Thank God we don't have to go through another roller coaster transfer window. I can now happily relax and enjoy the rest of the window and maybe see if we get one more! unlikely i think but lets hope.

Wasnt long ago when AP said he wouldnt be buying a striker and whenever anyone mentioned a striker coming in they were shot down and at times quite rudely or nastily. I just wonder how many of the people who come on doing this are now going to come on and hold their hands up and admit fault and admit theyw ere wrong and not the people posting! Bet none are big enough to do this!

Lets hope if cisse signs on the dotted line he adapts as quickly as BA and from what ive seen on youtube he looks like a smashing player with a real eye for goal and will be deavastating alongside demba!

Since Newcastle is going to sign cisse then ba is more likely to stay because they are striking partners for senegal

Just a couple of thoughts that come to mind...

Cisse and Ba are good friends so why would Ba suddenly leave when he can stay and play alongside his friend?

We knew we needed another striker so why sell Ba now- although I admit that its always possible and it would soften the blow.

Also, wouldn't the arrival of his friend make the likelihood of Ba accepting a new contract with no clause?

A real sign of intent with Pappis Cisse. Hopefully If we could continue this sign of intent and push for a european place then two more signings would be great ideally Samba and Cissoko. And for me two very important signings in securing new contracts for Collo and Gutherie and I think we will then have a goos squad. I just hope there isn't a sting in the tail and we lose either of Tiote, Cabaye, Ba, Krul or Collo.

I think it's funny that when Sunderland said they were interested in Cisse he said he was flattered by the interest.

When we said we were interested he flew from Africa to Newcastle. Haha

Newcastle United are set to seal a deal for Freiburg star Papiss Cisse, Sky Sports understands.


demba ba is leaving then.

That's wrong on so many levels.
Cisse has been signed to play WITH Ba, not FOR him.
Ba and Cisse are mates and at the ACON together therefore Ba has probably had input into convincing Cisse to sign so they're not likely to sell Ba if we sign Cisse.
Have some faith.

Why are fans getting worked up about who is coming/going, and critisising the club for not letting the fans know what is going on with regards to transfers?

Would prefer them to scout players (Tiote/Cabaye/Ben Arfa/Santon etc), but before putting a bid together release a statement letting the entire world know who we are after? Thus alerting clubs with more money (but a poorer scouting network e.g Liverpool) that the player is available for x amount?
What would the point in that be? We are fast becoming the smartest operators in the transfer market, and i for one am very happy with the way the club are going about their business.
I don't need to know who we are buying until we have his signature at the bottom of a contract, and he is wearing the black and white. (it's fun guessing though).

And as if to prove my point we look to have tied up Papiss Cisse for around 7.5million quid. Sorted. Who saw that one coming earlier today? Let the bin dippers get Defoe for £20m, i know who i'd prefer.
