Why are people on this site consistently posting rumours about NUFC being interested in Goalkeepers. Pardew has stated this is an area that does not need Strenthening Probably one of the strongest areas not only in our squad but better than 90% of the EPL. I support Borussia Dortmund as well as the Toon they just won the Bundesligue just sold Nuri Sahin to Real Madrid doubt they ll sell us Lewandowski, Barrios or Subotic they need them for Champions League plus they get crowds of 85000 per game so theyre not short of money !

No wonder football is in such a financial mess despite record tv revenues. Lord Sugar in his recent tv offering on football said as much. Cant believe after Owen, Luque, Xisco and many many others we are still cocking it up with Campbell, Perch etc. Weve got legends of ex pro scouts supposedly doing scouting what are they doing and yes we are paying them plus cars and generous expenses. Thank goodness Graham Carr is restoring some sanity like Steve Rowley at Arsenal and Mike Ashley for imposing a tight financial regime where every aspect of the clubs outgoings is scrutinised

Not so much a rumour, more of a thought, but if Jobi McAnuffs's performance for Reading was anything to go by last night, I certainly wouldn't be upset it he was interesting us. Quick, skillfull, with an eye for goal. Possibly available if Reading don't beat Swansea in the playoff final. At what price?

I would be happy with 2 genuine quality players in the summer and 2-3 up and coming/good squad players eg; jarvis, van nistlerooy, larsson, graham, welbeck. If jose goes i suspect he will be replaced with van Aarnholt, keep the rest of the squad together apart from lovenkrands, best, campbell, ranger (loan) and kuqi, with the youngsters coming through i think that gives us an exciting first team with a nice mix of pace, youth and experience and good overall squad, with van nistlerooy and larsson both free that leaves decent money to tempt wolves watford and man u to sell and jose money to sign van aarnholt.
