Use our rumours form to send us newcastle transfer rumours.

All this talk of pardew guiding us to 5th last season. Don't people remember how bad we were but kept picking up points. Ba and cisse kept scoring daft goals out of no where, plus a lot of desicions went our way. Take those wonder goals and descions away and where would we be?

This season is where we would be. Wonder goals, lucky desicions have gone. We still playing crap and very nearly went down.

We have a chance at a top boss in Benitez

Good managers who play excitting attacking football. Poyet/Martinez.

If we stick with the crap we have now and try change mid season. We will be left with rubbish like Hughes, Mclaren, MON.

Its not rocket science is it, the two of us Newcastle and Sunderland just want attacking football, be entertained and competative, the players giving their all and we are happy, trophy wins, cup runs, finals are a bonus.

We are not asking too much, I mean London clubs want the attacking football and the trophies the spoilt so and so's.

Of course in the long term we want to compete for silverwear but entertainment is the biggest factor.

Agree0 Disagree0

Martinez would have Newcastle playing mouthwatering football with your squad.

I'm a mackem so I hope you end up with mclaren or curbishly etc.

Agree0 Disagree0

We're not sticking with this crap. We're sticking with a man who when is backed by the board. Has nearly every player settled at the club and backed by the FANS he can guide us to the top 8. It's impossible to get lucky a whole season. It's about the amount of points we have. We played mouthwatering football last season and you know it. To go unbeaten in 11 games with the team we had was incredible and there was no luck involved we deserved every point. Ok maybe not the qpr game but other than that we deserved it. He lead us on a 6 game winning run with one of the most fiercest strikeforces and a beast in Tiote and the magician of cabaye. Why we didn't play ba on the left wing because we needed to delay his departure until January and he wasn't given any money in the summer.
He's going to be here for a while if we finish in the top 8 next season and I have faith and confidence in him doing that so let's get behind him, be positive and start talking about transfers news, rumours and everyone's predictions for next season!

Agree0 Disagree0

I have zero faith in Pardew he has shown this season what he is all about and the quicker he is the gone the better. His tactic, style of play and changes during the game are awful and his willingness to play Jonas in every position possible despite having better players available is unforgivable. Great first season awful second this what his CV shows.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mouth watering football?
What were you watching?

Best example of how we played last season for me, Swansea away. They battered us and cisse had two cracking goals to win it.

Gilly

Agree0 Disagree0

Post 2 spot on 530 pound to be bored and frustrated no thx. I want entertainment for my money and to watch us trying to play good football

Agree0 Disagree0

Swansea away, we played a great counter attacking game, we restricted them to limited chances despite them having more possession

Agree0 Disagree0

I mean mouthwatering football how we tore west from apart, brushed stoke as side with some passing football. outplayed manchester united. Saying that he has shown what he's all about is the equivalent of saying that last season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Three games from a thirty eight game season?

Agree0 Disagree0

Of course there's more games. Stoke away, fulham home, Liverpool home, spurs was a good performance, sunderland away and a lot more. Stop being fickle.

Agree0 Disagree0

Some people on here are obsessed with Pardew's CV, or Martinez' CV. Just a reminder - Souness had a good CV. O'Neill had a good CV. Allardyce had a good CV. Hodgson had a good CV. A good CV counts for diddley-squat. Keegan had never managed anything and was sleeping in his car, but gave us The Entertainers and 2nd in the Prem. Benitez may have had a good CV, but it all went pear-shaped at 'Pool. Pardew deserves another crack at it, but this time with more backing from the Board. If he's still failing after Xmas, then the whingers may have a point, but up till then they're just moaners.

Agree0 Disagree0

And after he left NUFC, Keegan's CV got him the top job. That went well, eh?

Agree0 Disagree0

Whingers? Do you mean concerned fans who are worried about the state of affairs at there club and have every right to have an opinion. It's clown like you who follow haplessly like a sheep why Ashley will never get rid of Pardew.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with the last post. I'm not a great fan of Pardew, but if he's sacked we get who? Another second-rater for sure. Most successful managers have been given a good long run in the job, eg like Martinez, and backed by their board/owner. As well as time, a manager needs luck and Pardew had no luck with injuries. It's up to Llambias to provide our manager (whoever it is) with a stronger squad of better players. If Pardew can't hack it in those circumstances, then get rid.

Agree0 Disagree0

Okay, now that Pardew's going to stay, we must bring more technical coaches with good tactical mind for his assistance. 3-4 players in the summer and we will be good till December where Ashley have to review our progress and consider whether to fire Pardew or not.

I really thought he would fire Pardew, and bring someone with a distinct style of play. Sure, Pardew has a distinct style of play, playing hoofball!.

Another season of excuses, excuses and more excuses.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agree that we need better coaching, Pardew said he's going to bring one in, but it's likely to just be someone he's previously worked with or played for him rather than someone with experience.

Youth coaching needs to be better as well, we've brought in youngsters from across Europe who have failed to make the grade (except Tim Krul, jury still out on Vuckic). These have usually been players we've scouted and seen as having large potential, too many have not only failed to make the grade but at the very least you'd expect they would play championship/league1 football or equivalent where they move onto but they usually disappear completely.

coaching staff at 1st/reserve/youth teams needs a big revamp.

Team for 2013/2014

Krul
Debuchy/Sakho/M'Biwa/Rose
Ben Arfa/Cabaye/Sissoko/Sinclair
Cisse/Aubameyang

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Rose will be back at spurs

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol rose will NOT go to newcastle, he will either be at spurs or if they get a new left back SUNDERLAND. Talks are going on now.

Agree0 Disagree0

How can talks be on-going if you don't know yourself what is going on at Spurs. He will go back to Spurs as competition. Spurs over Sunderland not a hard choice is it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not about the quality of the club
If I were in his position I would go to sunderland because he gets first team football every week and all season long, Sunderland fans have been singing his name even when he makes the odd mistake
Either that or go be a bench warmer at spurs where nobody really cares if you're there or not
If you think about it, it is an easy choice, but not the one you think, I don't like saying it but, he will go to Sunderland, he'll figure it out sooner or later

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree

If we finish with a win tomorrow or finish 11 or 10 we will get 3.4m extra that's a hba or sissoko. So who says there's nowt to play for!!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ben Arfa cost about £5.2m so not quite.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pardew going nowhere, now let's get behind him.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Why should we get behind the bloke who has nearly took us down? Just shows Ashley's ambition for the club when he backs this clown.

Agree0 Disagree0

We should get behind the bloke that nearly took us down (Coz of injuries, ashley didn't back pardew, lack of fitness and too many youth players being played) because he got us to 5th last season. that's why.

JMW

Agree0 Disagree0

So everything is down to injuries and fitness? Take your head out your ass. So our season has noting to do with negative tactics, clueless leadership, playing player out of position, playing players who shouldn't get a game and constant excuses. Are you Pardew by any chance?

Agree0 Disagree0

Not everything those are the main things. Get behind pardew and the team. we got 5th last season, he deserves another crack next season.
Get behind the team and stop being negative.

JMW

Agree0 Disagree0

What are the main things what you said JMW or the post below said? So what your saying is Pardew has no blame is our poor season. Its not being negative when you state the facts, just been honest.

Agree0 Disagree0

I said those are the main things, of course pardew has to take some of the blame he is the manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

Krul
Debuchy Coloccini saylor haidara

Ben arfa Cabaye Tiote Santon

Cisse Carroll

That Is the team that will make this great club finish again in the top 6 next season. All havnt been at there best this season but will be playing to there full ability next season

Believable0 Unbelievable0

There is no way Mbiwa should not be a starter for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Your missing Jonas. Now Pardew has declared that he is staying Jonass will play every week.

Agree0 Disagree0

Your deluded if you think that's top six, it would struggle to get top ten. Collocini is away and mbiwa is useless another bramble. tiote is proving this season what he is CRAP.

Agree0 Disagree0

Krul-Top goalkeeper deserves to play in CL
Debuchy-Regular french right back, top class still settling.
Coloccini-Outstanding in last few games and always has been.
Mbiwa-Was Rated at 18m and led montpellier to ligue 1 title.
Santon-Very promising player.
Ben Arfa-Top top class, champions league player not that far off from being world class.
Cabaye-Top playmaker can ping the ball left right and centre. Another player who deserves to be champions league again.
Tiote-On form, one of the best CDMs in the prem. he's not a pu5sy.
Cisse-13goals in first 14 games in one of the hardest leagues in the world, top class striker.

BOOOOMMM that's why we should be challenging top 6/8 next season.
You're obviously a mackem or a terrible supporter and don't know much about our players.

JMW

Agree0 Disagree0

JMW why is everyone a mackem or a terrible fan because they have their own opinion? That list you put together rating all these players, on their day you are correct. So I ask you this why did they not play like this season. Is it down to Pardew?

Agree0 Disagree0

Colo is leaving.
The papers can value Yanga-Mbiwa at 18m but he joined us for 6.8m, Why didn't Arsenal or Milan snap him up for such a small fee?
Ben Arfa is way too inconsistent to be world class.
Tiote has been awful this season and may not get back to his best form.

Agree0 Disagree0

Because that's what supporters are. They get behind the team no matter who's in charge.

when you have europa league to deal with, lack of fitness, youth players in the team who have no confidence, you have no choice but to play it simple. Yes there are some things that pardew did wrong e.g playing jonas all the time, playing ba and cisse up top but it still didn't work just so he could delay ba's departure etc. etc.
For example swansea's play, requires a lot of work rate, people who can run back and fourth for a full 90 mins. When we had europa league, our players became tired, would get stuck up at the oppositions box, and would not have the fitness to help defend the counter. i've watched some analysis of a few games, and it shows like the defence not pushing up enough, 5 or 6 players in front of the ball and pardew throwing his notepad on the floor, because the team aren't doing what he wants them to do. Its obviously a lack of communication and players not having the confidence. Ba said in an interview that the team work on possession a lot in training. So why would pardew tell them to play deep and play hoofball? Give some of the new players from january, time over the summer to settle in properly because they were thrown straight into the first team due to injuries. we haven't gelled properly, partly because of a lot of foreign players and Ba leaving. Although there is a lot more in depth things about why we've had a bad season, but I just don't have the time to tell you.

JMW

Agree0 Disagree0

Chelsea played more games than anyone in the PL this season and you don't hear them crying about fixture congestion. There is a team in the lower leagues who have played 63 games this season. You can say all you want but Pardew has been found out and he no answers.

Agree0 Disagree0

Because chelsea have a bigger and better squad that are already used to coping with fixture congestion.

Agree0 Disagree0

Chelsea do have a better squad but I do remember Pardew saying he was more than happy with the squad in the Summer. Not good enough needs to go.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well pardew can't say "i'm not happy with the owner we didn't bring in enough players" otherwise he'd lose his Job! Plus the media would be all over him.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 May 2013 09:45:55
Alright, firstly I must admit I'm not pardews biggest fan neither am I his biggest critic!
The way I see it is that either last season or this was a fluke we finished 5th on merit last year and will deservedly finish bottom half this year!
I say give him till Christmas and see how we're doing, bottom half get rid, pushing top 7-8 (I hope) then he's doing ok!
