Newcastle should sign Adam Johnson and Hoilett, both still young players with permier league experience. Should also go for Alderwield over Jan Vertonghen as he is younger and would probably be considerably cheaper. Get rid of ranger and simpson and bring in Erik Pieters.
I'd be more than happy and confident we'd give 3rd place a try next season if we keep first team together and sign those players mentioned, although isnt Alderwield a midfielder? we need 2 CB's!
Alderwield is the centre back partner of jan vertonghen at psv but is younger at 23 so as stated will be cheaper
I think we probably have to accept that someone worth keeping will end up going come summer, the only question concerns the price that we'll take
