Ashley has definitely put Newcastle on a better footing than the others before him. if I was getting constantly called an ar*ehole I don't think I would spend my money just to make you happy either (pick the bones out of that one)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Pick the bones out of what? Why buy the club in the first place if you are not going to back it and let it drift along with no ambition. Then constantly lie to the fans, bring clowns into the club and put them into positions they have no experience or knowledge in.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sunderland fan admiring Ashley, goes to show to bad things are over at the Stadium of Blight.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why let it drift along? there's at least 60million reasons why. All clubs are run by businessmen now and they don't do it for nowt do they. Ellis short made s few million from sunderland this summer and we aren't complaining or arranging a boycott. Plus things aren't that bad at the stadium of "blight" as you so succinctly put it. We had some bad results against lower teams ( who we could of beaten ) and were unlucky against arsenal not to take a point (arsene wenger even said we should have had a goal from altidore). We are playing attractive football for spells and things are starting to click. We still however remain positive and support our club. Wonder how well you guys will be doing when you get a couple of injuries / suspensions. Yo started well last season and look how that ended up!
P. s. no real sunderland fans said we were going to win the league and mid table is the very best we will get. Just being realistic

Lino keep kidding yourself. If Sunderland was being run the way Newcastle is you would not be happy either. Don't try and deflect the fact that you have made an awful start to the season when you all preached " dark horse and world class signings " this season. You have been outclassed and outplayed in all of your 4 games. Arsenal should have been out of sight in the first half you fail to mention that. You should think yourselves lucky you have a chairman who backs your club, not that it doing you lot any good but he backs it all the same.

Agree0 Disagree0

"Short made a few million and we aren't complaining" You also bought 16? players.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lower teams?
There is no lower than you mate! You are one of the lower teams. Sooner u realize that the better, talk about us beig deluded!

''Plus things aren't that bad at the stadium of "blight" as you so succinctly put it. ''

Can you explain how they could be any worse?

PDC has players refusing to play for him, the team are all over the place, PDC has signed a bunch of players he pretty much admits are not good enough for this level, but he seems to think he can train them be fit enough to just about survive. That is as bad it is gets!

If you really think things are not that bad, go ahead and give me an approximate month this year or next when you will be out of the bottom 3. lol

Agree0 Disagree0

The club is NOT just drifting along. we're merely making small steps to where we need to be. MA is a business man and he's not going to change things overnight. He knows the higher up we finish the more money he can get. But he's going to do it sensibly. The fans will not be able to force him out, but keeping the club well run as it is at present (JFK apart) will make it attractive to bidders.
Compare the squad that finished 5th and the current squad - there's small reason to think we are actually better now.
We need to maybe replace Williamson with a young large potential CD, replace Ameobi with young striker, and one or 2 other changes.
Would love to see the club buy more British, if Graham Carr is so good there's no reason why he couldn't do what he does in France in the UK.

Agree0 Disagree0

The club is drifting along take your blinkers off. We finished 5th 2 season ago. That summer we bought 1 senior player to add to an already under strength squad even though we had the commitment of extra fixtures. We flirted dangerously with relegation because of Ashley unwillingness to back Pardew. He is gambling again this season. Yes we all know we have a good 14/15 players but a couple of injuries to key personal and we will right in the mire. Ashley only interest is to sit in mid-table and pick up the money.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ashley backed Pardew with 5 players in Jan. 5th? we all know that was over achievement, but your right, that's no excuse to try and stabilise 5th. we can not compete financially for the top6. top 10 yes, and yes we do have a top 10 squad.
one step at a time.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ashley bought 5 players only because he knew we were for the drop. Those 5 players we bought were earmarked for the summer. He didn't buy them to back Pardew he bought them as his gamble hadn't paid off and we were standing over the trap door. They then said they knew they had made mistakes not buying more than 1 senior player but then did it again this summer. It's all lie and false propaganda. Fans are seeing through him now and Ashley knows it.

Who would fans prefer as a striker in a 4-3-3 formation, Lacina Traore or Seydou Doumbia?

I would prefer if we got Remy perm than either of those 2.

Agree0 Disagree0

He doesn't have the hair for that. And would look silly

Agree0 Disagree0

Is keegans perming room still open at sid james'?

Newcastle's January transfer business I think will be:

IN 25mil
Kurt Zouma 10mil
Aaron Lennon 9mil
Loic Remy permanent 6mil

OUT 4mil
Mike Williamson 1mil
Jonas 1mil
Obertan 2mil

Hopefully Kinnear will be fired and a proper DoF will come in.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Zouma won't come, Loic Remy won't be done till Summer. Obertan might be going to Nottingham Forest though loan with them thinking about buying him in January but not for 2m

Agree0 Disagree0

We spend next to nothing in the summer window do you really believe Ashley will spend 25 million in January. I don't especially if we are mid table when the winter window opens. That is where Ashley wants the club to be in and around.

Hey people first post here but have used it for a long time to try and see what's happening with the toon, but lately I only see people complaining. Thought this was a rumours site?

Whether you like Ashley or not doesn't look like he's going anywhere fast so just support the team and enjoy it when they win, could be worse, you could support 5unde1and (mind the gap)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It is a rumor forum but your on the banter page. I hate when people come on here crying about people moaning. Everybody is entitled to an opinion regardless is you agree with it or not. If you think this club is being correctly with Ashley having the clubs best interest at heart then good for you. I disagree wholeheartedly.
