If Ashley is on a budget, here's a few free transfers he could go for. I think most are achievable for us with a few hat would need quite a bit of persuading.

First and foremost we need a new manager and english players who know the league not overseas crap who don't have the experience or heart.

I'd love that too but they come with inflated prices. We should at least take Ince and Colback to push the existing squad. I don't think Ince will get more than £3m at tribunal.

as for a new manager - i've gradually become a Pardew supporter over the years but last week he started to have his first Joe Kinnear moments. He needs to find some respect for himself and stop blaming others than himself and Ashley. He's trying to sell season tickets by saying that he will perform a squad overhaul but I do wonder why the press never questions this tactic. If Pards is promising the overhaul and doesn't do it, he needs to walk.
and as for a replacement? the only takers will be the dreamers, no one of any great experience will take over this club knowing what goes on behind the scenes.

Our squad is talented. AP is ruining them, get a new manager in and a few people we will be good. Pardew and his coaching staff are ruining the players.

JT: we usually agree, but English players? So you wouldn't take Suarez, or Yaya Toure, or Mata? We need more like Gosling, Willo - why not get Barton and Nolan back? A good player's a good player, wherever they're from (until they get Pardewed). We desperately need to find at least two top-class strikers (I say three) and at least one genuine winger, as well as a CB - and I don't give a groundsheet where they were born.

I suppose you are right Vic, just need a manager who can motivate and get the best out of them
