5 players signed and all good
Grenier Benteke CB all wuality but won't happen
WHY because NUFC only want 8th in the Premiership
& are not interested in any cups Not being negative but tthat is What we have been told

Heard Ashley has an interested party to buy NUFC
but an also ran team has to be improved
and we are seeing that now.
CB striker could make all the difference
8th or there sboutd is all Ashley wants
so the recent signings are players we need be thankful for

Well that is according to Ashley so let's hope it is true
and someone takes us to the next level
In the meantime we have a better team than the one
that finished last season

I'll be honest, recently I said we didn't need Grenier. but now thinking about it, he's the perfect replacement for cabaye and we need more competition in the midfield. Too many players last season like Anita, Sissoko and Debuchy knew they would automatically just walk into the team because our squad was paper thin, that's why they hardly put any effort in on derby days etc.

I think there may still be a chance of m'biwa staying as he played against oldham, he's a future captain for us.

Maybe this could be our transfer window? or am I dreaming too much?

Sell:
Cabaye
Debuchy
Marveaux
Ben Arfa
Obertan
Around £37m for those

Buy:
Janmaat
Richards
Colback
Grenier
Cabella
Zaha
de Jong
Riviere
PEA/Lacazette/Hernandez

However these players could cost around the £50m mark, but it's what we need to do. But how much of that net spend is actually coming from Ashley's back pocket, not much I don't think. So far we are slightly stronger than the first half of last season, but we've only replaced. Additions of Richards, Grenier, Zaha and PEA/Lacazette/Hernandez would make us significantly stronger and a definite top 8 team on paper.

Would like to see a more fluid/pressing/attacking style this season, regardless of our team.

Maybe similar to that 4-1-4-1 "false 9" system that Pardew used for 2 games in October? Outplayed Liverpool and the mackems but didn't get the results. A vert flexible formation, I know Pardew isn't that type of manager but I just hope he has an extra determination to try and get himself back onside with the fans, and maybe a change in playing style could be on his mind.

So far so good, JT - in fact much better than I expected, to be honest, but it's the next two signings that really matter. A top striker and an experienced prem CB would make a big difference!

Spot on Vic & perhaps a decent keeper to keep KRULL on his toes Elliott is stop gap

JToon, the issue is the payroll. last season with a paperthin squad we were just within the financial fair play rules. A player like cabaye would be awesome in the squad we have now. Although I can't see anymore signings now. I am chuffed to bits with the quality so far. If guys like sissoko and mbiya up there game as a result it will be literally like signing a new team.

I still think we are not finished buying players yet. still six weeks to go till window shuts. we need a pacy winger ( who can cross the ball ) another centre forward plus we need a mobile centre half. squad players leaving will free up wages
