
Instead of spending money on foreign merceneries, who frankly are a deadloss, bring in a hard core of home grown talent. Please don't trot out the excuse of home grown is more expensive, if you want to stay in the premier league you need a team that are hardened enough to compete and this lot are not up to the mark.

Agree2 Disagree1

I totally agree about Pardew, but if we brought Bent in then I'd probably change my mind...

Agree1 Disagree2

Yeah because they don't have weather in France of course...

Agree1 Disagree0

I lived in France for 15 years. Believe me, winters are far harder there than in NE England, eg -17C in Burgundy one Feb, hailstones bigger than walnuts in July!

i'm sure I speak for a lot of geordies, but we've been patient, and we've had to put up with this sh*t performances for over, what, 4 months now? I'm not even sad really, its happened so often, i'm kind of used to it, I think we now know pardew isn't a top 10 manager. We're just going to go down to sunderland level, mid table fighting relegation. every single newcastle fan who spend their money to see newcastle play, just get ripped off. I'm not going to actually go up to a game this year as I live down in the south and costs a lot of money to get a flight coz I hate 6 hour drives, i'm not going to waste £150 on seeing some crap. why is it that every time we go 1-0 or 2-1 down we just start playing like west ham? Longball crap. Who the f**k wants to see that? What names are we going to attract now? I'm fed up of pardew, lost my patience, had enough but the question is how are we going to get rid of the puppet? I'm praying that there's a clause in there. Just please ashley spend some money and just try and get rid of pardew. Fellow geordies who are going to the villa game, if we lose I want you to sing "GET OUT OF OUR CLUB, GET OUT OF OUR CLUB! ALAN PARDEW, GET OUT OF OUR CLUB" and if ashley doesn't spend, add his name in there for the spurs match.

Believable4 Unbelievable4

You are not alone.

We have to get Pardew out for the good of our club.

I think I speak for everyone in saying we like Pardew as a person, but we cannot carry on down this path.

Agree4 Disagree3

Do you think Ashley would bring in another manager that was not a puppet ?

Agree2 Disagree1

'Sunderlands level' ?? It is only in recent times that newcastle have been better than us due to your club spending money on players they couldn't afford, so essentially you were way out of your depth spending money that WAS NOT available tryingto appease you sorry lot without actually winning a single thing. Now you have egg dripping down your faces and it feels so so good to be a Mackem right now watching you plumment to the depths you truly belong. Nothing but a circus act. 7 points and another 7 years. Mind the gap.

Agree6 Disagree1

Safc fan here, oneill will build a good team, it will take time but he will get plenty of time off short, get rid of the brucey deadwood first and watch safc turn the corner, remember clubs need stability and after what pardew acheived last year I reckon you owe him a bit of time.its the money stumbling block what is holding nufc back so it isn't really the gaffers fault because he is trying to get good players in, its the owner not speculating that is hurting your football club.tk73

19 Jan 2013 20:40:00
Alan pardew needs to either ship up or ship out no excuses his management is simply not good enough play football and attack teams is the way to win games nt go one up and defend its a simple as this lack of investment in the summer has resulted in this farce oberton, Williamson, guiterez, shola, gosling, vudik, are championship players at there best why does he still involve them they need to be moved on

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Vudik, is a good player, only. Kid, he will become top draw, wait and see if not with us without !

19 Jan 2013 20:24:40
Its a worrying time and the knee jerk reaction is to call for the managers head but who would come in?
For gods sake ashley get focused and sign some players before its too late or we heading for relegation, give Pardew 3 more games to turn it around and then we hit the panic button...imo, the players got to roll there sleaves up and battle for their prem lives

Believable4 Unbelievable1

19 Jan 2013 19:45:29
Newcastle could have signed Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa for 8 million euros.

19 Jan 2013 19:40:11
I wrote this same msg last month, people were quoting that I was being "a fickle fan"

Pardew has to go now - before he wastes money in the transfer market

The man is clueless and seems to have dropped his guard since the 8 year contract - if he remains, he will take us down no question

We need to start a Pardew Out campaign !

Believable8 Unbelievable4

Agree, and i'm actually serious about a PARDEW OUT campaign. I can't as I live in the south but my fellow geordies can on this site. We can't just sit back and Awww what happens, we need to make our feelings known. Newcastle is too big a club for pardew and he's a see grade manager, he's not a tactician. We need someone like martinez or Di matteo, or Steve Clarke so maybe hold out a banner saying DI MATTEO COME AND SAVE US

Agree3 Disagree1

19 Jan 2013 19:34:35
cant sit down..dont want to go out. I keep looking for some kind of hope on these pages but like me everyone seems devastated. I don't know who is available as far as strikers go but we are in desperate need of someone (Ameobi Cisse Ranger is there a worse strike force in the prem) I listened to a match report on Swansea and Danny Graham got tons of praise so for the sake of 5/6 million lets get him for next weekend he can't be worse than we have now. I hope Cisse finds his form he at least got in the position to score goals, the other two I don't think we could sell even to a championship side. Pardew the talk has to stop some kind of action is needed and needed this week

Once again williamsons shocking defending cost us another goal why is he still in the team rather have perch at the back

I would go for Martinez, as he plays quality football with a dreadful team (not hoofball!) Di Matteo got lucky with Chelsea but at WBA he was awful.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Martinez has been at Wigan quite a while now, and they are always at the bottom of the table.

He is attacking minded but I am unconvinced.

I predicted that the team Pardew would play was the team that he played...Because we had a clean sheet last week he kept Williamson....Jonas is available so he picks him (always does even though he has done nothing all season) Ameobi available so he picked him(he has done less than Jonas) to make things worse they were all still on the pitch at the end even though they were hopeless. At half time I said to my wife he will sit back and try to hold on to 1 0 he did. The subs he made even God would not have predicted those. I thought I would never say it but he has to go, he does not seem to know what he is doing.....one oour best motivators sits on the bench (s taylor)

I've tried so hard not to get drawn into criticising Pardew considering the tight pockets and long line to the physio's room. But today he was a headless chicken, he got his tactics so wrong in the second half I was waiting for someone to slap him. He's not a terrible manager but I don't think he's doing enough to keep his head above water. I don't want to see us fully devolve back to the manager in and out every 2 weeks but I can't help but think about Shearer and the 8 games he got. It could soon be too late to change things around and there are some half decent managers out there. RDM for me.

Believable4 Unbelievable2

19 Jan 2013 18:11:30
Sorry pardew but you gotta go! your tactics and substitutions are laughable and hav lost us another 3 crucial points against a crap reading side. Just seen your interview after match and you say we couldn't repeat our 1st half performance, maybe that's because you took Marveux and cabaye off and went defensive after 64 mins. I was at the match today and I think it's safe to say you've lost the fans! Get Martinez in now!!

We're all on here complaining about the lack of signings and the board not funding transfers.

Now after today's effort I think we all agree that we need them urgently, but I for one, am not sure I would trust Pardew to spend it.

The guy has no idea, howay the subs show this

Believable4 Unbelievable2

I doubt Pardew is involved in transfers anyway, part of the problem.

He is just there to coach and let Ashley do what he wants.

Agree2 Disagree2

19 Jan 2013 17:59:19
How easy was it to see that gutierrez was the worst player on the pitch today?
First half was sound, Cisse should have scored 3 arguably, but the second half was just awful.
Williamson didn't hoof it up from the back once in the first half, but every time he got it in the second he did.
Cant understand what the hell Pardew must have said to the lads at half time...

Believable5 Unbelievable2

19 Jan 2013 17:39:18
Pardew said at the start of the season that Newcastle are in a different league to Everton. He is a wise man because by May they will be.

We are in serious trouble. Pardew is tactically inept. Cabeye and Marveux and put bigi and perch on? Brilliant. The biggest question has got to be how does Jonas stay on the pitch. Awful.

Believable4 Unbelievable2

Couldn't agree more mate! jonas was appaling today cabaye and marveaux were our best players and yet pardew takes them off?!?! absolute joke today. No passion. No desire. No nothing. Pardew has to go imo.

Agree5 Disagree2

Cabaye got injured wasnt pardews fault

Agree1 Disagree2

He knew Cabeye wouldn't last 90 minutes so that makes taking Marveux off even more stupid! Who was going to create? Fair enough if you want to tighten it up take Shola off and let Marveux run at a decrepid left back. One bright thing Debuchy!

Agree3 Disagree2

19 Jan 2013 23:39:33
Cabeye didn't look to injured running off the pitch. To make it worse you got that person, ranger on twitter slating the fans for booing. Totally clueless.

Hi all, Everton supporter here. I feel so sorry for the fans of newcastle, great club with a fantastic fan base. I've never rated pardew, just look at his past history with previous clubs so how the hell did he manage to get a contract signed for so long! What was it 5 years?
Ok you did well last year but you all know that football is like a rollercoaster ride. so do you press the panic button now and save your season by sacking him and getting someone else in which will incur paying him off. Or cross your fingers and hope it goes down too other teams getting beat on the last day of the season too stay up? As a Evertonian I know that feeling from the past and its not nice so hope you guys and can scramble back up the table. good luck!

Thanks, wish Moyes was our manager tbh.

I have a feeling that Ashley will spend money on 2-3 good players this week, after seeing that performance.
Mbiwa looks almost there(fantastic player)
But as Ashley was there today, It must have told him that this is the time to spend big.
If not I fear we could be going down!

19 Jan 2013 17:03:52
I've been patient, but Pardew should be sacked. We were controlling the game with a midfield of Cabaye, Anita and Marveaux. But what does he do? Takes all three off for Perch, Obertan and Bigi. We can't blame lack of players due to injury any more, we're only missing Benny. Get him out before the Villa game, because if we lose that, I'm seriously worried. Ideas for who we'd like to come in? I'd want Laurent Blanc.

Believable5 Unbelievable3

Yep I agree he's totally lost the plot and looks like he's lost the dressing room to. We were in complete control til he decided to change it. I was at the match and 1 thing I can tell you for def is that he's lost the fans. Everyone in the ground can see he lost us the game

one striker we need two or three !! cisse is a joke !!! he hasn't got a football brain !! and if I hear he did last year I will scream !! last year was a flash in the pan he is utter garbbage

Believable4 Unbelievable3

Gotta admit I was a massive fan of cisse last year but I think this year someones sent a clone! he wouldve buried them chances last year! desperate times now!

Agree4 Disagree1

Exactly he just stands there hoping for the best that the ball will magically fall to his feet. Its absolutely pathetic he needs to take his finger out and start working for the team!

Agree8 Disagree1

I agree Crappa Cisse needs to go. He doesn't seem to know the offside rule, can't control a ball and has no idea where to make the runs too.

Agree1 Disagree0

Fickle or what, the lads been dumped out on the right all season so Ba could play central .What person puts a free scoring player out wide in a position totally alien to him. All he's done is put Ba in the shop window as Ba wanted and destroyed Cisse's confidence in the process. Get some passes to the lad on the floor and stop hoofing them at his head.

Agree1 Disagree1

Have you been to watch them this season. Cisse's had plenty of chances to score and most are put to his feet. He just lashes at the ball every time. Last season he was lucky some went in, this season he bearly hits the target.

Agree1 Disagree0

So who still has faith in Pardew, who still thinks we need to cut our costs and not buy players?

There are a few of us on here have been trying to tell some of you this was happening.

Are you ready to get on board with the real fans and try and save our club yet?

The people that have been arguing we should keep quiet, wait until the transfer window closes, and stop whining about Pardew... you all know who you are.

Nice one pardew, take marveaux and cabaye off and bring on bigi and perch, tactical genius he is. I wonder how long it is until there's talks of him getting the sack, probs in the next 5 years when we're in league one. Last season was a one season wonder. Pardew cannot get the best out of average players, cannot motivate the players to go on and win the game. We need a whole new board, some quatarian owners and new manager (would be happy with keegan, di matteo).

Believable5 Unbelievable3

Poke it with ya keegan crap.... martinez of wigan is who we need... never a pass longer than 20 yards

Agree3 Disagree4

The only change that was needed was jonas for obertan!! let cabaye get a full 90 in or even 80. I can't understand why in the second half the small guys marveaux and anita couldn't put some passes together has pardew ever heard of pass and move and by move I mean towoards the goal in which we wish to score the midfield seemed to sit still !! The influence and confidence cabaye brought back was there for all to see even cisse was getting numerous shots on target one had ogo in later. Man of the match federici unbelieveable saves. reading 2 shots 2 goals NUFC 10 shots 8-9 on target 1 goal 2when things arent going your way2 well that's a fact!

Sorry, but Pardew has to go, we have some great players, Coloccini, Cabaye, Cisse, Krul, Tiote, Ben Arfa and Debuchy but we are losing at home to a team 2nd bottom and their best player was a sub for us last year Guthrie? Questions have to be asked. Long ball, f off with that, first half was decent but long ball then more long ball, it is a joke. Replace with Roberto Martinez, which we can play good football, he would come European football, a big club, 50,000 fans, bigger budget. Also Roberto Di Matteo and Lauren Blanc as 2nd and 3rd choice

cut and paste from toon blog MIKE Ashley's taken a hands-on role in Newcastle United's transfer business - with the club's Premier League status on the line.Toon boss Alan Pardew's desperate for two more signings.

Newcastle were just two points above the relegation zone ahead of this afternoon's home game against Reading.

And Pardew says Ashley is acutely aware that he has a "weak" hand until further reinforcements arrive.

However, Pardew - who isn't involved directly in transfer negotiations - refused to make any promises to supporters, mindful of his pledge to keep hold of striker Andy Carroll, who left the club two years ago.

"They've had enough false promises from managers here in the past, even from myself with the Andy Carroll situation, " Pardew said.

"I'm not going to fall into that trap.

"All I will say is that since I have been at the club - which is all I can talk about, my history here - we're the most aggressive I've ever seen us in terms of the people who do the negotiations.

"Mike, Derek (Llambias) and Lee Charnley have been aggressive in the market.

"They know that I'm weak, and they want to strengthen my hand. I thank them for that. Hopefully, they get the players."

I'd like to start by saying I am fully behind Oardew and the way the club is run, only a hypocrite wouldn't be.

This isn't a rumour as such, just what I think from what I've been reading on various sites, but I think Haidara will sign as back up to Santon (not a replacement), I also think Moussa Sissoko will sign. I do think we'll get a striker in but I'm not sure who, maybe Aubameyang will reconsider his stance. France football reckons he will.

A centre half won't be signed until the summer.

I hope I'm right.
