Use our rumours form to send us newcastle transfer rumours.

Newcastle are not good enough, and will be relegated if they do not buy anyone!

We need a new Striker, Cisse is not good enough, and needs a partner. Remy has a track record of injuries.

The defence was shocking today.

Midfield was also shocking, no depth, and attacking force.

I think Cabaye will leave last minute, and maybe Krul aswell.

Newcastle need to invest, but Mike Ashley won't put up the funds.

Joe Kinnears oly job is no buy and sell players. With no one brought in, and no one has left, this means Joe Kinnear has not done his job!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

There was little Cisse can do.

He was the only player positioned in an attacking role.

Unless you want him to beat 5 defenders and score without supply or support.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Aug 2013 22:23:31
Only signng we'd be happy with this summer is Joe Kinnear's P45 and we'll all be happy.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

19 Aug 2013 22:18:29
Jamie Carragher is talking about the Newcastle defending, saying nothing has changed since the Liverpool 6-0 game. He was not saying it to be nasty either, he was seriously frustrated and concerned by how bad the Newcastle defending is.

This is a really really bad sign. Pardew is on thin ice.

There is nothing wrong with losing to man city, but that performance is not good enough for the premier league.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

19 Aug 2013 22:14:03
City wanted debucy not sure anyone would take him for free after that

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I have been saying that he is shocking ever since we got him, but everyone has disagreed.

He can't defend, can't tackle, always out of correct position, can't cross, not very strong.

What is he good at. Giving away penalties, fouls, getting booked, giving the ball away.

Does everyone agree with me now?

Agree0 Disagree0

To all those who criticised Danny Simpson, hang your heads in shame.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sammy ameobi laughing after the whistle with dummet if they can't take the club serious then why should we

Believable0 Unbelievable0

! A traveling circus have been slaughtered tonight, the 11 clowns and a ventriloquist dummy where butchered in Manchester. eye witnesses said the amateur "football" players were no match for there attackers, some described the scenes as "shocking", the amateur team are now buried (4)feet under!

Agree0 Disagree0

Sad but true.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Aug 2013 22:04:40
Please Mike Ashley spend some money tonight was unbearable.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

19 Aug 2013 22:02:18
but wait we lose to a so called poor fulham side and now you lot are talking about relegation which I said before your game! word of advice wait until you lot play your games before taking the mick and in my honest opinion apart from krul, colo, ben arfa your awful, sissoko is decent but another hothead like tiote, mbiwa, debuchy, taylor, cisse. lot of red cards for you lot this season and that ain't being biased because I'm a mackem!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Man City may only lose 1 game at home all season.

Losing to Man City away and Fulham at home are very different things.

I am concerned about our performance, but we are still better than Sunderland.

We would beat Fulham at St. James' Park.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd rather lose to man city than being embarrassed at home to fulham. You do know man city have the best defence in the league in the past few years.

Agree0 Disagree0

Safc fan here, my daughters other half is black and white and he was quite optimistic tonight and plumped for a tight 1-1, I said 5-0 and he scoffed, newcastle aren't too bad going forward, but the backline is atrocious, hence 68 goals leaked last season, and still hasn't been addressed, its defenders not forwards you need, and viceversa for safc, anyway I hope you get what you need, good luck for the season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Were bad and so are yous. Only difference yous spent a hell of a lot of money to be bad. Yous Will also go to city and get beat but we won't loose to Fulham at home. Top dogs again this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol so that wasn't embarrassing? You where humiliated in front of millions and that Fulham side would beat u easy on that display, God your deluded if u see any good in that shocker

Agree0 Disagree0

Top dogs again this season?

Geordie Al

Agree0 Disagree0

I will definitely keep hold of the "Top Dogs again this season" comment! You were'nt top dogs at all last season! ALMOST GOT RELEGATED LIKE US. GET YOUR HEADS OUT OF THE CLOUDS AND GET TO REALITY FOR GOD SAKE. You're at best a mid table team this season again. And so are we. So don't even mention being Top Dogs. and beating Fulham at home? We'll see about that!

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Aug 2013 21:55:29
Dummett and Krul = ONLY positives

Believable0 Unbelievable0

What happened to the Champions League spot?
Reality is s bitter pill to swallow.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't believe I have seen a Newcastle fan say we will get a Champions League place this season. So I am unsure as to where you get this idea from.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jeez that would be the same thing that happened to your fantasy wish-list. It ain't happening. The only difference being we never said CL you created your wish-list. Deluded.

Agree0 Disagree0

Which CL spot? I haven't considered Newcastle as a Champions league team since Bobby was sacked we're not all deluded.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Aug 2013 21:54:29
Verne Troyer could have played in nets for man city and kept a clean sheet.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

19 Aug 2013 21:47:01
I know we are playing city who are one of the best teams in the league, but we are even worse than I feared.

Debuchy is awful, can't defend to save his life.
Taylor is poor and absolutely stupid for getting sent off.
Sissoko and Tiote are both a waste of space, can't pass and can't create anything.
We look tacticly clueless and are championship standard at best.
We are going to emulate QPR this season.

After this result everyone is just going to be laughing at us. Any players that we had hoped to sign will just laugh.

Cabeye will be gone within a week and the club will be in turmoil.

It's all just getting worse and worse as the days go on.

Will be very lucky to get out the bottom 3 at all this year. At least last year there were 3 teams worse than us but it doesn't look like that this year.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

So Champions League is not on the cards then?
JK will be dissapointed.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bottom of the league already.

It is amazing how Manchester United and Man City are top of the league after 1 game and we are bottom. Says it all doesn't it.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's only one game calm down. We were outclassed by quality and tactics.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's only one game calm down. We were outclassed by quality and tactics.

And skill and pace and commitment and fight and the ability to pass and move and knowing where the goal is and having a manager who knows what he is doing and owners who back the manager with new players to improve the team and and and.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Aug 2013 21:44:29
bottom of the table, city or not you lot are awful and have the nerve to take the mick out of sunderland!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Great start.
Yellow cards galore, one red and a poor goal difference.

19 Aug 2013 21:44:16
Shocking! So easy for city ashley you won't be getting another penny from me totally not good enough to attract 52,000

Believable0 Unbelievable0

19 Aug 2013 21:33:04
I am sick of all the persons saying we will get £20m or more for Cabaye. We will probably sell for £15m

Believable0 Unbelievable0

19 Aug 2013 21:29:33
Nothing I have seen tonight suggests we are any further forward than we finished last season, not playing for the shirt, totally unorganised and indiciplined. One game of course does not make a season but as good as city have played we are frighteningly bad.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Nothing has changed at all, and we were relying on Pardew to change things. I mean what has he been doing all summer? I do not even know what to say anymore.

Agree0 Disagree0

I feel like sobbing watching Tiote launching hopeless long balls to Cisse.

How is Cisse supposed to pull out of the air long balls from 'Tiote' when he is on his own against Kompany & Lescott. This is clueless. I just do not understand what the plan was before this game, there is NO plan more than likely.

Pardew standing beside the drawing board ''alright check, you kick the ball to Cisse'' that is our big game plan.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

19 Aug 2013 21:22:41
I was trying to be optimistic b4 this season with having players for a full pre season but Taylor was murder b4 his sending off debuchy looks like he's going to get sent off & way way way off the pace mbwia looks the same & I hate to say this but a good hiding the night we might end up with new players & last of all i'm gutted about cabaye he was the player I thought was going to b our captain for years now his head has been turned by a crap arsenal, feeling absolutely gutted :- (

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I didn't think Mbiwa was too bad, he just got pulled apart because that clown Taylor dropped the team in it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good players go to bigger teams and do you really blame him for wanting to leave your circus? expect ben arfa and cisse next to go!

19 Aug 2013 21:22:09
Hello my black n white friends. bet you regret laughing at at SAFC getting beat. it looks like you will be bottom by the end of the match. its 3-0 now could have been 6-0 by the 1st 15 mins in the 2nd half. at least you can smile, keep up the good work lads. HAHA

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Now now, Largey there is nothing worse than gloating.
I am shocked at you.
I can't stop grinning, the wife thinks I have lost the plot. She could be right and I've joined Pardew & Co.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nearly as funny as your dark horse team getting beat at home to Fulham. Think before you type.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Aug 2013 21:20:09
This is worse than last season all the players seem to be ball watching again anybody think Pardew knows he s gone cabaye won't be last one to be sold I do feel sorry for pards Ashley won't back so what can he do the bench tonight is so weak I really think were gona struggle

Believable0 Unbelievable0

19 Aug 2013 21:19:17
Growing very concerned.

2 weeks of the transfer window left, let's hope this man city massacre will lead to a few names coming in.

I feel sorry for Mbiwa & Ben Arfa, they are way too good for this nonsense.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I heralded the arrival of Mbiwa but he has done NOTHING at NUFC to suggest he is any good at all.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

19 Aug 2013 21:13:40
Right were playing city I would of took a 4 nill defeat before the game, they are a class above. But god the Newcastle squad is poor.

Norwich, sunderland, Southampton, wba, fulham etc teams were competing against all have stronger squads.

Very worried, cabaye getting sold, sissoko rubbish, tiote dreadful, no width, arfa is inconsistant needs selling, defence is poor, debuchy, Taylor are championship class. Collocini not interested, mbiwa I'm undecided on, Anita too lightweight,

We are not that good I'm telling you, its OK saying we look good on paper but you play football on the pitch.

We are going to need Krul this season, thank god we have him.

Were going to struggle. We can't defend, we can't create, we can't finish, we have no game plan, poor style of play, clueless management and training.

We need new owners, management, coaches, players and I won't hold my breath for any of them.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The squad is good, the problem is without doubt the coaching and management.

Pardew has 2 games to keep his job I would imagine.

The players are not the problem here, there is no strategy, the players not fired up, this is all things the manager has to do.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree fully with the above post, but you forgot to add groufran and Gutierrez wouldn't get into a championship team.

Agree0 Disagree0

That was a close game, u could have sneaked a shot there lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Hba was ok had glimses of greatness and mbwia looked better at cb. Anita better than jonas and I don't think sissoko is rubbish. weak link S Taylor.

Agree0 Disagree0

How did you know it would be 4 nill? At 9:13.

Steven Taylor you absolute ****.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Taylor is a legend! How many times has he dived and won penners or handballed it and saved certain goals? He's a world class wrestler I mean hoofball player

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Aug 2013 20:54:32
S Taylor sent off, every cloud has a silver lining. At 2-0 (thanks to Taylor) we were never going to get back in to this, but Taylor will now be suspended.

What calamity, Mbiwa needs moved to center back, he has been fighting like a lion for the team in this game. Taylor just does not look like he is taking this seriously at all.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Merry go round to start- Cabaye sold 28m, chelsea will sign rooney paving the way for ba to rejoin quite frankly i'd take him not a lot left on the market, siem de jong will be brought in to replace cabaye and we will probably attempt to sign mccarthy or sinclair the clock will hit ten, jim white will have a coronary with all the excitement and that my friends is that

I have found myself thinking, sure, if we can get 20 million plus for Cabaye that's decent.

Then I remember that that money will never be reinvested into the team. If it was (and all of it, not AC transfer fee all over again) that would be a different matter, The bitter pill of losing our best player might be sugar-coated. But it ain't going to happen.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

19 Aug 2013 19:23:04
Cabaye not in squad so guess he's off

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It's not good to see cabaye left out must mean he wants to leave, if he wanted to stay he would have played. 10 mil is a joke of an offer, if arsenal or psg want him 20 mil is what they will have to pay minimum.
The cheek of arsenal biding for him on the day of our game, for that reason we should sell him to psg

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolutely hopeless 7 goals for sure maybe more

Down from the first game to the last
Hopeless team hopeless owner hopeless managermant. Great fans

19 Aug 2013 19:20:42
Cabaye not in team tonight. Well that's it for me.
Pardew joke prob say he is injured haha stop giving your money to this thief

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If the money is right let him go.

He was rubbish last season.

So long as we get a replacement or two, I will be a very happy chappy.

No replacement and I will join the voices of descent.

I had enough of him launching the ball at the corner flag and shooting all the time. Maybe we can play more like a football team and less like an American football team with Cabaye playing the quarter back.

Agree0 Disagree0

You expect £25 - £30M FOR A PLAYER YOU THINK IS RUBBISH?

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Aug 2013 19:20:16
No Cabaye in the squad tonight.

I seriously doubt it is anything to do with those clowns Arsenal though.

I think PSG must have came in with a big offer. I believe PSG struggled in their last game and Monaco look the business this season, so it would not surprise me.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

19 Aug 2013 22:24:12
I am a big football follower and PSG had over 72% possesion, hit the woodwork numerous times & had over 25 shots. Ajaccio had 1 shot all night and it went in. didn't struggle bud. Just one of those nights!

Joe has rejected the Arsenal bid told them we haven't anybody with that name at NUFC.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

19 Aug 2013 16:42:57
So Arsenal have bid £10m for Cabaye, Man U £28m for Fellanini AND Baines and we can't seem to put a decent bid together for anyone. I know there's still plenty of time left in the window, but all this low bidding does is annoy clubs and fans.

Wish everyone would get a grip and at least start putting some semi-serious money forward and stop with all this crappy foreplay otherwise my pre-season boner is in serious jeopardy.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Stay calm, mate. Arsenal can't hope to sign Cabaye for under £20m, they're loaded and desperate, and Everton have knocked back Man Utd's bid. Everybody's finding it hard to sign quality unless they pay top whack. There's a lot of talk about clubs 'strengthening' but most of the middle-sized signings are untried imports. And don't forget that we apparently had our bid for Gomis accepted. One other point that the Mackem's can't get their heads round: teams that struggle one season can improve in the next. We still have a good squad imho, plus Remy. Who would have thought Villa would slaughter Arsenal? Vic

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Aug 2013 16:28:42
Newcastle have rejected a 10million bid from arsenal. We will ask for around 20-25million, if we even consider selling. We should keep him, only ridiculous money then we should sell him.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yes, because Ashley is going to let Cabaye go on the cheap. LOL

There are parts of Ashley the fans do not like, but we can trust our owner when it comes to fools like Arsenal placing silly offers.

Ashley will make mince meat out of that Arsenal lot.

He will lead them a merry dance and leave them high and dry on the last day of the window with no players signed. (Although the way they are carrying on you would think that is the idea)

Arsenal do love to overcharge the fans and offer nothing back.

Cabaye won't leave.

my Team for tonight: 4-2-3-1

Krull
Debuchy Taylor Collo Mbwia
Sissoko Anita
HBA Cabaye Marveaux
Cisse

We need to keep the ball and Tiote just does not do that and in Sissoko we have a player who has the strength to give us a physical presence but is good technically and in Anita we have a natural ball player who can also tackle.

If Taylor is injured I would happily play Dummet and move Mbwia into centre half.

SpireToon

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We should play 4-4-1-1 I think we'll be too open if we play the same formation as city. I think Sissoko will be better in the free role behind the striker as he has better pace than Cabaye who can sit in the CM role and spray the balls around and launch counter attacks better. I would also have Tiote instead of Anita, because Tiote will give a better physical presence and is better at breaking down city attacks. I think Tiote was out of form last season because the players around him got too far up the field so they left him stranded. He will be better this season because the players will have more fitness to rejoin him in defending.

Agree0 Disagree0

Tiote breaks up play by giving away free kicks which cost us goals. He has been worked out and is a liability.

Well the way Ashley/Kinnear/Pardew are going to ruin our club I may just start supporting every team that the mackems play. Seems like more fun.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

That's funny. Everyone who Sunderland play are my second favorite team. Except of course.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Aug 2013 10:56:45
Ok, I just want to say, I totally agree, and you have every right to say what you have just said. I think just about every football fan is fickle in some way, even me. Everyone loved Pardew for getting us to fifth. Not one fan complained, because they saw us play some excellent, pass and move football (3-1 west from, 2-0 liverpool, 2-0 chelsea) and there were sparks of last season from 11/12, like when we beat chelsea 3-2, we played some excellent football, hardly any hoofball. Do you know why we played hoofball, bad results last season? I'll tell you why. Europa League. Yes, people will say its a poor excuse, but in that summer transfer window we should of bought at least 4 players in! at least 4 players of quality who could rotate and still give benfica a decent game! Simpson had no cover. Santon had no cover. Only had 3 proper centre backs and a utility player. Only cover for ba and cisse were ameobi and ameobi! Some of you fans, you may not be able to notice it, but in our play last season I could tell the energy levels in the players last season were just 0. Hopefully Faye Downey will keep the players fit and healthy and determined for this season. But in 12/13 just about every formation was terrible for the players, maybe the 433 worked but we were starting to get found out with that. I'll take the game where we beat spurs 2-1 for example. Ben Arfa was in the middle and he was surrounded by tottenham players, the only things he could were too try and skill them which would work 5 times out of 10, or pass it backwards so the defence get closed down more so they hoof it. Or when the ball was in the midfield, Ba and Cisse were just ball watching as 2 strikers standing right next to eachother, not one of them creating space or creating the opportunity to pass to. And you could tell, Pardew was fuming on the touchline, even when we were winning because the players still didn't have enough energy or determination to do it right. The amount of empty space or space filled with the opponents players, was shocking! But you cannot say it was pardew's fault for playing hoof ball, because it wasn't. It was the players choices, and they were pretty fatigued which lead to a lack of determination and creativity, hence why we heavily relied on ben arfa to create something.

The reason why I think it will be different this season and better this season is because:
1) The players do not have europa league to deal with, will have more fitness and time to work on tactics etc. in the premier league.
2) Faye Downey appointed as fitness director, she will certainly make sure the players are fit week in week out and are determined, which again allows Pardew to focus on other things.
3) Hardly any hoofball in pre season, there were quite a few crosses but we saw some good football.

Let's just take the Sunderland (3-0) game because we had the game against Benfica midweek before that, and i'll tell you why we lost.

Di Canio was recently appointed, so there was a different mindset in their players, our recent signings do not know what a Tyne-Wear derby is like, Taylor and M'Biwa had no pre season to get to know eachother or bond. Di Canio likes to work on fitness and determination and that was the advantage they had. N'Diaye was a prime example, he was like an engine (God knows why they loaned him out) he was getting from one end of the pitch to the other in no time, and that's what Sissoko, Tiote and Cabaye will be like this season. We were closed down so much that we were forced to play hoofball and we'd get caught with too many men up the pitch and Tiote was left stranded in midfield, hence why he had a terrible season. Those were just some of the key points on why we lost that you can't really blame Pardew for. Be as pessimistic as you like back to me, that's what I think and I know is true.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Keep dreaming it will be no different this season, same old average players.

Agree0 Disagree0

So much excuses!!

When you say That Cabaye, Tiote etc will be running up and down the pitch all day long with ease, I'm afraid that won't happen, quite a few of the players have complained about PARDEWS easy training sessions and that they aren't really improving, whilst Di Canio's over there banning ketchup!

Agree0 Disagree0

Why were the training sessions easy? Because the players were tired, shattered from Europa league. Why will it be different this season you say? Well if you didn't know we appointed Faye Downey as our director of fitness, so pardew will be given more time to work on preparation and tactics. So in essence our players should be more fit and prepared better tactically and in terms of fitness than sunderland

Agree0 Disagree0

The season we finnished fifth was emmence the energy and determination from the players jonas was quality that season and so was tiote and cabaye. obartan was an important player and no one can say he was rubbish against stoke when we won 3-1 at britania where at the time was a tough place to visit because of the atmosphere the fans created. that's why I still believe in pardew he kept us up twice and where most managers would give up he didn't the europa league distracted us and the most important signing this summer was faye downing as fitness director because we had too many injuries last season and when you have two of your best players injured cabaye and ben arfa then the team looks a lot weaker. and this season will be hard for pardew to pick a team with so much quality and potential in each player.
i think if we signed more players then people would be sayin we can finnish in the top 8 but don't forget the 5 signings and loic remy and with him sissoko and gouffran thay add more pace in the team which welacked last season and the season before that with only obertan our fastest player.

Agree0 Disagree0

''But you cannot say it was pardew's fault for playing hoof ball, because it wasn't''

What does a manager do if he does not instruct players what style to play?

If a team is playing a certain style of football, the manager IS to blame if it goes wrong.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jesas your excuses for the derby defeat to us are pathetic, these excuses will not take away the fact that your best players will be off, ashley won't fund quality replacements and you are going to struggle, every team is adding players and your management seem like screwing you lot over again, when are you going to realise that with Ashley and now kinnear in charge your going backwards!

2 weeks and tonight Monday to see what Joker (Stupid Dumb of F. all) comes up with. BUT it won't be Willian or any other Quality expensive signing.

Left until the last minute signings will be OK (if he can complete any) but just OK and it will show the hardliners that NUFC are not at the races when it comes to ambition or challenging for any Silverware,

I believe in pardew and the players. Last season we could'nt cope with two games a week on Thursday and Sunday it went against our system and most people forget that in per season we did'nt play our best eleven and had a better per season than last year losing 5-1 to Cardiff. I think our new signings have settled down and pardew, kinnear and Ashley know what they're doing by targeting only a one more striker as we hue more depth in other areas apart from the strikers department. I do believe on more winger but we have sammy, marveaux, obertan, gouffran, Ben arfa, Jonas Gutierrez even santon can play there so all in all one striker is needed to add competition with cisse ameobi remy and Campbell.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree mate. Come on the toon!

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't believe in Pardew but the squad with a good manager and an additional striker would be easy top 8.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why don't you believe in Pardew? He got us to fifth, but had a bad season because of lack of support from the board, europa league, injuries lack of fitness. Which lead to him using more time to work on fitness than working on tactics.

Agree0 Disagree0

So we didn't have a bad season down to poor tactics and poor team selection? Judging on pre season form nothing has changed tactics or selection.

Lmao, lots of pundits from papers and bbc ect predicting that sunderland are one of the 3 for relegation this year.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I'd be a bit worried if Newcastle play very well and couldn't even get a point against a poor Fulham side

Agree0 Disagree0

And? Some pundits said we could make champions league last season. Half the pundits don't know much.

Geordie Al

Agree0 Disagree0

Obsessed with us much!after what I saw at fulham I think sunderland will do pretty well, pundits are biased for southern teams and hate the north east even your wee tiny club

Agree0 Disagree0

We are a Wee club? What does that make Sunderland then? How is PDC revolution taking shape?

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha! Exactly! Mackems are just too afraid to reveal their anger and disbelief in Di Canio after their loss because they don't want to be embarrassed!

Agree0 Disagree0

It's cumming along well, what's the odds for u tonight, 10-1 that's what, pundits all talk crap. don't tell me u watched a game and thought we never should have lost that game? Don't get cocky your not far behind by the bookies and after tonight u will be a lot closer

Agree0 Disagree0

Sunderland fans happy with losing so long as there are a few positive moments, I guess that is progress lol.

They are going down, Fulham is one of the worst away sides in the league, it will only get worse for them.

Fulham at home is one of the easiest games in the league.

Agree0 Disagree0

Let's see how many are on tonight banging your drums, as for Fulham being an easy home win obv u don't know nothing about football there are no easy games anymore

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol we see who's embarrassed tonight jtoon. u agree?

Agree0 Disagree0

City away to Fulham at home is a complete different game. City have 18 world class players Fulham have non. Huge difference.

Agree0 Disagree0

In the last 10 year fulham have won more head to heads with us than they've lost so I wouldn't be too quick in calling it an easy home win

Agree0 Disagree0

Head to heads? That is because they are playing Sunderland. You get the point?

I have absolutely no idea on what Newcastle team will turn up, how we will play and what the result will be as we've been so up and down in the past few years. It doesn't look too good with the way this summer transfer window has gone.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I know 2 things for definite. Jonas will play and we will play longs balls from the back.

Everyone on about Willian yes we are intrest in him and I bet we would be intrested in Rooney, Messi, ronaldo aswell but doesn't mean we will buy them or even bid on them for that matter. We get Remy in loan and his buy out was 8mil so do you really think we are going to spend 15-20mil on a forward when we didn't buy Remy?. And before you start yes I know he has a court case coming up but that won't be the reason we have loaned him and nor bought him because we have still took him on loan paying his huge wages.

My newcastle starting lineup against city:

4-4-1-1

Krul
Debuchy Taylor Coloccini M'Biwa
Ben Arfa Cabaye Tiote Marveaux
Sissoko
Cisse

I chose Marveaux over Gouffran because Marveaux is more creative and can supply Cisse more, then gouffran can come on in the second half as a second striker. Tiote is in there to be the anchor man, not to attack and lose possession (like last season)

Lets hope we can get a point at city, at least.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Great. A CDM playing an attacking role. Is this Pardew? or were you just guessing by his lack of tactical knowledge? Also, marveaux is in and out of games, I think he's really good but hasn't had enough chances due to jonas playing really well lol.

Geordie Al

Agree0 Disagree0

I really like your team. But Pardew doesn't because you have not included Jonas.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would swap Ben arfa and sissoko in that team

Agree0 Disagree0

Sissoko is a box to box midfield player not a defensive midfield player or a winger so I would not swap him for Ben Arfa role.

Agree0 Disagree0

I put Sissoko in the CAM role (Like a free role) because he has more pace on the counter. No doubt city will dominate, cabaye won't have the legs to keep up and there's no point on him just trying to deliver to cisse if he's the only one up there. And Cabaye we be able to spray the ball around better as a CM.

I find it so deflating sometimes about Newcastle's transfer news. Like, you get one piece of news one day saying we're bidding on zouma or someone then the next says its not true, then the day after that there's news that we've shown interest in Willian or eto'o or aubameyang, and it just makes you dream of them playing in a newcastle shirt, and how much quality they could bring to the team and how much of a relief it would be to the fans, but then you read that its all fake or that another club have just signed them. Its like Ashley and Kinnear are toying with us. Getting us excited with "news" and "bids" and all of a sudden its fake.

With newcastle owned by mike ashley, I feel like all the newcastle fans are locked in a tiny cage, sometimes getting excited by finding a padlock (Ashley selling the club) but then discovering that we can't find a key (Ashley asking price just too high). As fans, we deserve to be watching Newcastle United week in, week out challenging for champions league, for FA cups and Champions league, just under Ashley, its never going to happen : (

I know i'm kinda stating the obvious, but just had to let it out.
