Ashley was proud of our 5th finish last season and rightly so. Clubs in and around us strengthened in the summer and we stood bloody still!! We were lucky with injuries last season and our players played with heart in a 4-3-3 formation. Why have we went 4-4-2? Why are we frightened of what the opposition may do? Why did we not build on what we achieved last season? Why was our manager given an 8yr contract? I never heard that the Manchester clubs,Chelsea,Arsenal or Barca wanted him. Ashley has done an amazing job with our finances etc BUT the man has not got the vision OR ambition to take us any forward. What must Colo and Krul be thinking after they were told all this Bull***t about ambition for the club?

You are asking why and i will tell you,the fans up here are treat like dirt, because they will turn up if you put 11 penguins out there as long as they had the right colour shirt on.Do you think for one minute Ashley even conciders the fans,no, that was evident when he changed the name of the ground. Its all about money, dont let them fool you.He is a wolf in sheeps clothing mark my words.

Newcastle 1-2 Swansea
I would be swearing my head off but i shall use light slang words. A rubbish loss, but you know what? Im not even sure Alan is the right man for the job. Forget last season, we have to concentrate on the current season. Hughton got us promoted and at mid table in december, he was sacked, coz MA wanted champions league football. Even if AP has got an 8 year contract, I fear the same will happen will happen to alan and Ashley is very fond of redknapp. These three games, west ham, swansea, southampton should all be 3 consecutive wins. We looked so vulnerable on the counter attack. Alan, where was debuchy? Coz simmos crosses were crap. Alan, where was the cover centre back? Coz willo was shocking today. Alan, Where was the cover striker? Coz Ba and cisse have no pressure on them to get the first team spot. Absolutely ridiculous. I can't believe it. We couldn't get southampton tickets coz they were sold out, but i'm probs thankful that we didn't get tickets for them coz we're playing awful. No fluency in attack. Can't seem to pick out a pass to an unmarked person. I will probs get hate for saying maybe AP isn't the right man. But face it, who wants to finish mid-table this season? No one does. We want to consecutively get Europa league every season. Not do a stoke city. Maybe i'm just frustrated and angry from another home loss but i don't know whats wrong. Please someone tell me something to relax me.

Something to relax you, here goes, we were championship a short time back- get real.

Half of the premiership were championship not long ago, but we getting beat at home off them, whats the point of decent scouts if no investment, tiote? big teams didnt want him cos he always sent off, cabaye sems to play only if his mates coming, besides hba, all french so far are fringe players

Agree2 Disagree1

Yeah, if we were championship not long ago, and we finish 5th, we should build on that not just sit back and watch all the other teams improve.

We were so poor today again it was a joke. We cannot keep on relying on HBA who was the best player on the pitch to do something special to win us a match, for me it is 6 points dropped in two games because both West Ham and Swansea should have been beaten. Our passing was poor at best and if we cannot do the basics right we are not going to get anywhere.

There were however patches of good play and I did think that Anita played well next to Tiote and when Cabaye returns we they could be a good midfield trio; however at the moment we will need to revert back to Ba on the left for the good of the team and play Cisse in the middle, obviously not an option today .

What annoyed me the most was Pardew's substitutions... we should have bought on Maveaux earlier if not Obertan, again too defensive for our own good and we were punished again. I am a big Sami fan, but he should have been off ten minutes earlier in my opinion.

I think we are going to struggle to keep hold of HBA in January with Arsenal rumoured to interested as he will be becoming increasing frustrated with the rest of the team who seem to be average at best. New signings in January are a must and we need to push the boat out and get Debuchy, Sissoko and then a decent striker with a Maveaux swap deal on the cards at the moment for Remy, I would take it.

Again as I have said 6 points dropped and we cannot compete with the teams around us. Mid table mediocrity is what we can only hope for.

I think a bit too optimistic about mid-table,unless they pull their finger out.

Agree5 Disagree0

Well if we don't pull our finger out then redknapp for the job.

Well not the best first half, but hopefully Alan Pardew will give us that really inspirational team talk and tweak something that will make us look like the team that beat man united 3-0. I want us to come out to the second half and really turn this game around hammer swansea at least 2-0. I hope we will put on a good attacking performance next half. Taylor has been outstanding, defo deserves a call up for england. But we do look a better team than against west ham. But we need to change something to make us less vulnerable when swansea attack. But already we can now pick out a pass IN FRONT when we attack. This is a defo must win game.

Bench looks weak today, thing swansea have a stronger bench. You never know though, some one could come off te bench and become an instant hero.
