Does anyone agree with me that Ben Arfa is being a little bit selfish, how he's saying oh maybe if I wasn't so immature earlier in my career, i'd be at a higher level.
Is he not forgetting, we're the ones who took a chance for him to make him happy again and to make him fulfil his potential! Footballers these days.

Not really HBA was meant to be naughty when he was younger. As for taking a chance on him, again not really, Mike got a bargain for him. Don't kid yourself, we didn't sign him to make him great, we signed him because he was cheap

Read an artical about how bayern munich have become a finanial success. Bringing in one of the biggest revanues in europe thanks to big crowds and huge sponsorship deals, they put almost everything back into the team. I know st james isn't alianz arena and wonga aren't t mobile but can't help thinking that its a glimse into the future at newcastle. Being self sufficient is the aim, then its the clubs success that will drive it forward.

Agree but self sufficiency isn't just the aim you need to do it just to survive. The days of owners throwing money like sugar daddy's into clubs are over. I can see a few clubs struggling to keep a float over the next few years, if they fall out of the PL. No names, no pack drills, but "Happy Harry's" for one.

If newcastle had to go for dries mertens or pea on the winger-forward I have to go with mertens because he is a better finish and can create more for others and has a good free-kick on him and k. Honda is a out of contract in the summer and so I want him in attack central midfield to go with siem de jong.
