PSG just signed Zlatan Ibrahimovic for £16m and we're preparing a big for Carroll for the same amount....really?

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Ibrahimovic is the biggest mercenery going, he seems to change team every season has huge wages and obviously is a headache for managers. This carroll saga is a publicity stunt, wow, he is a geordie thats it guys, he is not a football genius, we can get 2 great players for 15 million that would compliment and improve our playing style! Boycott carroll he is not needed

Agree3 Disagree5

With Zlatan at Psg we should really put 8-9 million for Gamiero

Agree4 Disagree2

Ibra is over the 30 mark now and probably earns triple what Carroll earns.

If a player is earning huge wages over a 4 year contract and has no sell on value that makes ibra's fee huge over Carroll's (Not that we would be paying 16 million for one of the lowest scoring strikers in England at the moment)

Agree0 Disagree0

You won't be paying £16 million. You will be paying £20 million.

Agree0 Disagree1

If we are paying 20 million then we would of bid that instead of 12 million its that simple.........

Agree1 Disagree0

Id take the 20 million go to PSG and say we will take gamiero and nene with change to spare

Am I the only one who is starting to like and believe in Ashley, I mean if he gets AC back for 15m then that transfer to Liverpool was just pure genius on his part

Believable7 Unbelievable3

Not really sure what to say to this apart from i can see why some people call us 'fickle' if we are only just starting?

Agree0 Disagree0

You got the first part right.

Carroll back for 15 million would not be genius, What would be genius is getting him back for 10 million and he starts playing again or just not signing him at all.

dont think newcastle will sign carroll or anita

debuchy 7 mil
douglas 5mil
and a striker is a must as well seen a few foreign websites saying we are looking at callerjon from real madrid on loan view to perm move,

personally dont think newcastle need many players at all especially midfield maybe a lb cover and id be happy

krul
debuchy/tavernier/ryan taylor
colocinni/perch/williamson
s taylor/douglas
santon
gutierez/marveaux/ferguson
tiote/bigimana/gosling
cabaye/abeid
ben arfa/ obertan/sammy ameobi
ba/ ?
cisse/ameobi

decent squad and still given youth a chance as well

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Thought we'd stopped doing loans now?

Agree1 Disagree0

Wheres Afmilatano (something like that) I thought he showed some good touches the other day

Agree2 Disagree0

What about vuckic amalfitano.
Would get rid of Obertan, Williamson gosling if anybody would have them

Had to laugh at the Liverfool fans comments about us trying to sign Carroll. First they were saying he is not good enough for Liverfool and then all this crap now about not letting him go cheap and having a dig at us for booing him. Firstly, Liverfool are no longer famous, the big clubs in the prem are Man u,Man city and Chelsea followed by Arsenal,Spurs. Then we have ourselves,Everton,Liverfool and maybe aston villa. Secondly the boy is money orientated ie- i only want to go on loan. MEANING, no-one but that clown Dogleish would spend big money and give me 80 grand a week. Me? Id rather spend 12m on Moses and give Ba a deal to keep him then 17m on Carroll.

Believable6 Unbelievable0

Dalglish did a pretty good job of taking Newcastle to the knackers yard, Atleast when he did it to Liverpool we knew he didnt do it on purpose.

We should forget Carroll and pursue odemwingie due to bust up reports on BBC... Will be going for a cheaper price now

Believable2 Unbelievable5

Isn't Odemwingie like 30 years old or something. Way too old for us.

Agree3 Disagree1

He is 30 i dont think so

Is Carroll another smoke screen so that they can go ahead and sign someone else?

Believable6 Unbelievable2

I have heard this befor ,what would be the point of that.It was just a cheeky bid as they know Buck doesn't fancy him ,simple as that .

does any one know what team and formation we are going to play if we get debuchey, carroll and anita and still going to give ben arfa, ba, cisse, cabaye and tiote first team football

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Reckon Debuchy may be RW actually.

Agree0 Disagree2

Debuchy looked out of his comfort zone playing right wing for France. In his first two games ( right back ) he looked quality especially against England.

hope MA is smart with this AC deal and dosent sign him back its keeps been saying he only wants a loan move but y when he knows hes not even in BR plans and this is even before he has seen him train. most players these days who would find them se4lf in this situation would long to move to a new club on a perm deal but no AC only wants a loan and y is this so he is still getting 80k a week thats all this boy cares about is money and y after all that hard work of getting rid of players like that would MA even thing of bring another one back

Believable1 Unbelievable0

If he says he doesn't want to leave like he said about newcastle then he will be looking at a canny deal out of the transfer

Agree0 Disagree0

Perhaps it's a matter of integrity, not just money, he doesn't want to leave Liverpool knowing he hadn't fulfilled anything that he wished to do? It's not always about money. I'm not saying that this is the case now, but it's entirely possible

Agree2 Disagree1

I guess it's because by sayin "i want a permanent transfer" it could be seen as requesting a transfer and means he'll probably lose out some loyalty bonus/incentive in his contract.

Agree0 Disagree1

Or maybe he don't wanna get the boos from the Kop when he goes back lol. Remember he told everyone he didn't wanna leave the Toon too.

Agree1 Disagree1

For £80k a week i would lie to my boss aswell would,nt you.??????

It would be the worst trade in history if we get Carrol for Ba and +10£ million in between. Ba is a much better striker and worth more then Carrol. I hope Newcastle keep evolving instead and buy in a good promising striker to cover for Ba and Cisse.

Not a rumour as such but if we're prepared to offer 15+ million for a bang average striker who would probably make us worse as he wouldn't fit into our style of play any more now we have Cabaye threading passes and Ben Arfa playing RF. Half of that bid would probably land us a much better player in 'VICTOR MOSSES' He's a much better player and would fit nicely in the LF position. imagine that for a front 3 Mosses, Cisse and Ben Arfa with Cabaye providing the killer passes......lethal!!

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Mosses? 'Posibly' a good idea.
Prefer Hoilett though.

Agree2 Disagree1

Noone can really disagree with you but i think our hearts are ruling our brains when it comes to bringing carroll home.

pardew reckons 3 big name signings coming in more if we lose players ,we are linked with douglas/ch,debuchy/rb,anita/dm and a striker poss carroll, thats four different positions all of which would be big signings ,does this mean we are going to lose someone.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Tiote..............

Agree3 Disagree3

Could pardew not mean first team players, which means if we lose Simpson then Debuchy could come in and we could still get three other top signings. However I would prefer to get hoilett and a young striker than like castaignos or guidetti with the money supposedly available for caroll, as we need cover on the wings (marveux injury prone, jonas isn't good enough positioned there, and benny could get injured).

We have lost out on many targets looked on this year, de Jong, Mariappa, Clyne, Maiga. Ed where we ever interested in signing the last three now or was it only during January? {Ed001's Note - January mate, the club moved on to other targets.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Miaga was last season, and pretty sure clynne and marriappa have not been mentioned this window....k

Agree1 Disagree1

Lost one target this window and it was really down to the player wanting to play in bundidliga...........k

Agree0 Disagree0

De jong is the only target we lost out on and thats because Twente were taking the mick with the price and De Jong was wussing out of playing premier league football.
